David was our server and he went above to accommodate our requests. The whole family had a great time, my son felt comfortable even though it's a more upscale and quiet setting and we were happy with the kids meal choices. "

  • "Very lovely restaurant, elegant, five star service and everyone had a good meal unfortunately, they missed on my entree. I ordered pan seared grouper and it was over-cooked, dry and smelled very fishy. For the first time in my life, I sent it back and they brought me a different fish entree and it was very good. They comped my entree so all in all they handled it very well. Nobody's perfect but they recovered quite nicely. The wine we had was one of our favorites, the wine list was quite extensive with a broad range of prices."

  • "We went to Normans as a special date night to celebrate my birthday. What an amazing experience. The food was delicious, amazing combinations of flavours, portion size was just right. The service from hostess to server, Jessica, was exceptional and we had a great time and very well looked after. Pork belly, grouper, fried tomatoes and venison were our choices and finished off with strawberry and rhubarb pavlova! Great night and huge thank you to the Norman's team."

  • "Not worth the price of admission. Having dined at many great restaurants, I don't hold them to any kind of standard, each experience is unique. Norman's started out nice as the complimentary valet took my car & we entered the hotel and walked to the restaurant. We were greeted & seated immediately. The service staff worked well together and all our needs were met all night long (service was as good as any restaurant I've been) As the food arrived I'd say everything was between fair and good (some bordering on great such as our empanadas appetizer) But when you drop 2 c notes on dinner for 2 I would expect everything to be good & some things to be memorable which wasn't the case. The food was cooked perfectly and extremely good cuts of meat"

  • "We picked Norman's based on the menu concept and didn't read much about it. We were so surprised with the level of care and service, as with Frank our waiter. We chose to build our own tasting menu. The wine pairing was perfect,everyone was spot on for everything. The Fish, pork, Ceviche and dessert were amazing. We have essentially nothing bad to say about this place. I have been to many Ritz Carlton in the past, and this instillation of a restaurant decimates every other property I have dined at. Technically this is not affiliated with the hotel, but they elevate the quality of the hotel just by being there."

  • "Dinner at Norman's is beyond any resonable expectation. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and still fun. The menu is unique, with Norman's creative touch seen in every dish - each of which is perfectly executed. Our favorites were the Pork Havana, steak tartare and conch chowder - all unique renditions and splendid. You simply cannot find a better dining experience in Orlando. And you must try the White Cloud cocktail - knocks it out of the park."

  • "Came for mom's birthday & enjoyed the dining experience. Service who was lead by Fernando O was impeccable. Fernando did an excellent job in paying attention to details & providing info on the food & recommendations. had tapas: fried green tomatoes, crevice shrimp, oyster; dinner: sea bass, venison; dessert: banana foster, island cake all were so good. Will definitely come back when in Orlando. Mom had a very memorable birthday meal with the terrific service good did food."

  • "I had a wonderful experience eating here during my brief trip to Orlando. My party & I had been looking for a fine dining experience & were not disappointed with Norman's. I would recommend every single dish we each had (but especially the pork belly tapas, foie gras french toast, and chicken mofongo stuffed with foie gras). Their selection of wines is impressive as well; our waiter informed us that most if not all of the floor waiters have sommelier training, and we tasted first-hand how well his recommendations paired with our meal. Overall a great experience, and we will definitely return the next time we're in town!"

  • "We arrived for 9:00 and were asked by the host to wait while she took phone pictures for another couple. Once seated the table was extremely wobbly. No big deal that was addressed once we mentioned it. Ordered two drinks and wine with dinner. My wife never received her drink we had to ask for it. When the wine was brought over only one glass accompanied it. I had to ask for the second glass. The appetizers came out fairly quickly however the main course took some time. The wait staff seem overwhelmed so that may have been the reason for some of the missteps. The server in particular however was not the friendliest. Maybe she was having a bad day. We weren't until now Don't want to get anyone in trouble just thought you would want to know."

  • "We just dined for my son's 21st bday, six of us, and Paul provided exceptional service while Chef Norman Van Aken prepared an unbelievable tailored tasting menu for us clearly showing off fine ingredients prepared to perfection. From the personalized menu--literally said my son's name and Happy Birthday, to the extensive wine list, knowledgeable staff, and the delightful amuse-bouche to kick off our several hour display of creative Latin, Caribbean, Asian, and African flavors that danced in our mouths. Paul also paired select wines beautifully. We are foodies from the Washington DC area and found the attention to detail and the value outstanding. We were all treated like kings/queens and I can't wait to go back--special occasion or not!"

  • "From arriving early and waiting at the bar to the last of dessert, exactly what fine dining should be. Warm seamless service (I never even noticed when the water glasses were refilled), beautiful room, outstanding food. We were a group of five and each had appetizers, main course, dessert, wine. We asked our wait person to pick the wine and his choice was excellent. More surprising he picked something reasonably priced, not sticker shock. Presentation of the food matches the quality, outstanding. The staff are genuinely warm and happy to see guests enjoy themselves. A restaurant run this well becomes the backdrop for guests to enjoy themselves, exactly what you get at great restaurants in Europe. Overall, wonderful."

  • "Norman's is exactly what you expect from the Ritz Carlton. Intimate, dim-lit, full of classic elegance. We made the mistake of blindly following the sommelier and not asking what his recommendation cost. 2 bottles later, our bar bill was over 300 dollars. My fault, not his. That aside, the prices are reasonable - expensive, but reasonable. The foie gras French toast was not good. The foie and the toast were so similar in texture it was hard to identify where one ended and the other began. Even foie lovers should pass on this one. Oysters on the half shell were perfect. Small, sweet, luxurious. The chimichurri steak was also perfect. Perfectly cooked and perfectly balanced seasoning. Snapper was excellent. I would definitely go back."

  • "Exceptional service and high quality food - almost NY or SF but not quite. Noise level is a little high but not so much you cannot have table conversation. Advise jackets for men and nice slacks or dress for women. Great setting for a business dinner. A little too noisy for romance. Good wine list and they don't try to push you to the higher priced wine, which is a nice plus. You can get a killer bottle of red below $70. All in all, a great experience. Did I say the service is FIRST CLASS, representative of a much more expensive restaurant. Not 5 star but definitely 4 Star. Oh, do not take children under the age of 10."

Norman's lived up to our expectations and even went beyond in the wine dept. since my husband ordered a case of the wine he enjoyed so much. My husband's yellowfin snapper was wonderful and my appetizer empanadas were terrific. Don't miss this place--it is special."

  • "Food was amazing, we chose from a set Valentines Day menu, every course was better than the previous! The wait staff and food service was excellent, only hiccup was a semi-rude hostess. The wine selection was definetly for advanced wine aficionados, which is a good thing, but the bar in the restaurant was so small we had to goto the lobby bar while we waited for our table. Overall I can't wait for the opportunity to dine here in the future."

  • "We used to be regular diner's at Normans, but due to other restaurants opening up in the area, we had not been back in some time. We decided to go back for our NYE dinner this year. We were surprised by the inconsistent nature of the menu. One dish would be wonderful and the next dish felt uninspired. When you are charging a premium over your normal experience, the guest expects more from the kitchen. The increased price wasn't justified by what was served on the plate."
