Diner Reviews
  • "Dissaponted that we had to wait despite booking. Half an hour wait for cocktails and to give food order . Far too noisy to hear one another speak."

  • "This was a highly anticipated father daughter visit from out of state. We both had the four course menu, which offered both good selection and value. We naturally gravitated to different choices for each course, which gave us each the opportunity to sample a taste of another dish. Dad added the wine tasting. Both floors were packed full but not overly noisy. Service was spot on. We observed multiple managers alternating from behind the scenes activity to guest interaction. All four courses were delicious and beautifully presented. This visit completely lived up to our expectations. Would recommend very highly, and will definitely dine here again on a return trip."

  • "My girlfriend and I went to NOLA Restaurant for our One Year Anniversary and the food and wine were amazing. It was the perfect place to celebrate. We had a reservation and we were seated almost immediately. I highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "The food was amazing. Everything we tried was delicious. We ordered the BBQ shrimp, fried chicken, and pork chops. All the side items were great. The bread brought to the table was great. I have eaten at Emeril's restaurant on Julia St. and the food at NOLA is far better! The hostess was very nice and welcoming to my family. We were the only Hispanic people in the place and we were treated well. The place was busy but it did not take long for our food to come out. The wine list was extensive. We also had the trio for desert and it was decadent. We left on a food high! My family eats out 4 to 5 times a week. It is so wonderful when you find a place where you know that no matter what you order off the menu it will be delicious."

  • "The cocktail (NOLA lemonade), entree (shrimp & grits) , and dessert (caramelized white chocolate cremeux) were all wonderfully presented and absolutely delicious. However, it was the impeccable service that sets this place "above and beyond" other restaurants I have visited over the years. The care and attention paid to each diner, but in a friendly and not at all pretentious way, is something I'll not soon forget. I highly recommend NOLA."

  • "Was surprised to be able to get a reservation for 4 within 2 hours of selected time. The food was awesome! The portions were huge!! Pork chop, roasted duck & ribeye were fabulous!! They were busy, but you would not have known it. Service was awesome! The server made excellent recommendations. We were in town to celebrate two birthdays & the dinner at NOLA made it perfect & special!!"

  • "Fantastic service in every detail, great food and experience. Everything we expected from Emeril. Floor plan is conducive to higher noise level that was OK except for the one inconsiderate table of over indulged patrons. NOLA is an eatery that you must visit in the French Quarter."

  • "I was here in 2001. Our waiter, Jorge, was wonderful! Came back 13 years later to find Jorge the Maitre d'! He took great care of us! The food was exquisite and service was impeccable! Thank you, Jorge and John for another memorable experience!"

  • "We really loved being in New Orleans and this restaurant made our visit even more special. The food was fantastic and my husband's pork chop was the very best we've ever tasted!!! Perfection all around!"

  • "Wanted to check visiting an Emeril restaurant off my bucket list. Checked out NOLA on a rainy Sunday...came down in buckets! (no pun intended). Oustanding service from start to finish. Very welcoming and friendly. I ordered a pork cheek po-boy...but they were not available! As it turns out, I guess I was lucky as my backup lunch dish was the shrimp and grits. It was awesome! Also had a crabcake appetizer which was also excellent. The grits were drizzled with a sweet and tangy sauce and the shrimp were grilled to perfection. I could have eaten two. For dessert I had the Ooey Gooey Chocolate cake, served in a giant mug stuffed with coffee ice cream and marshmallows. Dessert was aptly named. Sugar overdose! Completely satisfied with my visit."

  • "I had the Hickory grilled duck. It was wonderful. Combined with Pali Bluff Pinot it was very good. My wife had the drum, also a good choice. The other couple had shrimp and grits and the buttermilk fried chicken. All good choices. We seemed to agree that the duck was the best. Service was great. NOLA is a good choice for dinner when in the Quarter."

  • "It had been fourteen years since I had been to New Orleans, and, my partner, who had nevet been, decided to make a trip to the city to celebrate his birthday. Because the day of our visit to the restaurant was his actual birthday, I wanted our dining experience tobe extra special, and I knew NOLA would deliver. Because of the children's birthday party going on behind our table, and the three loud and obnoxious gentlemen that wrre seated directly next to us, which was totally unexpected, that didn't happen. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of a true romantic atmosphereand ambience that evening."

  • "We enjoyed our meal and service was great! It got really noisy as the restaurant filled up. For typical New Orleans food, it was a little pricey...that said the food was very good. It was what we expected from an Emeril restaurant."

  • "We went for lunch and the food was amazing! The prices were fantastic for the quality and level of food and service you receive. I recommend NOLA to everyone visiting New Orleans, you won't be dissapointed! The service was top notch, way above expectations! We loved the food so much, we plan to go back a second time before we leave for home! This is a must place to eat for sure!"

  • "The drum was excellent. The sauce was ever better. My wife does not care for Rosemary and the pork chop was pretty heavy with it. She was disappointed yet loved the sweet potatoes. The service was incredible. Great place, would definitely go back. Just ask more questions"

  • "the food was good for the price, but not out of this world. Ordered the boudin balls, (GREAT!) wedge salad (good), fried chicken breast (good) and peach pie (good). should have ordered the drum like my date, it was excellent. would go back, just earlier. it was great when we first arrived at 6, but by the time we left our dinner at 8, it was screaming room only. not what i would have expected on a wednesday."

  • "NOLA is an incredibly good restaurant in the heart of the French Quarter. The food, location and the special service from Joe our waiter was too notch! This was my third visit to NOLA and the second time with Joe as our server. It just doesn't get any better. Visit New Orleans, done at NOLA and ask for Joe!"

  • "I was in town for work and always wanted to eat at one of Emeril's restaurant. My friend had a delicious pork chop and I had shrimp and grits and both entree's were excellent. The staff was awesome and very friendly and I like the fact that we could watch the chef's prepare the food. I would recommend this place to anyone and it's right in the French Quarter."

  • "We ate here for the first time and we are definitely coming back!! The service was amazing and the food was wonderful. My husband had the crusted drum and he could not stop eating even though he was so full! I had a salad and soup and I wish I could have it everyday!"

  • "Everything was very good.....only exception...the sweetest Mojito in the world; broke my heart not to drink it at $15.00"
    Dined on 7/10/2014
  • "The appetizers were great, but the entrees were bland. Mixed drink had virtually no alcohol. A bit noisy with no music (and we were early in the evening). Flashes of brilliance (great crab cakes and BBQ shrimp appetizers), but given expense, expected more for the total experience. Waiter recommended his favorites, but overheard him tell another table different "favorites.""

  • "Upon ordering drinks waiter was insistent on certain drinks being gluten free when in fact they were not. When ordered a meal which contained corn bread , were assured it would be substituted. Once meal came out there were crumbs of the cornbread scattered in meal, obviously chef must have realized last minute of special request and removed it . Plus duck was over cooked and chicken overly salted."

  • "We waited almost 45 minutes for our food. Although it was well worth the wait, our waitress was not very informative or concerned with the face we waited so long. After she brought out our gumbo she did not return. We had to ask someone to retrieve her to get a status on our food."
