1. On the website, the restaurant offers to send a copy of the menu if requested. I requested the menu twice -- on line when I made the reservation and verbally when I was called to confirm the reservation. Neither time was the menu sent to me.
2. The service is almost too good. We were asked repeatedly regarding drinks, bread, etc. and the requests almost became intrusive.
3. The noise level upstairs where we sat was "energetic" but tolerable. My only issue was with the noise level. It isn't that big a restaurant but when full the noise level was very high. I had to really raise my voice so that my friend could hear me and vice versa. It is all hard surfaces so it could be remedied. We were seated at a corner table upstairs, the best location in the house we later discovered. The room quickly filled and altho we remained private and were not affected by the noise level, the other tables in the room were very close together and the ground floor level was packed and boisterous. Tables much too close together and sound level frenetic. If yelling at your partner is your thing, this is the place to go. Aside from that the service was just fine and the food very good except for the pork confit served as an appetizer which turned out to be a very heavy hunk of dry and stringy meat. A burger with duck confit and pickles, sound unusual, but was very tasty. The daily menu changes with what's fresh and has always been a wonderful selection. We have bought different people with us to dine and all have nothing but rave reviews after the meal. Favorite is North's popular skillet brownie, which we look forward to everytime.
