Voted "Best Breakfast" on Citysearch.com! There is no need to be "A Morning Person" to enjoy what many call the "BEST" most "INTERESTING" Breakfast in Town, served until 3PM at this "ATTRACTIVE" Hotel. Midtowner, die-hard sleep-in say, "it should be open later."

  • "My friend, who's visiting from Toronto, had the Nutella Packed Jacks and I had the Norma's Eggs Benedict. They were both absolutely fantastic. The pineapple and raspberries on the Nutella Packed Jacks went incredibly well with the Nutella and the portion sizes were great (definitely didn't skimp on the Nutella!). Our server was very helpful and friendly. The service was fast but we didn't feel like we were being rushed although we did leave quickly after we were done. Went on a Saturday around 11am and left within an hour. Definitely a good place to bring people visiting the city who want to pack in as much to do."

  • "Good service is difficult to find in New York City, so I have to commend the waiters who take their time to provide such service. Our waiter was a gem - efficient, friendly, and extremely helpful with the menu. The food was to die for. I love sweets, so I was in heaven. This is a great brunch spot and the portions are huge, so be prepared to share. My two friends and I got three plates and shared everything. We got the chicken quesadilla, chicken and cheese omlet, and the blueberry pancakes (they have nicer names but I don't recall the exact names right now). I've also had the crunchy french toast here as well (my personal favorite). All of the food was delicious and I will definitely be back to try more of the menu."

  • "My bill came to as much as my seafood dinner the night before $115!!! That is insane for breakfast. The food was great, especially the pancakes but I was just shocked how high the prices were! I have been there before and i swear prices went up. It takes a lot to shock a real New Yorker!"

  • "Norma's is on my must do list every time I visit the Big Apple. The menu is filled with tempting choices and I have never been disappointed. This trip was light lemon griddle cakes with a side of bacon large enough for me and my three guests. Don't miss the fresh squeezed orange juice. Ask for Bob to wait on you. You'll come back for many more memorable meals. Be sure to reserve ahead of time."

  • "Brought a friend to have Sunday brunch. I told her i was taking her to someplace special. She was very delighted and impressed by my choice. The meal was a wonderful dining experience. Love the fruit smoothie to start. We were a bit to close to other dinners since it was only the 2 of us and the noise level was a bit high but the overall experience was great"

  • "We came here for the first time 2 years ago and it was great then. We were looking forward to returning and it did not disappoint. Be aware of huge portions."

  • "The food was really good and the service outstanding. One of the best restaurants for breakfast. It is expensive but worth it."

  • "Pros: - complementary smoothie shot (yum!) - generous portion size - accommodated a reservation switch - my food order was delayed and overcompensated by offering a full-size smoothie and fruit plate while I waited - french-pressed coffee Cons: - ambiance/decor could be spruced up; it didn't give the food justice/ didn't match the hotel decor. The Eggs Benny was like air- so light and fluffy. I didn't realize how much I actually ate until it was time to get up!"

  • "If you love big, hearty breakfasts (and I mean BIG) with the freshest ingredients, and you don't mind paying a bit extra (ok, a lot extra) for size and quality, then Norma's is for you! Their pancakes and french toast are bigger than my head, and their side of berries is enough for everyone at the table. Add to it real maple syrup ad you've got breakfast and lunch rolled into one. I've never tried their omelets, but have seen these works of art go by on large plates. This is serious food, folks. I never knew breakfast could be this delicious (and expensive, but worth it!). There will be no need for lunch after eating breakfast at Norma's. You'll even want to plan a later (light) dinner. The portions are huge! Best breakfast in NYC!"

  • "I've been going to Norma's for special occasions on and off for years. The food is not as special as it once was. I had the artichoke benny, the eggs weren't cooked right the first time, and the dish just felt average."

  • "It will take you time to choose your items as each dish sounds better than the next. We the egg, bacon and cheese quesadilla and the banana hazelnut flapjacks. Those were two of the less imaginative dishes. You can find lobster, foie gras and caviar on your eggs! The food was served piping hot and both dishes were delicious. Our special treat for the morning was sitting at the table next to the owner of the hotel/restaurant, Mrs. Parker. She and some lady friends were enjoying some fresh baked cookies. We asked if they were on the menu and our kind waiter said no, they are for just one customer at brunch. We struck up a conversation with Parker and she shared the fantastic cookies with us. An unforgettable and delicious NYC moment and meal."

  • "Had the Crunch French Toast with warm carmel sauce - was best I ever ate. Huge portion too. Wife had Lox & Lox and Bagel with cavier - the lox was piled very high and the restaurant was great about giving her a bagel instead of the standard bagel chips. Unlimited freshly squeezed OJ made the OJ a must order. Location is off the Hotel lobby but there is not any view to speak of, so you would only go there for the food. Was expensive (well, maybe not for Manhattan) but was a worthwhile experience! Service was top notch."

