Nose Dive is awesome for people with dietary restrictions and food allergies. They can make a lot of their menu gluten free! The bar is great and outdoor seating right on Main Street. Service was a little slow, but they were very busy and our waiter was kind. Great experience!

I visited with a party of 4. We all ordered different sandwiches, and each of us loved our meal. The service was great, and the ambiance of the outdoor seating around sunset was very pleasant. Our server Georgia was great too!

  • "Nosedive" Off a Cliff!
    LAWFoodieVIP
    Dined on 9/27/2014
Drinks took over 20 minutes to arrive. One was mostly water and cheap gin, no elderflower as promised. Hard cider smelled like cat urine and had to be returned. Hamburger ordered medium rare came out looking like a scoop of raw meat on a bun. You could literally reshape the patty is was so raw. Barely room temp food. The waitress apologized and did take the burger off our bill. Every table seemed to be having issues with orders. I noticed several tables returning drinks as well. They seemed unprepared to be busy even though it was a Saturday night, local college football games and family weekend at Furman. Nosedive certainly took it's name literally that night because it was like a "nosedive" off a cliff! Will not be back after that fiasco.

Very disappointing. Went a year ago, and had a much better experience. This time, our drinks came after the appetizer (mine didn't come at all; waitress said "they didn't make it"), food came lukewarm, my fish was tough, and overall, the service was POOR.

This is a good place to go for a simple lunch or dinner. It is good casual dining. We ate outside for pre theater dinner. The waiter was great, but the restaurant was "slammed" and our dinners all took a very long time to arrive....too long to be comfortable. In the past when outside dinning is not an option (which doubles their capacity), timing has been fine....so they need to work on that.

We were told kitchen was 30 min behind so we ordered appetizers salads and dinner at the same time. we were assured our meal would come out separately after the appetizers and salads. They brought appetizers and then three minutes later brought out of salads and I'll meals.needless to say a table for 6 was completely overwhelmed with dishes and balls scattered over the table.when we address this with the manager he just shrugged his shoulders it didn't seem like he gave a damn about our inconvenience. He did say he was going to come out appetizers but in reality he only compt 2 out of 5 appetizers.I do not recommend anyone going back to this restaurant. this was out second visit the first time it went great but this time was a flop.

This is a great spot on Main St with an eclectic selection of variations on pub food. I love the tacos, pulled pork or curried chicken. Brunch has a grits bar, different. Also love the mussels. Great tables outside for dining with the dog while people watching the crowds. They have a fine beer selection including rotating draft beers.

We've eaten at Nose Dive at least 30 times! It's usually GREAT, but this time our food was just so-so. The sage biscuit, however, was excellent! The tacos (we had two different kinds) were both bland. The veggies were bland. The sweet potato fries were way too salty. One person in our party loved the burger, though we all thought the tater tots and grit tots lacked flavor. And we used to get a scotch egg, but it's no longer on the menu. It will be missed! Phil was training as a waiter and he did a great job.

Nose Dive has always pleased me and the friends who have joined me there. The current cocktails are loaded with layers of taste. We enjoy the menu that is not overloaded with choices yet provides unique food experiences. The one thing that has typically lagged is bar service. Can't understand why it takes so long to be served cocktails when ordered and why our wines arrived midway or at the end of eating the entrees. Our waitress also removed plates while forks were in midair, even though ND was not crowded. No one was waiting to turn our table. Still, the food and beverages are wonderful!

I tried the spiced tater tots side dish this visit, and they were pretty good. For my main I went with a burger, but "medium" ended up being a very pink almost red center, so next time I will definitely order well done here. Food came out right and fairly quickly, overall great experience.

The food was very good but much too salty. I had the fish and grits and while the fish was cooked to perfection, it was overpowered by the salty grits underneath. Could not eat most of the grits. My mimosa was mainly o.juice, not much champagne, but the waiter accommodated me by adding more champagne to my drink. I added poached eggs to my order and they were cooked just right - no salt! This was our second visit to Nose Dive- we'll probably come again.

Simply put, the unfortunately named 'Nose Dive' is a very good find. The Chef blends flavors and textures extremely well and adds a new twist with every dish. Classics like deviled eggs and pork tacos are made anew and exciting. We visited for dinner on the 4 of July and had a really nice time. I wouldn't describe it as necessarily romantic just because it has that bistro feel. But, you won't disappoint your date if you go there. The wine list is concise though not comprehensive. The food is fresh, interesting, and definitely for foodies. Highly recommended. Also they have an extensive GF offering.

We met out of town friends and had outdoor seating. It was our 2nd time at Nose Dive. We are guessing our server was new since he didn't have answers to all our questions about some of the entrees and just read off the description on the menu. Also, just handed us a list of beers not listed on the beer/wine menu. He was attentive. Our first experience our server was very knowledgeable. We would go back. Enjoyed eating outside and watching all the people going by.

Have been to the Nose Dive a couple times for lunch which proved to be great quality. I enjoyed my beet salad and risotto for dinner. The beets were different colors and very tasty. A few less candied walnuts or even plain walnuts may have been a better choice too. Our friends said the fish and chips were dry. I am a vegetarian and this proved to be another challenging restaurant for me in Greenville. Naturally I always prefer more vegetarian choices. I did have a great glass of chardonnay called Paperboy. It was inexpensive and delicious.
