Upbeat and lively neighborhood restaurant with a beautiful brick & beam decor. Great bar & lounge with flat screen TV’s, keno and comfortable booths. We feature a varied menu featuring fresh seafood. There is also a great selection of grilled steaks, pasta sautees, dinner salads and sandwiches. Everyone loves the Northworks. Meet with friends, families or business associates. We have a terrific children's menu and we guarantee they will love the free popcorn. Week night specials, half priced appetizers in our bar & lounge Mon - Thursday 3pm - 6pm.
Loaded lobster bisque now available every day. We take reservation for parties of four or more and offer call ahead seating for others. Having a party, we can accommodate parties of up to 25 in our dining room and 35 in our lounge. An ATM is located on the premises. The best part of all is that the food is great and the prices reasonable.

  • "Ate here on 3/23 (four of us) before a show. Has the old mill/tavern feel.. cool ceilings. Food was great we all ordred something different and enjoyed our meals and appetizers. Friendly service, would definetly eat here again."

  • "We had never been to Northworks and found it online. We were going to Tuckerman Hall and wanted to eat before the concert. We made reservations and found the restaurant to be a pleasant surprise. The waitress was terrific with a nice balance of professionalism and sass (which we loved). The food was good, prices reasonable, and we would easily return."

  • "Unfortunately, the service wasn't great. Im pretty sure the server had too many tables because everything took very long especially the check out. Food was mediocre. Wings were nothing special, and the ribs were bland. Mashed potatoes were really good. Stir fry was caked in sauce. I was a server for 4 yrs, and I was really expecting more from the service of a restaurant like this. Disappointed"

  • "We booked a last minute table at Northworks Saturday night at 6pm, prior to a concert at DCU, glad we did as the wait time for tables was long. This was during the Worcester restaurant week so they were offering a 3 course special. We were seated right away and our server took our orders quickly (we always make quick decisions). Ordered the calamari with two sauces and it was one of the best I have had. I also got a stuffed salmon which was cooked perfectly. The others in my party enjoyed their food too. The waitress was really good, you can she was just one of those that never stopped working and made sure we had everything we need and checked on us just about the right amount."

  • "Moderate cost, a little bit more expensive than a 99 Restaurant but similar fare. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal."

  • "Food was awful.. 4 of the 5 meals were not even half eaten... Advised waitress and she just said "sorry" no offer to do anything about it.. Not going back there again!"

  • "Our table was ready, but in an awkward location at a corner. It was 10 minutes before a server arrived and at 7 the special was no longer available. The dinners were your everyday average taste, but the portions were small. I had a small piece of haddock a small spoonful of cole slaw and a lot of rice to fill up the plate. This was our first time here, and it will not be my first choice next time."

  • "Off the beaten path of restaraunt row, this is a hidden gem with plenty of easily accessible aprking. The style is sports bar, food is hearty fresh and good. A great find near teh WPI gateway area for lunch or dinner. Great nachos and burgers!"

  • "Northworks Bar and Grille is an affordable choice among Worcester's many $20+-a-plate restaurants. My husband ordered the prime rib for under $20 and very much enjoyed it. Also on the menu are half-size meal options which are still quite substantial. While the food may not be cutting edge cuisine, I would recommend this restaurant to those who may be on a budget but want a good meal out. Even with a few glasses of wine served to our party, our bill only came to around $100 for dinner for 6."

  • "Went for New Years Eve Nothing special but nothing bad. Food was pretty good, a little pricey I thought. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive."

  • "Based on the the Diners Choice award, I expected more from Northworks. The service was good, the ambiance was warm and friendly and the food was good but not great. In retrospect, we probably should have ordered the burgers. It's likely a good place to meet a friend for a drink or for a lunch spot. Comfortable but not gourmet."

  • "Although this dining experience could have been long forgotten and this survey unanswered I am compelled to respond. Our waitress made the experience worthwhile. Quick, fun, and personable, she easily sparred with my haunting and the entire table laughed. This makes fair fare fast better and lightens a dark environment. It always comes down to the people."

  • "We were seated immediately in a side room which was perfect for our group. The menu is quite varied and everyone was pleased with their selections from burgers to pasta to sandwiches. Our server was attentive. Northworks has a casual upbeat atmosphere and we will return again."

  • "Popcorn is a nice touch. Interesting layout helps keep noise down. Service was good. My dinner was just okay. I ordered medium rare steak and got medium verging on well, just barely pink in some places. I told the waitress and she made an excuse about not picking it up right away (but since it came out quickly I'm not believing that). She offered to have them cook another one but I was starving so I ate it. Just very disappointed. First time in years that a restaurant couldn't get a simple steak right."
