Catering: Give us a call. We can do pretty much anything up to 250 persons or so.
Entertainment: North Star houses a built-in music producer who has access to incredible talent from the area and far beyond. Every week there is something memorable happening musically there. Wednesday is acoustic night beginning at 8:30pm, great for girls night out or a special date. Thursday rocks the house, with great bands starting at 9pm. If you like to dance to rock 'n' roll, this is the place to be. Sunday features the incredible voice of Dennis Collins, someone who is asked regularly to sing with the biggest stars in music. He is truly magical, and sings every Sunday night at 6:30pm.

"This was our second try and we've decided it is not worth a third visit. Yes, the food was good. The lobster dish was really quite delicious. However, both my dish and my husband's crab cakes were just a bit more than lukewarm. We really don't understand it as we were one of only a few tables there as we arrived a bit before 5:30. I think the problem is not with the kitchen but with the waitstaff and management. Our waiter was certainly pleasant enough, something we cannot say for the "host", but I notice that the staff congregate together at the bar chit-chatting. Professionalism and a convivial vibe are lacking here."

"It started out on a bad note when we arrived and were seated at table right next to the kitchen. This, after requesting a "special" table [since it was our wedding anniversary] in the center of things when we made the reservation on open Table. However, after making our disappointment known, they moved us to another table and from then on they went out of their way to make sure everything was up to our liking. As usual, the food was terrific as was the atmosphere. So, we ened up with a great evening. We'll continue to go back."

"I know, Mac & Cheese; been there, done that. Except at North Star, it is to die for. After the first bite, I wondered if there was a bowl big enough to satisfy (next time, I'm ordering it as a main course). Other offerings included sauteed calamari in a light broth, my dinner partner had the veal meatballs in a tomato lemon sauce that smelled wonderful, and these were just the appetizers. The live "dinner" music (singer and piano) added to and made it more than the usual Sunday dinner."

"North Star reminded me of a review of another restaurant; essentially, the critic wrote "in some places they look at you as though they were saying 'Lucky you' to be joining us, but here you get the distinct impression the staff is saying 'Oh boy - lucky us!' that you've decided to come to our restaurant". We were made to feel most welcome, and while the atmosphere is casual, it is anything but down-scale! The halibut was underwhelming (the fish portion itself was on the skimpy side and unremarkably seasoned, and the bed of mashed potatoes on which it sat were thin and actually cold), but the turkey meatloaf was out of this world. The Sunday nite live music was perfect! It's a bit on the pricey side, but we will definitely return."

"Excellent food and fine service. Definitely an excellent place for inventive cuisine. Only negative is the TV that can be seen by half the restaurant -- diminishes the otherwise wonderful atmosphere. Don't let this be a deterrent, though -- great place."

"We thoroughly enjoyed North Star. Quick, courteous service...easy-on-the-ear, fun music duo (Motown songs, mainly)...great menu (don't know how they managed to pick our favorite meals/appetizers and then surprise us with interesting desserts!). We even had a view of the game. Would definitely go back."
