Very nice neighborhood restaurant with good food and friendly and welcoming service.
Garden salad with mixed dressing and salmon quesadilla type appetizer were stand outs.
I eat gluten free and they cheerfully helped me understand which items worked
or could work with modifications

I love this restaurant, in fact it's safe to say I'm a regular...at least at lunch. I had dinner here for the first time this week and while of course the food, service and ambiance were very good but the noise level was horrible. The restaurant is basically a very small space and unbeknownst to me they had live music on Thursday nights. Don't get me wrong - I enjoy live music a great deal but the accoustics in such a small room are not good. The Manager was very kind when we asked her if the band was taking a break anytime soon; she acknowledged that she couldn't even hear herself talk...so at least we know it wasn't us. With all that being said, I wouldn't let the experience stop me from going back.

This is a great neighborhood restaurant in downtown Pleasanton. The food is excellent and the service is so friendly and welcoming. We had brunch there on Easter and we ordered Stuffed French Toast (excellent) and the Vegetarian Omelet with Goat Cheese (Very good) I recommend it.

It was our 6th or 7th time eating here and we continue to love it. The gnocchi with vegetables and acorn squash is amazing. The Braised peppered short rib was also good. I will continue to come back and refer friends.

My lamb was a bit gamey, but everything else met expectations - very good but nothing earth-shattering. Nonni's is such a fun spot to eat with a nice cheery space filled with rotating art shows that aw always interesting. And the outdoor seating is perfect for 2, just wish a bigger party had space to sit outside

My husband and I very much enjoyed our first visit to Nonni's Bistro and will certainly return. The food was very tasty and the restaurant has a light, friendly atmosphere. The chef/owner, who is from Iceland, came to our table to talk to us and take our order.

Nonni's Bistro has it all. The food was filled with wonderful flavors, the wine list was lengthy and good, the prices were reasonable for a downtown Pleasanton restaurant and the service was amazing. Our chef and owner visited our table several times, and held the door as we left. My table of five all agreed that this may be where we go whenever we need to have a special pampered meal!

My husband had the lamb shank which he said was quite good. I decided on the stroganoff over vegetables rather than pasta. While the sauce was delicious, the meat was rather tough, something I had not anticipated. I did enjoy the garden greens salad.
As we were early, the restaurant was relatively empty; consequently, the owner spent a good deal of time at and near our table. I prefer a bit more privacy.
