  • "It was a treat - your service was awesome and pleasant and knowledgeable. I would go back to another emeril restaurant for sure. Nice about Nola was you did not realize in the quaint restaurant that you were in the middle of the French quarter at a festival time."

  • "We have been to the restaurant many times and have never been disappointed."

  • "Good was very good service ok. The ambient noise level to do loud that I could not enjoy the meal. I paid allot of money so I could enjoy the evening with my wife and it was very difficult for us to talk with each other. It was not that any particular group was noisy, it was the restaurant. Anyone looking for a good meal and the company of others should skip this place."

  • "Service was impeccable, food was outstanding, all in all the meal was perfect."

  • "From the moment we walked through the door and were warmly greeted until the moment we left the experience was outstanding. The food was delicious! Our favorites were the seared salmon, smoky duck and fried chicken. For dessert we shared an excellent banana pudding cake. The wait staff service was impeccable, always anticipating our needs, but not intrusive. Clearly, this is an establishment that pays careful attention to all aspects of the dining experience."

  • "Food, service and ambiance were wonderful. The portions were actually too big. Never thought I'd day that"

  • "Took a small group of customers out to dinner. Very accommodating to dietary needs. Food was very good, but not amazing, my guests enjoyed it very much. By the end of our meal, the noise level had grown to where it was hard to hear each other. I was glad we had pleasant conversation prior to that point."

  • "Well, one of Emeril's places. The shrimp and grits were OK, but I've had better shrimp and grits at places that are not trying to be fine dining. Sometimes, more is less."

  • "Our business trio enjoyed a very nice meal and attentive service. I doubt our water glasses ever reached half-full - it was almost funny. We had a 6 o'clock reservation and were seated at a lovely corner table by the window so we could see people passing on the street, and watch the people in the restaurant. One of our party had eaten here a couple of nights before, and had not enjoyed his meal but his dining partner had (she had the garlic-encrusted drum), so he ordered that and enjoyed it very much. I had the shrimp & grits-incredible! My other dining partner ordered the pork chop, which our waiter (jokingly?) referred to as the "Jurassic park chop" -he said it was peppery but good. All our plates were clean by the end. Good but expensive"

  • "Being that this is one of the emril restaurants I was expecting a lot more than I received. I ordered an appetizer for the table which never materialized (" forgotten" by the waiter!!!). Later I ordered a latte, which was offered to me AFTER all of my dining companions had completed their coffee!!! The food was mediocre, copious, but bland. The service included a great number of people who apparently don't realize that they have to COMMUNICATE with one another."

  • "The Garlic Crusted Drum fish entree is to die for. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I would go again just for this dish. Fish was cooked perfectly, crusted beautifully with great flavor, the potato bravas were a nice compliment and the lemon aioli sauce was DIVINE. Shrimp & Grits were too strong in BBQ flavor for me and was alright, but I would probably pass on that. Was given 1/2 a buttermilk fried chicken entree for 1/2 price since I wanted to try it, moist and good crisp on the breaded skin without being too fried, sweet mashed potatoes was okay but tasted weird as did the sugar snap peas, nothing too special about it. Key Lime Bread Pudding was sweet but I would probably pass on it. Complimentary jalapeno cornbread was amazing!"

  • "My boyfriend and I treated ourselves to dinner at Nola on our second night in New Orleans, and I am so thankful that we did. From the moment the staff opened the doors at 6pm and ushered us in, to when our server whisked away our licked-clean plates, I was wowed. I have never been treated to such excellent customer service and I'm from Canada, the homeland of nice people! Our server was incredible, and made us feel so welcome. The young man who helped clear our table or refreshed our wine glasses was wonderfully attentive. Everyone was so kind and courteous, and the food was so delicious, I am STILL raving about it."

  • "The service was outstanding. Our waiter, Adrian, was very helpful in selecting a wine for the meal. Unfortunately, the food was only fair. My wife had shrimp and grits. The grits were delicious with a very tasty mild barbeque sauce. However, the shrimp had that bland, chewy toughness typical of frozen shrimp. I had the corn meal dusted catfish. It was very bland. No flavor or seasoning could be discerned. The fish was so heavily dusted with cornmeal the experience was like eating precooked grits with a spoon. Still, we finished the meal with a perfectly made coffee and Baileys along with some delicious home-made ice-cream. When you come to New Orleans for the seafood, this night was a big disappointment for us."

  • "I have enjoyed NOLA since the '90s. Same great quality of food and flavors. This time I took customers to NOLA and no one had any complaints! Excellent as always."

  • "We have been fans of Emeril for years. When we had the opportunity to visit New Orleans for a convention, our first thought was that we had to visit NOLA. Our server, Paul was wonderful. The food was some of the best I have ever eaten and I would highly recommend this restaurant!"

  • "Best food experience I have ever had. Fried green tomatoes - unbelievable! Stuffed wings. Never had anything like it! Pork chops to die for - really! Knowledgable courteous staff"

  • "The food is fantastic but the place is way too noisy to enjoy the meal."

