  • "Has always been a winner for Sunday brunch and has not lost any of its delights over the years"
    Dined on 7/6/2014
  • "Have been going to Normandie Farm for the last 16 years on my anniversary or wife's birthday! She loves the popovers which are large and freshly baked! I had the prime rib. It was very good. Can't say the same for the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail! The shrimp were actually tough...a new experience for me! The wife had the usual beef dish which was excellent as usual. The wait staff was very friendly...when they showed up. Although the restaurant was not crowded at all on a Tuesday night, I had to wait several minutes to get my waitresses attention several times! I have noticed the prices have risen a lot over the years which is why we only come here for special occasions!"

  • "This restaurant is one of the best in general, has been so for over 50 years. I moved farther away from it and forgot about it for ten years or so but when my sister came into town for a visit we were looking for a place for brunch and remembered it. She was very impressed with the service but especially the food. The brunch is one of the best ever and is a breakfast, lunch or dinner type, highly recommended!! Also, it had not changed one bit in the ten year span, pretty amazing in these days of restaurant failures. It is back on my radar now!"

  • "I had brunch at Normandie Farm on Sunday June 22nd. I had a reservation via open table. When I arrived I stood in the entry way waiting for someone to come over and greet us and take us to our table. When the manager arrived he did not apologize for making us wait. He simply said oh I was taking care of something. It wasn’t the most positive start to our brunch. I do love going to Normandie Farm so I was a little surprised by the lack of care for having customers waiting."

  • "The entries (Lobster and halibut) were too cooked. Also we had to ask twice for bread. Finally when we asked for a knife the waiter took it on another table and "threw" it on our table."

  • "The food there has always been good and the service is excellent. The mashed sweet potatoes were good, if you enjoy a good sweet potato, and the soups were very good. The beef Wellington is a regular with my friends. Normandie Farms has been a landmark my entire life, and has not changed much since I was a kid."

  • "The only thing "special" about the Father's Day brunch was the over inflated price. There was no omelets made to order instead you had a choice of 2 pre set omelets. This restaurant is no longer something special and is looking quite worn. Our waiter was not attentive. We had to ask for items several times. We asked for a refill of coffee and water and despite the carafes sitting on the bar a few feet away, it took 15 minutes. The next go round, we just helped ourselves. They upped the price for Father's Day and warehoused the guests. We will not return."

  • "They did a pretty good job keeping the buffet filled but $45 + tax & Tip per person - really? For "buffet food"????? Definitely not up to this foodies standards. Typical buffet items - beef stroganoff, coq au vin, something marsala - all the meats were overcooked / dry but Sauces had good flavor. Eggs Benedict were only slightly over cooked & yummy. I wouldn't mind the price if the food was better."

  • "the food was fair. the porkchop was dry, the duck was tough. we had to send back the steak because it was overcooked."

  • "Normandie Farm has a wonderful Sunday Brunch. They also walk around serving piping hot pop-overs which are wonderful. The pate mouse was the Best !!"

  • "If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would done so. I had great expectations. I took my family here for breakfast because it has such great reviews. I had a bad feeling since the moment I stepped in. The place was huge but it was completely empty! The server was very polite and attentive...well, of course, we were the only ones. I am not sure who wrote the other reviews, but they definitely have VERY LOW expectations! Food was less than mediocre. My pancakes tasted exactly like a pancake mix. None of the food we ordered had flavor. Popovers? Those were burned and with zero flavor. I ordered french toast for my daughter, which were soggy and flavorless. I am not sure how they can afford to keep this restaurant open!"

  • "Normandie Farm's table was good, not great. I was underwhelmed by the food and the selection. It was solid, delicious, and traditional; no surprises either pleasant or unpleasant here. The wine list is superb and the table service is really attentive, professional and fantastic. The ambience will please the grannies. Price was reasonable for the amount and quality of the food, $170 for four entrees, four salads/soups (a la carte, of course, which always makes me feel a little nickel-and-dimed no matter the calibre of the restaurant), two appetizers and the puff pastries for which they are known."

  • "If the food and service are superb, I always make a note of it on my bill. In this case I wrote, "Great food, Great Service!" And I never say it if it isn't true. Managers and owners need to hear it when the kitchen staff and waiters (male and female) impress customers. The ambiance, however, was so-so, but not bad. And it would be a mistake to try to remodel your restaurant, because customers, while they may like improvements, tend to dislike new menus with new prices. By the way, one thing I'd love to see on your menu is onion rings. "

  • "Always look forward to a Normandie Farm Sunday brunch! A great selection on the buffet line. Food is pretty good for a buffet. (No matter where you go, it can never be quite the same as ordering individually). It is never too noisy, even when there are large groups present, which is most of the time. There is a large staff of waiters & bussers so if you need coffee, another popover or whatever, they are on the spot. The drive out there is pleasant, there's plenty of parking, and it retains a very "out in the country" vibe inside & out, which is a nice change from the overdevelopment in closer-in suburbs."

  • "Appetizers were fabulous, paricularly the scallops. Soft crab entre was quite good. However, the duck confit, rather than being succulent, was dry and tough. Next time I would opt for the regular duck entree instead. Birthday desset was a Truly decadent chocolate cake...great!"

