  • "Lovely dinner, food, atmosphere and cost all great !,"

  • "This is a pleasant locale for a family to enjoy a hardy brunch with a considerable variety of salads, entrees and desserts.you must try the cinnamon scone; you'll not stop at just one. James removed the empty plates very quickly and was otherwise a good server."

  • "Normandie Farm is a historic restaurant started in 1932 and retains its rustic and historic ambience while managing to remain current and exciting. The kitchen has always been famous for the freshness of its ingredients and the skill of its chefs, and that is still true. My wife and I have dined here several times, and it was the restaurant of her choice for our anniversary. We have orderd six different dishes to date and each one was a textbook example of what each one should be. Our favorites include duck in blood orange sauce, beef tips in sauce bordelaise, and seared sea scallops. A full lunch for two with a good shiraz runs about $75."

  • "We enjoyed the sunday brunch, celebrating two 70th Birthdays. We requested seating in the main room for 11:30am; we arrived early and were seated right away - the host and hostess were very pleasant and helpful. Water, coffee, and popovers were served right away which was nice. The abundance of food and choices is amazing. Our table loved the oyster raw bar ...shrimp would have been nice., but salmon and caviar are offered. Omlets were eaten by a few and were very good...my husband took a plate of oysters for his omlet. The hot food can sometimes be soggy, like the crepes. The dessert bar is wonderful, and the waiter brought us two delicious chocolate desserts with candles for our Birthdays which was a great surprise, and much appreciated."

  • "Normandie Farms has been an annual choice to celebrate my mother's birthday for over 20 year. We still come even though she passed on 8 years ago. Over the last two years, the quality has seemed to slip. On on last visit on Saturday night, March 29, the service was both rude and poor. The food was 1.5 stars at best. I hope by our next vist both food and service are returned to the higher quality we expect from this restaurant."

  • "Food was fine. Unfortunately, we picked a night when a large wedding was being held which sapped the staff. We had to change tables once to get away from the noise but the restaurant was nice about doing that."

  • "waiters kept kicking my chair as they walked by, my lobster was undercooked, service was not friendly. not going back."

  • "Great variety of brunch items, both breakfast and lunch, so the menu meets preferences for both category of diners. Buffet tables are set far enough apart and diners can use both sides of one set of tables, so the flow goes really well, with short waits to access the food choices. Food quality was exceptional and popovers are served at the brunch!! Servers are attentive to diners needs, without hovering over the table. This is a great place to have brunch!"

  • "Normandie Farm's reputation for Sunday Brunch is well deserved as one of the best in the area... perhaps the very best. (Outside is nice, too, but their most "scenic view" is inside!) Overall, everything was absolutely excellent. The "livery" of the wait staff is well matched to the ambiance of the place and to their very fine attentiveness... not hovering but unfailingly there flawlessly anticipating every possible request. And the food... a dazzling array of excellent to outstanding dishes. Amazing."

  • "Took our mother for her birthday - we were a party of 10. Food was better than what I antaicipatead from reading the mixed reviews. Must be a new chefr in the kitchen altho the popovers remain wonderfully the same."

  • "As good a meal as you can get in the city, but with out the hassle of driving down town. From the perfect my wife and I shared to the delicious apple pie, everything was awesome. My son tore through two popovers and absolutely loved his chicken. I had the Coq Au Vin and it was terrific and my wife throughly enjoyed her Brochette of Beef Tenderloin. The ceaser salad was really good as well. The service is attentive and quick."

  • "We go to Normandie Farm 4 or 5 times a year for special occasions. This includes birthdays, anniversaries, and guests from out of town who we want to impress. The service is always great. The menu is very interesting and pretty healthy and the food is terrific. A very reliable treat."

  • "I have been coming to Normandie Farm for brunch for 15 years and it is always an amazing dining experience. Their selections are so fresh and delicious and the service is very professional and courteous. The atmosphere is great - with the wood burning fireplaces and the antique wood finishes you feel like you are in a rustic inn in France. The beautiful decor and soft classical music makes you feel comfortable and plush without being pretentious - as all of the restaurant's class is genuine. It is kid friendly and my 5 year old said she felt like she was a princess in a castle. The only thing is that in the past 15 years their brunch price has been gradually going up and the drinks are a bit expensive. Eggs Benedict are my favorite!"

  • "I had an amazing brunch on Sunday, excellent food and service and the place is charming with a lot of history. I loved it! The price was also very good"

  • "One of the best restaurants in the area!! Our party thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful experience!! Looking forward to coming back with a larger group."

  • "For the first time, my wife tried the vegetarian plate and it was prepared perfectly, with a wide variety of vegetables. I had the coq au vin and it too was done to perfection. The server was attentive but not pushy. A nice quiet restaurant where one can talk and listen. Fantastic."

  • "We were actually there to scope Normandie Farms out as a potential wedding venue. Staff was not welcoming and there were times were we spent upwards of 10 minutes trying to attract attention for a request or to actually order. The much-vaunted popovers were dry and messy, and not particularly tasty. The entrees were quite good, but with the lack-luster service, I doubt we will go back."

  • "Difficult to comment on. A cold wintry evening and pretty cool temps. inside. Everything else was very nice."

  • "the food was good but this restaurant needs to move from the 80's decor to more upscale. Service was just OK. He started out attentive but once we ordered we did not see him again until the bill."

