  • "I found North 26 extremely loud. All the tables in the front of the house were occupied while lovely and much more quiet tables in the back behind the bar were left unoccupied. I regret not asking for a table in the back. Food was just o.k. My corned beef hash was excellent, home-made, but the egg on top was overcooked and sparse to say the least. There were supposed to be cherry tomatoes and there was just one-half of a tomato on the plate! Other diners meals looked better, mine was really a disappointment. Bloody Mary was weak. I won't go back nor would I recommend it. "

  • "It seemed that our server was new; we waited at our table for close to 15 minutes without anyone approaching us. Finally, when she did come around, she seemed very tense and often fumbled over our things on the table but was still pleasant. As for the food, the Bloody Mary's were phenomenal and I also really recommend the Eggs Benedict, the muffins were light and fluffy. "

  • "The location was very convenient off the highway, close to major attractions. I was there to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. The ambiance was amazing, as it is truly quiet and romantic. The service was exceptionally over the top. The only issue was with the food. My wife went with the lamb shank and I chose the seafood pasta. At $34 each, the portions was surprisingly small. The Seafood pasta had one large scallop, two medium sized shrimps and the smallest pieces of lobster I have ever come across in a meal. I would not recommend to anyone. The mainland salad saved my experience."

  • "I booked a reservation here on a whim. At the time I didn't realize it was a hotel restaurant. I tend to shy away from those because of past experiences of overpriced, average food. I kept the reservation because of the location and the menu looked reasonably priced, and interesting. Everything we had was wonderful. I had the salmon, 2 of us had the braised short ribs and 1 had the pork chop. We were all really happy with our meals. We all had the clam chowder to start which was really good. The broth was neither too thick or too thin, just right. The service was friendly, attentive and made it an overall great experience. The view of Faneuil Hall, across the street was a bonus. I would eat here again."

Service was abrupt, the guy consistently mixed up mine and my girlfriend's orders, and the food was mediocre at very best. If you stay at the hotel, don't waste your money there, check out any of the other places in the city."

  • "Lovely looking restaurant. We were there Christmas evening. The food was reasonable, but when my husband asked if they had herbal tea, he was told yes, then brought black tea. He brought this to the attention of the waitress who said she would bring green tea. Turns out they didn't have herbal tea. When we paid at the end of the meal the waitress said their system was down and photocopied my credit card. Then hand wrote me a receipt when I requested one."

  • "My wife had the lobster bisque and the haddock. Both were exceptional, and quite filling considering what they were on the menu. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with pesto on the brioche roll and a salad. The cranberries which normally I wouldn't like were obviously local and quite good in the salad. The pesto was just as it should be for any great italian restaurant. Considering this was part of a hotel, I was quite happy to be able to make reservations at the last second. And even though it was 6:45PM, we were seated at 6:30 without questions asked and food was served reasonably fast, so I didn't suffer from heartburn either. And I'm not particularly fond of lobster, and yet even I liked the lobster bisque. Definitely worth a return!"

  • "I think service is about the only thing that distinguishes this place. Food is okay, but not that great, It has a relatively good ambience and the noise level is not that bad. In general it is fine, but I think it is grossly overpriced though for what it offers, which is why I probably won't go back."

  • "My wife and I dined here while we stayed over at the Millennium hotel for the Pink concert at the TD Garden. It was a Thursday night and we had an early dinner before the show. The restaurant was almost empty, so our experience may not apply to peak dining periods. It was an enjoyable dinner with good food and very attentive service. The wine list was very limited but the bottle we selected was good. The price was quite reasonable for a downtown Boston restaurant overlooking Quincy Market, the total with appetizers, wine, port for dessert, and tip came to $200. The area where we were sitting overlooks Quincy Market, which was decorated for the holidays. After the show we stopped back at the bar for a nightcap and that was also enjoyable."

  • "Not worth the menu prices. Our waitress was the only saving grace to the evening! Even though she was very busy, she was very attentive to our table and offered many apologies for the epically slow bartenders. We ordered our drinks when we first arrived and they didn't show up for 20 minutes! Our appetizers were almost completely eaten by the time our drinks arrived. We had the mussel appetizer and the lobster bisque which were actually pretty good. Our entrees, not so much. My duck was totally overcooked with barely steamed brussel sprouts and unseasoned rice. I might return for some appetizers, but that's about it."

  • "This was a lovely spot with excellent food, ambiance, and a pretty view of the Faneuil Hall area. The only downside: the service went a bit downhill as the night went on. It took over 12 minutes to get a second drink (and it wasn't very busy) and they were a bit slow on refilling our waters. So, for dessert, we had neither a drink nor a glass a water to wash it down. Nevertheless, I'd still recommend it to a friend!"

  • "We dined at North 26 recently but have to say it was not outstanding. It was just OK. One of us had a pork dish and one had a scallop + squash ravioli dish. The pork was well cooked but not memorable with mashed potatoes and squash on the side. It felt like something I could have cooked at home on my grill. The scallops were well prepared but the overall flavors didn't pop. The base "sauce" was a bit greasy/oily and somewhat bland and the raviolli was also somewhat flavorless. The chowder we had as a starter was also good but not great. Overall we had an OK meal but nothing to rave about. There is certainly much better in Boston to try."

  • "Not many places in the city can say they do lamb right but North 26 can. The portion size are more than what you pay for so you immediately are satisfied. The drink menu is just delicious.   • "Don't underestimate this place just because it's in a hotel. The food is top notch and, because they draw the crowd from the Millennium Hotel to the bar, they have a fantastic bartender. Also, don't miss dessert. High quality food and extremely good service make this a bit of a secret even though it's right across the street from Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market."

  • "When we dined here on a recent Saturday night, I was surprised more people weren't there. Maybe it's because it's in a hotel. The food is fabulous - lots of fresh ingredients. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is nice, too. The only downside is that it is somewhat expensive."
