  • "I have been to NOLA on every one of my 10 trips to New Orleans, as well as Emeril's other restaurants, Delmonico and Emeril's. It never disappoints! It has a great French Quarter feel and the service is top-notch. The boneless buttermilk fried chicken with sweet potato mash is excellent!"

  • "Loved the food. We always return when in New Orleans. Wait staff was pushy, however. Hard to have a relaxed meal."

  • "The four of us sat on the second floor in front of the window with great lighting. We enjoyed every last bite. We started with delicious appetizers, which set the tone for the whole meal. The lunch entrees were Devine. The garlic crusted Drum fish was the best fish dish ever! I was in food heaven!! Our waiter Travis and his crew made us feel comfortable. Travis was funny and even took pictures of us around the restaurant. The whole experience was delightful. Only negative was cost of the bottles of wine. Wine pricing was higher then most."

  • "It was really a pleasant time with part of my family. A quiet atmosphere. Ideal for lovers. Clean and nice place to be. Good service. Many thanks to the waitresses for their service. I really enjoyed the food, specially the wine and my pork Po Boys. I will come back and recommend it to friends. Viva NOLA!! "

  • "Everything was AMAZING from the food to the service to the ambiance. Zero complaints here!!!"

  • "We've eaten here many times and I think the food keeps getting better. The gumbo was delicious as it always is - it is so rich and flavorful that I could eat two or three bowls. Drum entree was delicious as was the boudin - all the food features ingredients which are locally-outsourced and as fresh as can be. All cocktails were strong and flavorful. NOLA definitely makes the best sazerac in town. The chocolate peanut butter ice cream was a miss - nothing bad, just nothing special for the price. We had a great time - - our servers were very good, but as usual at NOLA as the restaurant gets more crowded the quality of service diminishes. Also - tables are so very, very close together - maybe if there were a few less . . . still great!"

  • "Stuffed chicken wings were delicious Duck....precooked and microwaved .......not crispy Bacon fat was overpowering with the Drum This restaurant visit was to be a highlight of our trip. We (4) were disappointed."

  • "The service was wonderful, the decor was lovely, but everything changed once we got our drinks. My martini had NO alcohol in it - truly strange! My husband had a mixed drink with whisky but that also had very little alcohol in it. The food, described by our waitress with true artistry and enthusiasm, was so mediocre. The duck was overloaded with a bbq sauce that overpowered the duck. The corn bread pudding was strange, flavorless and mushy. My fish (the drum) was also overpowered by way too much garlic. Too bad, because the fish was well cooked The butter sauce did not fit with the fish - the flavors didn't blend. This experience was a real disappointment!"

  • "Returned after an exceptional casual dinner at the bar 2 years ago where we had great and friendly service and the best BBQ shrimp in town. Made a reservation through Open Table, indicating it was my wife's birthday and that she is gluten-intolerant. We were seated on the second level at a small table between two others about a foot away. Restaurant very busy, noise level so high I could not hear my wife or the waiter. BBQ shrimp still outstanding, gumbo richly-flavored, boudin balls very tasty, crab cake over-cooked ( dark-brown--should not have been sent out). Service very spotty and dis-combuberated: first glass of wine took forever to arrive, service team out of synch and very rushed. Wife's birthday noted after check brought out."

  • "The atmosphere was not what I expected. It was very noisy, the food was ok very pricey. The wait staff and hostesses were awesome. I would recommend restaurant only if you want to say you visited an Emeril restaurant."

  • "Great food is avaialable throughout N'Awlins - I personally believe bad restauarants close within weeks because there are so many great restaurants. What makes NOLA so special is the wait staff and level of service!! The quality of the food is exemplarily; but the service is head and shoulders above almost all others in the Crescent City (Commander's being the exception). Emeril's organization does such a remarkable job with the front of the house - in ALL his restaurants throughout the country. This is our favorite restaurant in the WORLD - Av, Jorge, Billy and Josh - keep up the good work! "

  • "The service was excellent as they attended to all of our needs. The food was exactly what we expected at an Emerald's restaurant."

  • "The food was too expensive to be so mediocre. In a city with so many restaurants this just wasn't worth the trip. The service was good but it didn't make up for the food. The descriptions of he meals was misleading and completely inaccurate. "

  • "From the moment we entered the staff was friendly and attentive.the food was creative and the flavors and texture worked well We will put this on our short list in New Orleans "

  • "The food, service and atmosphere were terrific. They were also very accommodating with my onion allergy and prepared a meal especially for me. I would definitely go back!"

  • "Of all the restaurants we went to while here in New Orleans, this was the best. You could just dine on the appetizers. The main courses were equally as good. I would highly recommend the duck."

  • "Small portions, entrees overpriced by $10, average food. Had the drum and salmon, beet salad and another unmemorable one (each small at $12). Jalapeño corn muffin was tasteless. Food should be much more tasty at these prices. Trio of creme brulee fine but nothing special. Nice servers, tho. "

  • "Saved this restaurant for our last night in New Orleans and it was worth the wait. Best meal I had. The service was impeccable as well. The duck pizza was delish and my husband loved his gumbo appetizer. The shrimp and grits were better than I had anticipated....yummo!! Everything was terrific and will definitely be back on our next visit"

  • "My husband and I wanted to eat somewhere special while in New Orleans, and NOLA had been recommended to us. The food was good, but we both felt like for a nice restaurant that the decor was a bit shabby. There were water stains on the ceiling and overall the place didn't have a very upscale feel to it. The waiter was nice enough, but he was always looking across the room while talking to us and we couldn't always understand him. The drink service was super fast but we did seem to have to wait awhile for our food. No big deal though. We weren't in a hurry. Anyway, it was good, but it wasn't our best meal during our 4 day stay in the big easy."

