Diner Reviews
  • "Cute place, nice ambiance. Was pretty empty for a Saturday night. Cheese plate was good, but one of the 3 cheeses was awful and inedible. Other 2 were wonderful. Nice wine selection. Duck Tacos were amazing. Salmon sliders really great."

  • "Our Red Hat Shady Ladies had lunch after a tour of the mayor's office on Thurs. We had excellent service, a table large enough for the 12 of us to converse and good food."

  • "I've been to the Sunday brunch several times and never disappointed. The food is always great and cooked to perfection. The fresh prepared Sangria is something to die for!"

  • "Food & drink were great, no complaints. However, the service was really lacking. Our water glasses were always empty & we would have each had another drink had she showed up to ask. When she did deliver our food she nearly knocked over a full wine glass, which we luckily caught as she just walked away. Too bad, the actions one brought down the experience,"

  • "First time we went there. Our server was attentive, energetic and knowledgeable without being over-bearing. Food was excellent - great portions. Overall atmosphere was comfortable and private enough to not hear everything going on around us - even though tables are close together. Have several out-of-town friends who would love this because of the selection of drinks - especially the Johnnie Walkers. If you are headed to an event downtown, definitely try Nosh!"

  • "We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. The soup was the most delicious I have ever eaten. The service was simply outstanding. We went there two nights in a row as it was handy to the Brigit Saint Brigit presentations. The menu was varied enough that going to the same place was just fine. Happy hour drinks were good. The only problem with the spot is that it is often difficult to find a place to park, especially if there is something at the Holland Center or Century Link."

  • "Maybe just an off night, but service was very slow. I thought the pricing was high and the salad with Steak add was a joke. It's the first time I've seen a salad with steak and receive chop steak piled on the side."

  • "Everything we have ever ordered here has been very tasty. Their flatbread is amazing. Wine list is extensive; music on Wednesday nights. It is not a huge place, and so is an intimate type place to have lunch or dinner, meet friends for drinks after work, and enjoy great music as well. I was lucky enough to have been able to sing there for a special event recently. Nosh is conveniently located in downtown Omaha. Easy walking distance to The Old Market or NoDo sections, the TD Ameritrade College World Series ball park, etc. Wait staff is attentive and food comes out promptly and piping hot. The menu is not huge (like a chain type restaurant), but there is something for everyone's tastes. Highly recommend Nosh."

  • "I felt the atmosphere in the restaurant was very cozy, great place for friends and family to come and have a class of wine and appetizers or to have dinner. I felt our waiter was polite he did not try to engage in just friendly chat while taking our orders. he was just not personal. enough. again he was not rude just not personal. I will be back and so will my friends."

  • "we chose this restaurant because it seemed like it would be romantic. We were extremely disappointed in the service the food and the amount of time we had to wait for our table when we have a proir reservation. The staff seemed like they couldn't be bothered with taking our order or refilling drinks and or food and the overall evening was definitely effect as a result."

  • "This would be a great spot to grab a glass of wine and an appetizer."

  • "Disappointing. I opent tabled reservations for 6:30 and they didn't seat us until 7:10, They were busy because of an 8:00 concert but the should have have planned for that. When we did get seated our waitress was barely available. We had to flag her down for everything we wanted, including ordering. When our apple walnut salads came, they were missing the apples. She did bring us a bowl full of apples but it seemed a bother rather than their mistake. Additionally we ordered a flat bread that we had to ask for because I think it had been forgotten. The manager did comp our salads and our flatbread. We would've rather had a nice dinner and paid. I've gone for drinks at Nosh many times but not dinner. I think I'll stick to drinks."

  • "We have been to Nosh on numerous occasions... Date night, afternoon fun, Creighton games, group events, the Wine dinner. It's always consistently fabulous! They know wines and make great recommendations. The GM is attentive and almost always present. The food is soooo tasty, most notable the steak sliders, the hummus, the fig and apple flat bread, really any of the flatbreads. Oh the fries! Mmmmmm. Oh and the duck tacos are delicious too. I've been there with family, girlfriends, my husband, and they've all enjoyed it? Did I mention the The Wine Dinner!!!? It is the most exciting presentation of food and wine, absolutely first rate."

