   We have dined here a few times over the years and every time it is a truly wonderful experience. Today was no different with our server, Gerald making us feel welcome and appreciated as soon as we were seated. We had the three course brunch and it could have been dinner. The starter of beef cheek on poblano grits with an egg over it was rich and luxurious. My second course was essentially a well prepared Beef Wellington with a delicious sauce. For dessert, the chocolate cake was decadent with miniature orange slices and mousse on top. A fantastic meal!

   Great environment for viewing woodland outdoor beauty and Frank Lloyd Wright inspired inside wood work. The kitchen created delicious and beautiful selections. The servers were just so kind and knew our every need. Excellent experience.

   We didn’t know what to expect when we went to North Pond. I was afraid that like a lot of upscale restaurants maybe they serve small chic servings, but you leave hungry. For me that is the worst thing a restaurant can possibly do. The food was beautiful. This service could not have been better. I haven’t had service like that in a restaurant on land . Only on a cruise ship and this was even better than that. The variety of plates used was wonderful. The changing of silverware, the tableclothes, napkins, the ambience, the demeanor of the service staff was all wonderful. The hostess and host of the restaurant came by and greeted. It was a wonderful experience. The music was on and it wasn’t too loud wasn’t too quiet. Everything was perfect. I made reservations to return before we left. The food was delectable. Every thing we are was absolutely beautiful and delicious. I loved how they started you off with a complementary little appetizer of breads. Everything was just perfect. I would not have changed a single thing.

   We’re Top Chef fans, so went to eat Chef Cesar’s offering. The location is perfect, but see if you can get seated in the front room. Started with tasty cocktails and the amuse bouche, which was playful. It’s a tasting menu, so know that going in. You will get plenty to eat IMO. First course was a tuna crudo with beets and aguachile, delicious. Second was a mushroom soup. The soup was very good, maybe a few too many crunchy bits. Third was a pasta course, which I would love the recipe. We got the foie gras extra course, well worth it. My SO had the fish and I had the beef for our mains. Both were very good. The deserts were also very good. There is an option for a cheese board, which we didn’t partake. Each course is thoughtfully presented and beautiful. Service was fantastic, huge shout out to Liz, she was fun and quick with a rec, if needed. The whole staff were attentive. The building is an old warming shelter from 100 years ago, but the interior pays homage to Wright and the Prairie School. Worth the trip, all around.

   Possibly our finest dining experience in our 50 years together. The location, the building, the decor, the service and the food all were wonderful.

   North Pond is a Chicago gem not to be missed. Excellence in execution and technique. Genuine warmth of hospitality. Elegant and cozy atmosphere. Singular view.

   Had a delcious 3 course brunch. The room is lovely and very unique. Service was excellent and the food amazing! We want to go back.
