Based on the reviews, I was expecting to love the place. Inside, it felt like the places I'd gone to with my parents in the '70s. Had a bit of a Fawlty Towers vibe going. The Pinot didn't taste like a Pinot. Then the duck came. Greasy, dry, overcooked on the bone. Couldn't finish one of the two legs. Was embarrassed when server made such a fuss that the couple at the next table listened in and then she shouted to her husband who couldn't hear well that I didn't like my food. Lovely. Very communal. Anyway, they comped a dessert instead of the meal, which didn't really do it for me. Had ordered an entree to go for my son at home, beef tournedos, and they were quite good, though a bit tough in parts. The ambiance could've been nice but it was freezing cold in the restaurant that night, despite the wood stove going. Shame.

I had the lobster. It was served with delicious Brussels sprouts and a baked potato. My husband had the duck with raspberry sauce which he always loves. This restaurant is nice and quiet -- just the way I like it to be when I sit down to a delicious meal.

I have been there for brunch and it is sumptuous but made the mistake of going too early and they weren't serving brunch. The menu was limited, the service was mediocre at best and the food was cold (despite ahot plate). They only got 1 of the 4 orders right. Had to ask for coffee each time and they mixed up regular with decaf. They finally brought cream to the table after the coffee was gone. They are used to people serving themse Ves brunch, I guess

Eight of us dined at Normandie Farm on Saturday night to celebrate two birthdays. It has been a favorite of our family for many years but I must admit that I did have concerns before the meal because of some negative reviews I had read. To our delight, we had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Our waitress, Veronika, made excellent recommendations about what to choose from the extensive list of menu items--all were delicious. The service was impeccable--Veronika or one of the other members of the wait staff promptly met every one of our requests without "hovering" over our table. As we were leaving, we all agreed that it was the best restaurant meal we had had for a long time.

We went to Normandie Farms to celebrate my wife's special birthday, on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant was not very busy. We were greeted effusively and were shown to a nice table for four. The wine list was very extensive, with bottles in all price ranges. The service was efficient, but allowed us to relax and enjoy our wine. The pace of service was appropriate. The food was wonderful. Each of the four of us ordered something different, and we all cleaned our plates. Normandie Farms is known for its popovers, which were wonderful. They recognized my wife's birthday with a complimentary dessert, and we also shared some others. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

I took my family from out of town to Normandie Farms to celebrate my Aunts birthday. It was fabulous. We went during the week so it was quiet service was impeccable and the food was fantastic. They brought out a yummy dessert and sang happy birthday to her without me having to remind anyone. Such a pleasant surprise for my aunt who just turned 86. Thank you Normandie Farms. We will be back. You are the best bang for the buck in the area. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a wonderful enjoyable dinner at a great price

There is something for everyone lots of choices for the picky eaters, lots of meat for the meat eaters, and even the vegetarians have plenty to choose from. the atmosphere is elegant, and you always feel special. My husband and I had a gift certificate to dine here and had been in no hurry to use it. Now we know otherwise! The food was delicious. The popovers served warm with butter and raspberry jam are a nice start. My stuffed artichoke (with garlic and Parmesan) would rate in the top 5 appetizers I have EVER had. My husband's veal topped with crab meat was very tasty and my prime rib was cooked to perfection. Our server could not have been more professional or accommodating. Geez..wish we had gone earlier. Don't write this restaurant off as a relic of once fine dining in the area. It still has it going on! We will be back.

We celebrated a birthday at a weekday lunch at Normandie Farm. It was wonderfully quiet and not overly busy. We had an 11:30 reservation, so we had the restaurant just for ourselves for much of the time we were there. Great server. Popovers, butter and jam started us out--fresh, warm, and delicious. The short ribs were great. And, our desserts were outstanding, too.

We chose this place for our anniversary. The night we went, most of the restaurant was taken for a high school reunion dinner, so we sat in the back room. And although there were a number of other non-reunion parties seated in that room, it wasn't cramped or rushed. The service was attentive and the food was good, though not great. Overall, a very enjoyable experience, and we will think of it for other special occasions.

I wanted to take my wife out for her Birthday and I decided on Normandie Farms. We have been there before and twice this year. It is always quiet and refined and seems to cater to the over 50 crowd. The waiters are always helpful and pleasant. I had the sole aldondine and it was very good, it came with whipped sweet potatoes, two petite broiled tomato halves and some broccolini. I also had their wonderful onion soup. Each diner also gets a fresh out of the oven popover. We had a wonderful and relaxing meal.

We decided to celebrate my daughter's birthday at the restaurant as I had read it is kid friendly. It is indeed, and not only that - they serve very generous kids portions. We all enjoyed the food and atmosphere, and the service was excellent. The only thing I would recommend is to avoid is their hot chocolate, which is made of some law quality powder.

I have known this place for years. It is always good. One of the things I have a problem with now is the lack of fresh waffles--they used to have an iron, now they have a covered tray. It just was not AS good. Still, I highly recommend the place. The omelet cook has been there for as long as I can remember.

Have been going to Normandie Farm for the last 16 years on my anniversary or wife's birthday! She loves the popovers which are large and freshly baked! I had the prime rib. It was very good. Can't say the same for the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail! The shrimp were actually tough...a new experience for me! The wife had the usual beef dish which was excellent as usual. The wait staff was very friendly...when they showed up. Although the restaurant was not crowded at all on a Tuesday night, I had to wait several minutes to get my waitresses attention several times! I have noticed the prices have risen a lot over the years which is why we only come here for special occasions!