  • "This was our fourth trip to Normandie Farm - twice for lunch and our second time for dinner. We spent some time in France this year and really enjoyed the lamb that so wanted to try the entrée here. There were two lamb selections and I convinced my boyfriend to order the Roast Rack of Lamb. Of all the lamb we had in Europe, this was by the far the absolute best! It was very tender and a great flavor and the garlic au jus was amazing. It was "carved tableside" which they really should play that whole thing up more as it was somewhat uneventful in the presentation, but the flavor certainly made up for it. I had the soft shelled crabs which were also good, but the Lamb was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant. "

  • "Topnotch service for a group of 9, & excellent food with many choices. Pasta, meat (prime rib) & seafood dishes all equally good. "

  • "Normandie Farm was the perfect setting to meet with friends whom we had not seen for quite some time. The ambiance and attentive service made for a relaxed evening during which we could catch up with each others' lives. The food was very good and, of course, the popovers were a special treat as always."

  • "The food and service are good but not really special. Nice seafood menu. We were seated in the bar area since there was a wedding dinner in the main dinning room. The bar is very bland with no ambiance. If you make a reservation be sure that you will be seated in the main dinning room. I would return to the restaurant but would not rush back since there are far too many other options in the area."

  • "Normandie farms in bluebell pa one word awesome! Some how my reservation got messed up and they managed to not only go out of there way to seat a party of 7 just kept checking on us to make sure we where happy with everything. And we where. Food amazing a great variety. And even had thing for children . Beautiful grounds for picture taking. Just a 5 star place! If you love buffet brunches you will love it here!! Very up scale!! They gave me a flower to for Mother's Day 👍 I will recommend this place!!!"

  • "Mother's day brunch was disappointing. Price was higher than normal brunch, but no omelette station, restaurant packed to the gills, and poor service. Difficult to get water, coffee, and check in a timely manner."

  • "Our family attended Normande's annual Mither's Day buffet and enjoyed our time there. Their popovers are fantastic, the appetizer, salad and desert tables offered fantastic selections. The entree table meeds some work. The lamb was cold, the Mac and cheese disappointing and the rest good but not up to customary standards with the exception of the carved meats which were as expected. "

  • "We discovered NF for Christmas dinner 2012 while visiting the DC area - since we have moved here we did it again in 2013 and now Mothers Day 2014. The buffet style is perfect for us as we have teenage kids who are very different in their likes and they find more than something every time we have eaten here. Reservations are a must as it is very popular and when we arrived we were seated within 5 min of our time. Table staff was very attentive for drinks and removing plates so we could go back to the food tables when we wanted. You have to love a brunch that had caviar and waffles."

  • "Plenty of blah food. Not worth the cost on Mothers Day"
    Dined on 5/11/2014
  • "I hadn't been to Normandie Farm for years and decided to give it a try for my family for Mother's Day. I checked the menu online, and it looked good. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, we learned that on holidays, dining is buffet style, and the regular menu is unavailable. Unfortunately, while there was a modest (but not insignificant) selection of dishes, the quality and taste of the food was uniformly mediocre. Not a single item was good enough to warrant returning. And the buffet was pricey ($52 per person), particularly given the lack of quality of the cuisine."

  • "We celebrated our daughter's college graduation. All 12 in our party were impressed that we were seated at a single round table, so conversation was easy. We have only compliments for our experience in all categories. We had never been to Normandie Farms, although it was recommended by friends. We took a bit of a gamble booking it for a special occasion, but the gamble paid off. Everyone was happy with the meal and the experience. "

  • "The selection and quality of food was excellent. Every type of food one would expect to find at a quality brunch including clams and oysters was there. The staff was very attentive and professional. We have been here several times in the past, typically with a small group to celebrate an occasion or just a gathering of friends. All our visits have been wonderful. This time, we were celebrating a birthday and had ordered flowers from the recommended florist to be on the table when the party arrived. Sure enough the flower arrangement was there and provided a welcomed surprise for the birthday celebrant. All in all, a great meal with family that will be remembered fondly for many years."

  • "Our reservation was at 3p and when we arrived at 3, we were told it would be a 10 minute wait. When asked how much longer (we had a 1 year old and 3 year old with us) the hostess told is that there was one party to be seated in front if us. Okay, after 3 parties were seated I asked again and was told the same thing - one pArty ahead of us... Again we watched 2 more parties get seated. When I asked for an explanation or just asked why she couldn't have told us it would be nearly 3:50 before we would be seated for our 3p reservation (way beyond 10 min as she stated when we walked in) she was very snarky /defensive and told us that what she told us about wait times wasn't up to her - ?? Not very professional. "

  • " The number of options at the buffet was outstanding. There was a wide variety of foods to please all palates .Overall , the food was delicious. I gave the food four stars because a number of the hot dishes were just plain cold. ( the macaroni and cheese and the veal marsala come to mind ) I would give them five stars , however , on the taste , the variety , and the creativity of the dishes. For a buffet, the service was excellent. Our servers , Tony and Hussein, stopped by frequently to see if we needed anything and to fill our glasses - even cheerfully bringing jam for my husband's popover. Overall, it was a lovely dinner."

  • "I have had several events at Normandie Farm and I was very disappointed with their Easter Brunch. The food was tasteless, the waiter was sweaty and rushed and I wish I could get my money back and go someplace else!! VERY OVER PRICED FOR THE QUALITY OF FOOD!! "

  • "We always enjoy the holiday brunches. This time around I was particularly grateful for the hostess who went out of her way to seat us at a table on the main floor to accommodate my elderly aunt who has trouble with steps."

  • "I have been here before and the popovers are one of the reason. This time we got a bad popover, crusty and not delicious. On the second round of popovers were back to their proper standards but still a little disappointing. The ambiance is nice as there is so much history associated with the place. They need to bring the service level back up to match the charm of the building and the restaurants history. The service was sporadic and seemed rushed."