  • "My son woke up and said he wanted waffles! I used an app and was directed to Norma's. Having never been to the place, it is in the Meridien hotel. After finding this breakfast gem, the hostess couldn't find my reservation. It seems that when I used opentable to book the reservation, I hit the wrong day. The hostess explained it happens all the time. We waited 10 mins and we were seated! The portions are huge! Fresh Orange juice and strong coffee. A bit pricey, but I think if you know that going in, you won't faint when they drop the check. Service was attentive and courteous. If I have a complaint, it would be that maybe they can wipe the tables down a little better. Some gunk was on the flower vase and the S&P shakers. Minor issue."

  • "Super menu. I like the section of creative ideas entitled "Your Mom Can't Make This". I love my mom, but they are right. We changed plans on our trip to go back three times in one week. So much for the yoga and work outs they recommend before eating there!"

  • "Every time I come into the city I make sure I have breakfast at Norma's. I have never had a bad meal and the cappuccino is to die for. This visit was very special. I brought my girlfriend from California here who has never been there and she just loved it . We had a waiter that was wonderful named Bob and I definitely will ask for him every time I return."

  • "When we travel, we like to eat well and Norma's was THE PLACE! Great food and big portions so plan accordingly. Not cheap by any means but this is New York and it's nice to get what you pay for. The cheesy french toast was exactly that, like nothing I ever ate before. My family of 3 grown kids shared their plates and we feasted. Creative and very tasty menu. Why settle for 2 eggs and sausage when you can make the meal a destination to remember. It's not as if you can eat cheaply in mid town, even for a basic breakfast."

  • "This was my first trip here and was well worth the taxi ride. It was a great way to spend brunch prior to seeing a Broadway Show. Staff at Norma's and the Le Parker Meridian were top notch accommodating and friendly."

  • "Perfect every time. I take clients, friends, family, basically anyone who will go with me. I've also gone myself with a book on several occasions. Convenient central midtown location. Great morning energy, awesome menu, and the fresh fruit ring is so pretty, it doubles as a centerpiece until it's gone."

  • "Serving sizes are massive! I should have asked if orders could be split. Dishes are creative and eye pleasing. Good taste combinations. My crunchy French toast was delicious, but better with maple syrup (which is offered) than with the caramel. Banana macadamia nut flapjacks just too too rich. Ask for the whipped topping to be served on the side. The eggs Benedict would have been a better choice. Metal furniture and soaring ceiling make the chatter and clatter very noisy. In spite of all these truths, I keep going back when in NYC. There is nowhere else like Norma's."

  • "My omelette was so stuffed with bacon it was more like chopped bacon wrapped in a layer of egg. Not enjoyable. Toast was cold and coffee not particularly hot. About 100 dollars after tip for a party of two. Simply put, not that good."

  • "I went back for a second visit post a first disappointing experience - second time round even worse : the hostess again was miserable , just won't greet guests with a smile, looks harried and makes you feel like she's doing you the biggest favor ; the service is just non existent - waiters also look very rushed and not particularly pleased to be there; I watched other tables on both occasions getting quite irate over the same issue - but no one seems to care."

  • "this was my third time back at norms and i usually do love their food there. it is not a cheap brunch, but i do think that their portions do make up for their prices except for their breakfast dumplings. i was handed a bamboo bowl with about 6 dumplings and that was $25. i thought it was a joke. i could not believe they seriously charged me $25 for these stupid dumplings. there was no side dish no toast - NOTHING. i will prob not be back to norms due to this ridiculous rip off of a meal. thanks for the 6 mediocre dumplings."

  • "I watched the table next to me being bused and decided to never return to Norma's. Prior diner had oatmeal, so she only used her spoon. Busboy left the rest of the silverware at the place setting and replaced the spoon! Made a poor attempt to clean around the remaining silverware. Food may be great, but basic hygiene has to be attended to for any restaurant to be on my recommended list. Norma's needs some remedial work."

  • "I have been a customer at Norma's for years. The past two visits, I have noticed a slip in the quality of service. Servers seem more focused on cleaning up and leaving for the day than in making sure the customer has a good experience. It was extreme enough for me to consider not returning, as we felt very taken for granted. On our last visit: - We waited 15 minutes for our table to be available, despite having reservation. - Water was not offered upon arrival, we had to ask for it. - Greeting was overlooked, just "Are you ready to order?" - Nobody checked on us to ask how our food was, and we had to work hard to flag somebody down to get what we needed - Check dropped while we were eating our main courses, no "Anything else?" asked."

  • "We had brunch there prior to going to a Sun matinee. The four of us all ordered something different and each one of our choices was better than the other. Considering how busy they were service was wonderful. The food all arrived together and what should have been hot was served hot. It is well worth it to visit this restaurant."

  • "For as busy as this place was, our waiter was very good. He was swamped but still managed to come by and ask how everything was and if we needed anything else. There were many items we wanted to try but at these prices, we each had one dish. We both had egg dishes and they did not disappoint. Hands down the best eggs we've ever had. Neither of us could finish our meals either as it was too much food. Looking around at what other people ordered there were some very intriguing dishes that I would love to try in the future. The only negative aside from the high prices is that my wife said the coffee wasn't very good."
