Nonna's - West ChesterNice Find in West Chester!Nonna's was a great little restaurant in West Chester! The food was great and the atmosphere was really nice! We had outside seating which was nice cause the weather was perfect! The service was a little slow but since everything else was nice it didn't bother us too much! Would definitely recommend if you enjoy good Italian food!6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food and Great ServiceEven at 6 pm on a Saturday night, service was quick and welcoming. Will return for sure for more.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMa gemwe came here first time and only had appetizers like spinach dip, calamari and mussels.
They were excellent while their spinach dip was out of this world - best we ever had.
definitely will come back for dinner as everything looked very good.
staff is super friendly!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome FineThe big restaurants in West Chester people think of are Iron Hill, Landmark, maybe Kildares and Baraby's. I would put Nona's above all of them in terms of the food and atmosphere. Everything is excellent every time I go there, the service is great even when they are busy and the crowd is generally more mature and pleasant then the bar crowd you might run into elsewhere in town. Would recommend to anyone for any occasion.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWe'll return to this one!Friday night in West Chester is always buzzing. We were greeted warmly by a young man who parked our car (for $5!). We were a little early for our reservation but were seated in a quiet area with two tables for four, surrounded on three sides by wine cellar. Our waiter was most solicitous; made us feel welcome and took very good care of us.
Did not care for 'spaghetti sauce' tasting dipping sauce for bread; would have preferred traditional olive oil. My shrimp scampi with fresh veggies was good but I would have preferred less oil. The veggies were cooked to perfection ... al dente. Two other diners had salmon and really liked it. Fourth diner had eggplant and was quite happy also.
We definitely plan to return.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful meal, wonderfulWonderful meal, wonderful service and wonderful drinks!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMBeen there many times andBeen there many times and always a great meal. Service was attentive and the food was outstanding.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMothers Day - early dinnerWaiter was great and very helpful with our grandsons. Despite the dining room being only half full, it took the kitchen nearly forty minutes to get our orders to the table. (I timed it, as I always do.) Otherwise, all was very good.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Mother's Day DinnerWe went here for Mother's Day dinner. There was 7 of us and we had a great dinner. This wa my mother's first time dining here and she loved it. Great Pork Oco Bocco and pasta dishes. All homemade desserts!!! Wonderful!!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day LunchWe tried Nonna's for Mother's Day lunch and were pleased with the service and food. It was a bit pricey for lunch but everyone was very happy with the quality of their selections. I would recommend for large parties on special occasions.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMHome run choiceWe has reservations at another restaurant but needed to change the time and they could not accommodate us. Ended up seeing Nonnas was in the same area. Food was delicious and being italian its hard to impress. Very loud atmosphere but it still had a great vibe. Our waiter was fantastic, never felt rushed. Can't wait to go back soon.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMNonna's on friday nightwe had a great time with another couple. we ate outside until the rain came5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was excellent andThe food was excellent and so was the service. It came out perfect There was a little mixup with a substution, but they quickly rectified the problem. The food was very good, but not over the top.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMEarly Weeknight DinnerWe four sisters meet each month for dinner. We each take turns picking the restaurant. This month I picked Nonna's. We had been there before, and loved it....this time was no different. The food and service were excellent....and the chef was very accomodating when it came to making substitutions. Since we meet on the early side for dinner, the dining room was quiet. We will definitely be returning to Nonna's. Thanks to the staff for providing a very enjoyable dining experience.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had an unusual experienceWe had an unusual experience which was well handled by our server, Drew and the owner.
My wife ordered a fish dish which had some small bones, they offered a replacement and did not charge us, they were very concerned and showed great management skills.
We also had a discount coupon which we did not print correctly, they still honored the coupon which was not their respnsibility once again great management.
Our server, Drew was excellent my meal was very good and the drinks were good and modestly priced.
We will return4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMNice dining experience. TheNice dining experience. The food was good and large portions, too. The atmosphere is a bit loud but was busy, too. Overall really enjoyed our night out.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGood seafoodDinner was very good this week. I am gluten free and was very happy to find that they have a gluten free pasta option, available with almost any of their sauces. While the pasta itself was "ok", the sauce was delicious. I had the Nonna linguine (I believe that's the name). It was a spicy tomato sauce with mussels, clams, shrimp, and calamari . They did not disappoint with the seafood. It was plentiful and delicious. Will definitely be back.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I went to celebrateMy husband and I went to celebrate and had a very enjoyable evening. Good food, good service, not rushed. All very important to us. The owner was very attentive also and spent time making sure our time there was enjoyable. I would highly recommend this restaurant.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMOur party of 4 was seatedOur party of 4 was seated immediately even though it was crowded. Service a tad slow all night, not sure if it was the kitchen or waitress, but not bad. food was excellent--salads fresh, seafood wonderful and desserts terrific. definitely will go back.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMRescued the night! It was great!Saved the night! Went on a Saturday night, after leaving a formal event. We were looking for a table for two and had remembered reading about this restaurant in Main Line Today magazine. Hit the OpenTable App and got a cozy table for two! Our server Drew welcomed us and provided the correct amount of attention and privacy between table visits. We ordered from a long list of wine options by the glass, and a specialty drink called the FRANK which was spot on! We had the special flatbread for the evening (crab and avocado - deliciousness!) as a shared appetizer. My date enjoyed the traditional Egg Plant Parm which was an overly generous portion and I went with the home made goat cheese & roasted pepper ravioli. WOW! We'll be back!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food- TURN DOWN THE VOLUME!!Food is excellent; very authentic. I've had the lobster raviloi and the steak here before and both have been phenominal! The service was very good too. The only turn-off's were that it can be a bit crowded in the restaurant, but I'd imagine the reason is because the food is so good! Also- when I came for dinner the last time on a Saturday night they had some lady singing with a band upfront by the bar section which is also near the waiting lobby; she sounded good but the volume of the microphone she was singing into was WAY to loud- I couldn't even hear the hostess who was only 6 inches in front of me greet me or ask me for our name when we walked in. Thank God we got seated in the back of the restaurant because we almost walked out.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMBest ravioli around!Amazing! Outstanding! Superb! Would highly recommend to ANYONE! Best ravioli I've had in a long time!!!!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMHappy 65thThis was a special occasion and Nonna's was accomodating. The waitress was friendly, helpful and competent. Food was wonderful and the whole experience was enjoyable. I particularly like that the chef ensured a non-salt delicious Dover Sole dish for me. We've been here several times and have not been disappointed ever. We'll keep coming back!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
