A word from Nonna Cucina Rustica
Nonna provides a unique ambience blooming with history where you can savor Italian classics dishes abundant with fresh vegetables, assorted cheeses, extra virgin olive oil and “live” homemade pasta.

The menu includes a selection of dishes ranging from antipasti, soups and pasta with a variety of meats and seafood. The pizzas are made with carefully selected ingredients including Caputo flour from Naples, Italy, extra virgin olive oil unfiltered and fresh mozzarella.

"La Nonna” was the precursor of this Italian cuisine where they used the best ingredients while preparing everything from scratch. It is a throwback to the traditional and rustic cuisine. We try to respect these methods and recipes from the past while integrating cutting-edge techniques.

Diner Reviews
  • "We found this restaurant on Open Table and decided to try it while on vacation. Service was excellent. Food was wonderful. We had the seafood risotto, mushroom ravioli and an amazing fresh mozzarella appetizer. They were very gracious in accommodating our 11-year old picky eater (pasta with butter and sausage on the side). I highly recommend this restaurant. "

  • "We went there for my mom's birthday with my whole family (6 adults and 5 children) and everybody had an excellent meal. The food is very traditional, fresh, homemade italian with a modern twist. The service was very good and the food is reasonably priced. It is hands down one of the best italian restaurants in San Juan."

  • "We spent a week in SJ and had a number of great meals. Nonna was definitely a highlight for us. We had 2 kids with us (10 and 14), and we shared everything. Some highlights were the homemade mozarrella, the goat ricotta ravioli, the casoncelli, and Nonna's chicken. We also had one of the pizzas and the lobster risotto. Both were quite good, but not as good as the other pastas. The server was extremely nice and her English was great, so no issues there either. The restaurant was full when we were there, but we had no trouble getting a reservation through Open Table. All in all an outstanding spot, and one you should not miss if you are in the neighborhood. We spent ~$200 for four of us, so not cheap, but great price given quality!"

  • "The restaurant does not honor the reservation through open table. The young bar said we had to call the restaurant to make reservations."
