We ordered appetizers and dessert and neither were very good. The calamari was o.k. but the bruschetta was soggy and the stuffing in the mushrooms tasted stale. The spring rolls were not appetizing either. The ice cream sundae literally had NO fudge and the puff pastry in the ice cream puff was like rubber. This was my first time in this restaurant and I will not be going back. Our waitress was very nice but never offered us another drink or came back to see if we needed anything....she was busy.

When my GPS took me to the back of the building i wasn't sure I had the right place. I found my way to the front and parked right on the street. Almost walked past the small sign, not much going on in the area. When I walked in i was pleasantly surprised. The place is beautiful inside. Awesome bar with beams and great architecture. Service was fast, food was delicious. Very happy to have found this place. The benefit to the small sign and unlikely location is maybe I'll be able to keep this place to myself, but they were actually very busy. I can't wait to come back.

I always make it a point to visit Northworks Bar every time I come into town for business or to visit my son at college. The food and atmosphere is always a hit with my family, especially the fish entrees. The service is top notch and the staff makes you feel very welcomed. I would highly recommend this restaurant, and I expect to keep returning during my future visits to the Worcester area.

Our party of three ate here on Sunday evening before going to the Hanover Theater. We had the Prime Rib special; salad was ordinary lettuce, tomato, cuke and we asked for rolls which arrived warm. Prime rib was tender and tasty and sides were ok-green beans and baked potato. The sweet potato fries were $1 extra and were obviously previously frozen so definitely not worth the extra money. A bowl of popcorn arrives with your drinks which is a nice touch for kids. This was a quick, reliable pub meal before the theater.

We enjoyed our Easter dinner there. We got seated right away (we had reservations), and I liked the fact that it wasn't a brunch or buffet menu. They did have Easter specials but they also had the regular menu available. The food was very good and I really enjoyed it!

We had never been to Northworks and found it online. We were going to Tuckerman Hall and wanted to eat before the concert. We made reservations and found the restaurant to be a pleasant surprise. The waitress was terrific with a nice balance of professionalism and sass (which we loved). The food was good, prices reasonable, and we would easily return.

Unfortunately, the service wasn't great. Im pretty sure the server had too many tables because everything took very long especially the check out. Food was mediocre. Wings were nothing special, and the ribs were bland. Mashed potatoes were really good. Stir fry was caked in sauce. I was a server for 4 yrs, and I was really expecting more from the service of a restaurant like this. Disappointed

We booked a last minute table at Northworks Saturday night at 6pm, prior to a concert at DCU, glad we did as the wait time for tables was long. This was during the Worcester restaurant week so they were offering a 3 course special. We were seated right away and our server took our orders quickly (we always make quick decisions). Ordered the calamari with two sauces and it was one of the best I have had. I also got a stuffed salmon which was cooked perfectly. The others in my party enjoyed their food too. The waitress was really good, you can she was just one of those that never stopped working and made sure we had everything we need and checked on us just about the right amount.

Our table was ready, but in an awkward location at a corner. It was 10 minutes before a server arrived and at 7 the special was no longer available. The dinners were your everyday average taste, but the portions were small. I had a small piece of haddock a small spoonful of cole slaw and a lot of rice to fill up the plate. This was our first time here, and it will not be my first choice next time.

Northworks Bar and Grille is an affordable choice among Worcester's many $20+-a-plate restaurants. My husband ordered the prime rib for under $20 and very much enjoyed it. Also on the menu are half-size meal options which are still quite substantial. While the food may not be cutting edge cuisine, I would recommend this restaurant to those who may be on a budget but want a good meal out. Even with a few glasses of wine served to our party, our bill only came to around $100 for dinner for 6.

Based on the the Diners Choice award, I expected more from Northworks. The service was good, the ambiance was warm and friendly and the food was good but not great. In retrospect, we probably should have ordered the burgers. It's likely a good place to meet a friend for a drink or for a lunch spot. Comfortable but not gourmet.

Although this dining experience could have been long forgotten and this survey unanswered I am compelled to respond. Our waitress made the experience worthwhile. Quick, fun, and personable, she easily sparred with my haunting and the entire table laughed. This makes fair fare fast better and lightens a dark environment. It always comes down to the people.

Popcorn is a nice touch. Interesting layout helps keep noise down. Service was good. My dinner was just okay. I ordered medium rare steak and got medium verging on well, just barely pink in some places. I told the waitress and she made an excuse about not picking it up right away (but since it came out quickly I'm not believing that). She offered to have them cook another one but I was starving so I ate it. Just very disappointed. First time in years that a restaurant couldn't get a simple steak right.

I ordered stuffed shrimp and thought they were very good. My husband ordered a filet mingon "rare". The steak was more medium well....we normally just eat what we get and don't complain. Our waitress, Valerie" noticed my husband wasn't enjoying his steak. She asked if there was something wrong. He still didn't complain and just asked for steak sauce. She said she could tell there was something wrong and he said that the meat was too well done for him. She immediatly took the plate back and had another filet prepared. It was perfectly done and he enjoyed it. The only problem was that we didn't eat together because his dinner had to be reordered. We were very impressed with Valerie.....she knows her stuff.
