"This was our third visit and it lived up to our past experiences. We never hesitate to recommend this restaurant for food and service. We dined on 3 of your signature dishes and tried several desserts, all meeting expectations. We look forward to the summer months so we can also enjoy your outside seating."

"What a suprise! Usually old buildings with high ceilings have poor acustics but not here. Food was good and service prompt. Very freindly place will certainly add to one of my regular spots."

"This restaurant is good but not one that is high on our list. It's a good neighborhood eatery if you live in the area, but I wouldn't travel very far to eat there. Again, good, but there are so many places that score better. That's particularly true in the downtown Milwaukee area and especially the Historic Third Ward."

"What a nice experience dining here but Matt, our waiter, made it even better. He suggested dishes that we enjoyed and could not have been more engaging and wanting our experience to be great. Nice Job. Food was so delicious and we all took a bit home for later. The atmosphere is sophisticated but comfortable and I definitely look forward to another meal at this great spot."

"Our group, who are very discerning folks, all exclaimed about how great our lunches were! Everyone enjoyed the presentation and flavor of their food, and EVERYONE cleared their plates!

Of special note and delight were the serving sizes. Just the right amount of food; not oversized like so many restaurants insist on burying you in food, whether good or not. This was all very delectible and we were satisfied to the fact that we were fully satisfied and didn't have to waste any of the delicious food."

"I wouldn't call myself a regular at North Star, but we've been there a half dozen times or so. The food is always great, and I would rate the service and ambiance highly as well. The only criticism I would make is that the dining room is very noisy. Not in a "nice buzz" kind of way, but in a "should put up some noise dampeners" kind of way. Overall though, that's nit picking. This is a great spot to have in the neighborhood, I was happy to bring a large group in, and I'll be back many times."