  • "This was our third time at NOLA. We love this restaurant. We requested a table upstairs which is our favorite place in the restaurant to dine. The food is so awesome you can't even describe it! Our waiter and his team were wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is an experience you don't want to miss."

  • "NOLA has been one of our favorite spots. This time we felt the food quality was nothing special given the price. Maybe we just caught an off night. We would go back and give them another chance."

  • "We loved Nola restaurant from previous dining experiences but Saturday night was definitely not the same. The ribeye steak was Dennys thin and overcooked. The stuffed chicken wings tasted like eggrolls that you get at the carnival stand. The seafood gumbo was good at least. Better luck hopefully next time."

  • "Dined there April 7th. Our second visit to New Orleans and to this restaurant. Friendly, competent and professional staff. Outstanding food. Great bar. Casual atmosphere. In a city renown for its cuisine, NOLA shines. Made my reservations (you really need reservations!) online this time and it worked like a charm. We will probably return to New Orleans, it's such a fun town. If we do, we will definitely eat at NOLA again."

  • "It was a treat - your service was awesome and pleasant and knowledgeable. I would go back to another emeril restaurant for sure. Nice about Nola was you did not realize in the quaint restaurant that you were in the middle of the French quarter at a festival time."

  • "Good was very good service ok. The ambient noise level to do loud that I could not enjoy the meal. I paid allot of money so I could enjoy the evening with my wife and it was very difficult for us to talk with each other. It was not that any particular group was noisy, it was the restaurant. Anyone looking for a good meal and the company of others should skip this place."

  • "From the moment we walked through the door and were warmly greeted until the moment we left the experience was outstanding. The food was delicious! Our favorites were the seared salmon, smoky duck and fried chicken. For dessert we shared an excellent banana pudding cake. The wait staff service was impeccable, always anticipating our needs, but not intrusive. Clearly, this is an establishment that pays careful attention to all aspects of the dining experience."

  • "Took a small group of customers out to dinner. Very accommodating to dietary needs. Food was very good, but not amazing, my guests enjoyed it very much. By the end of our meal, the noise level had grown to where it was hard to hear each other. I was glad we had pleasant conversation prior to that point."

  • "Well, one of Emeril's places. The shrimp and grits were OK, but I've had better shrimp and grits at places that are not trying to be fine dining. Sometimes, more is less."

  • "Our business trio enjoyed a very nice meal and attentive service. I doubt our water glasses ever reached half-full - it was almost funny. We had a 6 o'clock reservation and were seated at a lovely corner table by the window so we could see people passing on the street, and watch the people in the restaurant. One of our party had eaten here a couple of nights before, and had not enjoyed his meal but his dining partner had (she had the garlic-encrusted drum), so he ordered that and enjoyed it very much. I had the shrimp & grits-incredible! My other dining partner ordered the pork chop, which our waiter (jokingly?) referred to as the "Jurassic park chop" -he said it was peppery but good. All our plates were clean by the end. Good but expensive"

  • "Being that this is one of the emril restaurants I was expecting a lot more than I received. I ordered an appetizer for the table which never materialized (" forgotten" by the waiter!!!). Later I ordered a latte, which was offered to me AFTER all of my dining companions had completed their coffee!!! The food was mediocre, copious, but bland. The service included a great number of people who apparently don't realize that they have to COMMUNICATE with one another."

  • "The Garlic Crusted Drum fish entree is to die for. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I would go again just for this dish. Fish was cooked perfectly, crusted beautifully with great flavor, the potato bravas were a nice compliment and the lemon aioli sauce was DIVINE. Shrimp & Grits were too strong in BBQ flavor for me and was alright, but I would probably pass on that. Was given 1/2 a buttermilk fried chicken entree for 1/2 price since I wanted to try it, moist and good crisp on the breaded skin without being too fried, sweet mashed potatoes was okay but tasted weird as did the sugar snap peas, nothing too special about it. Key Lime Bread Pudding was sweet but I would probably pass on it. Complimentary jalapeno cornbread was amazing!"

  • "My boyfriend and I treated ourselves to dinner at Nola on our second night in New Orleans, and I am so thankful that we did. From the moment the staff opened the doors at 6pm and ushered us in, to when our server whisked away our licked-clean plates, I was wowed. I have never been treated to such excellent customer service and I'm from Canada, the homeland of nice people! Our server was incredible, and made us feel so welcome. The young man who helped clear our table or refreshed our wine glasses was wonderfully attentive. Everyone was so kind and courteous, and the food was so delicious, I am STILL raving about it."

  • "The service was outstanding. Our waiter, Adrian, was very helpful in selecting a wine for the meal. Unfortunately, the food was only fair. My wife had shrimp and grits. The grits were delicious with a very tasty mild barbeque sauce. However, the shrimp had that bland, chewy toughness typical of frozen shrimp. I had the corn meal dusted catfish. It was very bland. No flavor or seasoning could be discerned. The fish was so heavily dusted with cornmeal the experience was like eating precooked grits with a spoon. Still, we finished the meal with a perfectly made coffee and Baileys along with some delicious home-made ice-cream. When you come to New Orleans for the seafood, this night was a big disappointment for us."
