"Excellent food; fun ambiance and good service. The acoustics inside the dining area were poor so the combination of the music being turned up a bit too loudly, the doors being open(it was a nice day out)so hearingthe ambient street noise, then combined with the chatter from the other diners, it was VERY hard to carry on a conversation.

It's busy on the weekend so if you can get there during the week day, that might be the best option until the crowds settle down."

"Our waitress was inattentive...never told us what entrees they were out of and slow in taking our orders. Staff in general seemed amateurish for a restaurant of this caliber. Noise level downstairs is so loud that you can't talk with your guests and upstairs is quieter and serene, yet lacking in abiance."

"not as great as the last couple of times we went. Beef which I had was on the dry and over-cooked side. Husbands pork was more of the same. Service was very good. Every restaurant has its off day. Being local I would go again."

"We went to North to celebrate a milestone anniversary on a weekday evening. When we arrived, we were told that we would have a wait because the diners at the table reserved for us were only up to their entree---although there were other vacant tables. There was no comfortable place to stand and the bar was too crowded to sit down for a drink. We were asked if we wanted to wait outside in the street (which is a parking lot). Extremely noisy and not the right place for a special dinner even after we were finally seated. Three staff were at the hostess station and no one seemed to know who was on first. Food was very good. The ambiance and service ruined the experience and turned out to be a big disappointment."

"This was our first visit to North. We went for a very special occasion, and the staff treated us beautifully, and really added a lovely dimension to our experience. The chef is very thoughtful and creative in his use of local ingredients, which is very important to us, (though there is a tendency to over-salt). We will definitely return."
