NORTH ArcadiaHold the salt!Had a nice pre-Father's Day dinner here. The food was delicious, but a little on the salty side. Had a salad and halibut - both could've used way less salt! Great menu and service, not crazy about the ambience or "feel". It was quite warm in the restaurant (granted, it was 106 outside!), the noise level was beyond my preference for a Saturday night and there were quite a few young children. It's a great location for a few drinks, lunch or dinner. The space is lovely, and the service was really above-and-beyond, including the hostesses, who went out of their way to make us comfortable while we were waiting for our table. Service was great- we had a slight miscommunication on our order & management took care of it promptly (some items sound alike). We were allowed to enjoy the mistake, while waiting for the other entree which was nice and of course comped without it even being an issue or mentioned. Two pizza's - one called the pig for meat lovers and the other was more of a vegetarian - a white pizza with onions/mushrooms that was great - would be even better if the topped it off with some fresh arugala. Service was very good - overall was very impressed and liked it more than the Kierland one. Would definitely return.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect place for a mellow dateLike most Fox restaurants, North Arcadia is a beautifully designed restaurant with a modern / fusion approach to its menu. The layout / lighting of the open restaurant lends itself well for a mellow date night or even a special occasion - and the noise level never seems to be high enough to hinder a normal conversation. The appetizer's are great as are the "main's" that I've tried - not a huge flatbread / pizza fan so I'll recuse myself from touching on that part of the menu - however, the Salted Caramel Pudding is a MUST.

For example, white - complete with upscale mark-ups - is served in water glasses. The pasta dishes are amazing. They are the reason to eat here: skip the traditional entrees. We asked questions of the menu and she was extremely honest and helpful!! The apps were the meatballs and the melted cheese (forgot the name). Meatballs had lots of flavor and the sauce was light and yet lots of flavor. We each had a different dish - our favorite was the braised short rib gnocchi, tortellini was also fantastic! Bolognese - also wonderful and the pork tenderloin a home run!! We were too full to try any desserts - although they also looked wonderful. We will definitely be back.
