Nonni's BistroGreat spot for lunchI always have had very positive experiences at Nonni's. Jon and his staff appear to always be on top of their game.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat neighborhood restaurantMet my BFF here for lunch. It's a cute little restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. We both had their house salad, and I appreciated the staff suggesting blending two of their dressings. BFF had soup of the day, and I had their grilled eggplant sandwich. They use fresh ingredients and their food is very tasty. Meals also come with water flavored with citrus slices and fresh bread rolls. I would definitely go back.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMNice place to eatThis place is popular in Pleasanton. Food is very good. You can sit outside, but also the large front windows open up completely in nice weather and insiders can feel like they are dining outside. Wine list is good.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat brunch menuwe had a wonderful experience. good food, service was fine and mimosa's kept coming5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect Mother's Day brunch!Title says it all! Great food, fantastic service and delicious mimosas!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day BrunchOur Family of 4 went there for brunch on Mother's DAy and were lucky to have reserved a table outside. The service was excellent, the staff all very attentive & friendly, and the food was quite good. I had a Mediterranean Omelet which I thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely order again. Others had the Eggs Benedict which they also said was very good.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were seated right awayWe were seated right away despite it being Mother's Day weekend. The food was fresh, generous portions, pretty on the plate, and this bottomless mimosas with the floating raspberry wee delicious !5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Restaurant in TownMy family and I love this restaurant. We love coming here with friends for brunch on the weekends and dinners for special occasions. They have a welcoming atmosphere and plenty of comfortable seating for a smaller restaurant. Most importantly, their food is fantastic. They smoke their own salmon in-house, and it is not as salty and rough as your ordinary smoked salmon (definitely the best I've had). They have specialties that you can't find anywhere else in this area, such as their Thor appetizer, which consists of 3 types of pickled herring and their famous smoked salmon. Nonni's also offers a wide variety of wines and even Icelandic beers! They use quality and fresh ingredients, and seem to put a lot of care into making their food.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMJon and staff are warm andJon and staff are warm and friendly! Would definitely recommend and return!!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMBeyond expectationsWith downtown restaurants, we don't set the bar too high because of past disappointments. Our experience at Nonni's Bistro blew our socks off. Warm, friendly, attentive service on a busy Saturday afternoon - food was awesome. I had "The Eggplant", which I didn't realize was a sandwich until it arrived, but no matter - beautifully presented and so good that I ate the whole thing. Portions are perfect - not grossly oversized and not nouveau cuisine sparse. Prices are perfect too. My dining companions equally enjoyed their selections. The ambiance was to die for - warm spring (felt like summer!) day so the whole front of the restaurant was open - just gorgeous. Simple, elegant styling, great vista of Main St activity - fabulous experience.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat find on Main StreetWhat a nice find! Small, intimate and charming are all objective adjectives to describe our experience. Excellent service, relaxing atmosphere and great food. We started with the goat cheese crepe and smoked salmon flatbread appetizers. Two of us had the short ribs and one had the mussels. All were superb.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMIt is a great find when inIt is a great find when in that part of the East Bay. I hope they open another site perhaps in Walnut Creek.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love Nonni's!We love Nonni's! Chef Jon is an absolute gem! Terrific menu and great staff make for a fun dining experience every time. Thursday night Jazz combo made it even more special.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were there for a 6:30pWe were there for a 6:30p res. They were not super busy which was a good thing as their appeared to be one waiter and one bus person. The restaurant is small and has some tables outside so I would not bring small children. We sat next to a large open window. The menu is not extensive but every dish we ordered was very good. The wines offered had a nice variety and the prices were very reasonable. What was really nice is we were not rushed. I would definitely go back.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had guests in from outWe had guests in from out of town, and they wanted to take us to dinner. We haven't been to Nonni's for awhile, so we chose to go to there. All of our dinners were delicious, and service was great. We always appreciate the personal touch from wait staff. We look forward to dining there again soon.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMNice time at Nonni'sEnjoyed a wonderful dinner at Nonni's Bistro. The salmon salad was delicious; salmon perfectly cooked and greens, capers & dressing nicely complimenting it. Would definitely order it again. We were delighted to meet the Icelandic chef who came to our table and recommended some delicious wines. The noise level was quite energetic when we arrived making it a bit difficult to hear but improved when the large party seated in the center of the room departed.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed the food. Very freshEnjoyed the food. Very fresh tasting. Excellent service. Prompt and polite.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMI had the curry chicken salad,I had the curry chicken salad, which I would not recommend. . .too much mayo and not enough salad greens.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love Nonni's, but for someWe love Nonni's, but for some reason, we had a waiter that seemed to ignore us. Also, the day I made a reservation on Opentable it only gave me options of 5:30 or 7. When I got there at 5:30 I told them this. The guy said all their spots were open. I told him what I saw and he actually argued with me. I am an Opentable veteran. I know how to use it. BTW, he was also our waiter. I don't like him. But I do like the resauranr3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMNothing but good to say aboutNothing but good to say about this restaurant. The only thing better than the atmosphere was the excellent food.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMNonni's Bistro is a find!Nonni's Bistro is a find! Friends and I picked Pleasanton as a central place to meet for lunch. I looked on Open Table and saw Nonni's Bistro. It looked good. It was great! Far exceeded expectations. The service was wonderful. The food was super! I had a cobb salad made like it should be with real turkey, bacon, avocado, blue cheese dressing etc. My friends were equally happy about their meals. Great wine list by the glass and bottle. Would drive all the way to Pleasanton again to eat at Nonni's.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMMain Street TreasureWonderful food, as always and Jan was there to greet everyone.