  • "Nosh has become our favorite spot for food and drink before and after Creighton basketball games. Nosh takes reservations, has great food, and a good wine selection. The service is timely and friendly. We will continue to have Nosh as our number 1 choice before Creighton games."

  • "My husband said his steak was one of the best he's ever had. All four of us were satisfied with our food choices. We all also commented on the great acoustics in the restaurant."

  • "Our group of four had a fantastic time grabbing a bite to eat and some cocktails before an Omaha Symphony performance. Within walking distance of the Holland, it's perfect! Our server (Jessica, I think?) was attentive without being cloying, and was great with food and cocktail recommendations. FANTASTIC booze selection plus creative and delicious cocktails. Happy hour menu ROCKS - will definitely have the duck tacos and steak sliders again! Even the fries are delicious! Cozy ambiance and great location - we will definitely visit again!"

  • "Selected Nosh for a romantic New Year's Eve dinner. Had reservations for 9:00 and was not seated until 9:15 despite several tables available. Upon seating we were informed there was a NYE party at 9:30 at $30/person if we chose to stay. We were allowed to finish our meals so long as we left immediately upon finishing our meals. The wait staff moved tables for the dance floor which was the main dining area. We, along with three other tables, were what awkwardly remained before this party started. Wait staff was occupied with rearranging the room and it was a stretch to get a post-dinner coffee and no dessert was offered. I would give Nosh another try next time I visit; however, I would not do so on a special holiday."

  • "We were there on NYE and had reservations at 6:30. We arrived at 6:25 and it was not busy yet but the restaurant was filling up. We did not order our food until 7-the staff was slow to check on us. By 8 we had not received our food and needed to leave to get to the CU Basketball game. We ended up leaving without eating. The waitress never checked on us regarding our food..until we had to ask and she said she would check. I believe a manager came out and said it would be 10 minutes and bought us a round of drinks. 20 minutes later we had not received our drinks or our food."

  • "Food is great! The presentation is classy for a wine bar. Nice selections of small plates and dinner specials. Hats off to the chef. Love the warm cozy atmosphere. Our new favorite place in the old market. Love the fact that you can make a reservation not always the case in this area of the city."

  • "Absolutely nothing to dislike here... Great service, surprisingly varied menu and decor was very relaxing. Only potential shortfall would be that the tables are a bit close together . I am trying to find something negative and that is all I can think of."

  • "My wife and I had recently relocated to Omaha. We didn't want to cook on Thanksgiving so we made a reservation at Nosh. There was a slight mistake in the reservation which was addressed by Lila (the owner) via email. She could not have been more courteous and generous. The restaurant was cozy and welcoming. As it was Thanksgiving at 5 pm, there were several patrons already seated to our surprise. Our server was friendly and provided a good explanation of the menu and the specials. It turned out that she was Lila, the owner. She was working so staff could have the holiday off. After about 1/2 hour, the restaurant filled with people. But Lila was gracious and attentive to all. We cannot wait to dine here again."

  • "Although the food was ok, I wouldn't suggest going here before a show. Arrived at 6:15pm and had to wait almost 25 minutes for first drink. I could understand if the place was busy, but I have to chalk it up to slow service. Food took a long time as well, which was only appetizers. Had to dash out for an 8pm show a block away at 7:45pm, so it was hard to enjoy our time there."

  • "A good place after a concert or ballgame. They offer entrees or small items. Wine list is good . Many places in Omaha make you feel like you are keeping them up if you go after an event past 9:30. They were very welcoming. They have great specials that we will return to try such as date night which has a special menu and very reasonable,1/2 price wine on Sunday nights, and a few more things on other nights. My salmon sliders were very good but my wife had some nachos that were cold and clumped together.Hence, the medium ranking for that evening."