  • "We had been to this restaurant for brunch once before and have been talking about returning ever since. The food selection is amazing, from fresh fruit, turnovers, bagels & lox, many salads, scones, omelets, bacon, ham, potatoes, eggs benedict, waffles, pancakes, roast beef, veal marsala, turkey, cakes, mousse, rice pudding, trifle. And last but not least, their amazing popovers. There are 2 seatings that are 2 hours apart, and the day we were there, the crowd was light and manageable with no lines at the buffet. The price may be prohibitive for some ($32), but once a year, it is worth it. Juice and alcoholic beverages cost extra, but coffee and tea are included. We will look forward to returning."

  • "I've been to Normandie Farm many times, but this particular time was for Valentines day. For fine dining restaurant such as Normandie Farm a Friday Evening is already busy, but combine that with Valentine's Day and they were absolutely packed. However, the staff handled it all expertly. My reservation was honored within 5 minutes of the agreed upon time, and the hostess was both gracious and organized. Once seated at our table the wait staff was visibly "busy" but didnt seem scattered or distracted. The service was attentive but not overbearing, the food was delicious and cooked to the preferred doneness. My wife had the Crab Topped Mahi and I had a New York Strip. A great spot for a special occasion or anyday."

  • "The service and food was excellent. Fire pace was nice and cozy."

  • "The chairs in the restaurant present a real danger to its customers. A couple of years ago our friend fell from a chair, and just by miracle did not hit the edge of the fire place with her head. We told the restaurant's manager about the danger of their chairs, however until today nothing has been done. While we were in the restaurant this time several chairs fell at other tables when people stood up, luckily without people. My wife's chair also fell, and she would fall with the chair as well if I -luckily-would not catch her before it happened. If the restaurant's management has a bit of vision she change their chairs to more stable ones unless they do not mind one day to end up in a court room before judge."

  • "We were looking for a cozy place for a frosty Valentine's evening dinner with friends, and Normandie Farms fit the bill; The food and atmosphere were great -- just what we had hoped. In particular, the menu offered a great selection. The service was friendly, but a little slow -- perhaps because it was such a busy night. While waiting for our table (despite a reservation), the bartender disappeared for 10 minutes after our drink order. At the table, we had to flag down the waiter to order a bottle of wine. Still, it was a very nice evening in a charming location, with wonderful food off a great menu. We'll definitely be back."

  • "We have been regular customers there for years. This time, both my wife and I were disappointed with our food. By the time we were asked, we did not care to order alternative dishes. They did comp my wife's entree. We are considering it an aberration."

  • "Came here for valentines day and the food was great. My bf ordered a filet mignon and I ordered the lobster. They were delicious. The only reason why I would not recommend this place to a friend is because of the service. It was absolutely horrible. My bf and I had plans besides dinner on valentines day and we were not able to follow through with those plans because we were tl stuck there for so long. We sat down to eat at 6:30 and didn't leave until 9 and that was not by choice. We waited about 20 minutes for everything! 20 min to get bread, to take our wine order, our food order, to get food, to take away our plates after we finished. We are servers ourself at a casual fine dining restaurant and we know good service. This was horrible!"

  • "Was our first visit to Normandie Farm, and we were lucky to get a reservation on what was a very busy evening on Valentine's Day. The one thing that detracted from an overall great experience was the hostess. Upon arrival, she stated that they were running a little late and it would be 15-20 minutes past our reservation time (7:15pm). At 8:05pm I asked about the excess wait, and she responded with a lot of attitude. I'm not sure she is the correct person to be public facing when people have hard reservation times and end up waiting almost an hour past their reservation time."

  • "I've always loved this restaurant, but they must have over booked for Valentines Day. We arrived at our reservation time and were told that they were running 15 minutes late. Half hour later there were 5 couples still ahead of us. We finally were seated an hour late. It did not get much better. It took 15 minutes to get our drink & popovers came far after that. The whole meal was a series of waiting for the next course. Food was good. Ambiance sweet. But the service from beginning to end was very slow."

  • "We took my in-laws, who spent time in France years ago, for a truly wonderful brunch that made them nostalgic for the good old days. Everything was delicious and worth all the calories. We'll be back soon!"

  • "My wife and I love Normandie Farm for Sunday breakfast. The restaurant serves a great meal from a traditional breakfast menu between 8:00 am and 10:00 am, after which they offer brunch. In the early morning the food is hearty, the servers are caring, and Normandie Farm is uncrowded and quiet. You'll love it."

  • "Sunday Brunch was amazing, food and service was excellent. However you are going to pay for it at roughly $50 per person. We each had one drink and the buffet."

  • "We have been to Normandy Farms several times for holidays, anniversaries, Valentines Day, and for no special occasions at all. The food is always the very best and the service cannot be beat. I will continue to dine there whenever we feel the urge, which, no doubt, will be not to far into the future."

  • "As always the total ambience, especially during the holidays is warm and inviting. I was fortunate to have a lunch and host two dinner groups within a month and quality of service and food was excellent. A wonderful site for Special Occasions."

  • "My husband and I dined at Normandie Farm last weekend. We have not been there in several years but happened to be in the area. The menu is very traditional. The lobster bisque and onion soup were good. I had the duck which was very tasty, although the raspberry walnut sauce was bland. The Boston sole was nicely cooked and sweet potato side was delicious. My complaint is the poor variety and quality of wines by the glass. That alone would keep me from returning. The restaurant is known for its popovers but they were mediocre. They didn't have that warm, most inside that I remembered. The first one I was served was cold and hard. I asked for and received a replacement but it was also overcooked."