  • "We took friends to NOLA, and chose to sit in the back in front of the wood fire oven, next to the "pass line" in their open kitchen. We wanted to see the food being prepared and watch the "show". It was fabulous. As a foodie, I asked tons of questions, all of which were answered with smiles and enthusiasm! The food is to die for, we have been here several times, and always been amazed at each dish we have tried! Worth every bite and every penny!"

  • "My visit to NOLA was very good. My fiancé and I mostly came to this restaurant since it was one of Emril's. The food was very good and were portioned larger than expected. We sat in the second floor. The staff was very attentive. Overall we had a great dinning experience."

  • "We spent four days in the Quarter and had unbelievably great food until we went to NOLA. So disappointing when the hype doesn't translate. The place is really nice, the ambience is great, but none of that matters if the food is tasteless. All six people at our table felt the same way -- not going there again. So much for BAM!"

  • "The service was great and the food matched my expectations. We had 3 different appetizers, dinners, drinks and dessert. All of the choices were excellent."
    Dined on 4/6/2014
  • "I wouldn't be surprised if Emril hasn't been here since opening night. Food was decent. If you are expecting a meal similar to an "iron chef's" restaurant quality then you will be disappointed. Maybe I was expecting too much. Uncreative plates, but large amounts for those that like that. I'd prefer high quality food over large amounts."
    Dined on 4/6/2014
  • "I had a crab cake which was OK and the shrimp. Neither would I go back for, there are two many other restaurants in New Orleans."
    Dined on 4/4/2014
  • "I had high hopes for the experience at NOLA from the write ups but I think it's over-rated. The food was fine but but could've been better... Very rich & kind of had too much going on. Our waiter forgot one of our appetizers, not a big deal & he fit it in before the entrees arrived. The room was noisy & busy. Presentation was excellent however so I would probably tell people to eat here, with reservations in my rec."

  • "appetizers and desserts were top notch main lunch courses were so-so noticed that we were not charged for desserts. when questioned our server stated it was because it took so long to bring our meals. We were in the restaurant for two hours but it was so relaxing we didn't really care. Loved the staff. Perhaps dinner courses are tastier than lunch; but if one is going for lunch a survey of the appetizer menu is a sure winner. did not try a wine, as the minimum looked to be a half-bottle and I was the only person drinking; however the list was extensive with notable wines included."

  • "It was a wonderful dining experience from beginning to end. We flew in from Seattle and wanted to try Emeril's restaurant, what a terrific discovery, it made our weekend in New Orleans more enjoyable. Every morsel was cooked to perfection and delivered with style. We totally enjoyed our meal and would strongly recommend this restaurant to our friends."

  • "Lunch at NOLA upon recommendation of friends. Disappointed in service, had to ask for water and bowl for seafood shells. Service slow. Portions small. 5 shrimp in the shrimp and grits !"

  • "From the hostess to the servers we felt a vibe from the staff that working that day was a big drag. No one was pleasant and made us feel like we were not welcome. Watching other tables I could since the same thing happening as food was being sent back to the kitchen after long waits as well. A Saturday lunch for two people should not take two hours, and we did not order dessert because we thought we would be there for three hours! A first impression is just that and we will not be back as we found the food good, but nothing that "wowed". We ordered the BLT salad, cauliflower and bacon soup, po-boy and mussels. The recommended Bloody Mary's were watery. What a shame..."

  • "I love NOLA and can always find an excuse to return. I have to say though that the service this time was slow. The tables on either side of us were served long before we were and we'd ordered before them. That said, the food was wonderful and we had a very good time. Love the fried chicken!"

  • "We had dinner here our final night in New Orleans. We were traveling with our two daughters (aged 10 and 12) and they loved it as well - high energy, great food, great service. Highly recommend!"

  • "This was a repeat visit. The food is still amazing, but it is incredibly noisy. I requested a quiet area this time. We were seated on the third floor. Tables were European style close - so it was easy to over hear other people's conversations. Another disappointment was that the menu was exactly the same as it was 3 years ago. I understand keeping the fan favorites, but variation would be nice. Despite the fact the food is good and the service is attentive, I would not go back. Part of a fine dining experience is the atmosphere and 'wow' food. There is nothing bad about NOLA's food/service. If you have never been, I encourage you to go. If you have already been, you may want to try another one of NO's wonderful restaurants."

  • "We had a great dining experience at NOLAS. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted at the front door, traveled on the elevator to our 3rd floor table and the terrific service we received from Raymond. The food was excellent!"

  • "Loud!! Food was very good, Delmonico is better. Loud, loud, loud!!! We had to practically yell at each other to be heard. Also, while service was better than average, not exactly up to the standard I expected."

  • "Overall it was good a few thing I was disappointed in, I ordered. The beet salad ,not a whole lot of beets is was a green salad, my steak was over cooked, it tasted good but overlooked . It was my sisters 50th and she was served a scoop of vanilla ice cream for her big day, I was expecting a little more from this restaurant and Emerald. Service was excellent, loved the atmosphere . I did comment about my salad not my steak, I was hoping someone should have fixed my salad brought me some more beets at least."
