As we left, my mother and I were each presented with a lovely bouquet of tulips (we had each selected our color preference upon entering the dining room). What a gorgeous experience. Bravo to the staff at Nomi.
the bill was not for the feint of heart, however. But hey, it's your mother. and it's one day a year. Totally worth it!

Very romantic and they let you dine at your leisure so you dont feel rushed. After dinner there is a great bar area, as well as outdoor terrace area for cocktails in the summer. One part of menu served egg dishes early, another, after 2 PM had more vegetables.
Great view if You are near a window overlooking Water Tower. The view and the light make this special. Staff could have been more attentive, but it was a long brunch day for them.
Holidays may be more upscale compared to usual brunch. High cost.

We went for restaurant week hoping to find some good value instead we found an underwhelming menu with small portions and an overly "casual sophisticated" ambiance. Perhaps they are trying too hard to be chic. We forgot this is a hotel restaurant so prices are outrageously high and since part spa (the spa smell is overbearing as you enter) they have to feed you as if you need to lose 2 pounds before midnight.
So the food was good but not great - best choices truffled mac and cheese with a creamy (not gooey) sauce and roasted mushroom panini. Don't bother with the upcharge options for entrees - even less food for more money!
