Very small (only 7 tables + 4 bar stools), with an even smaller sister restaurant next door which serves Thai/Indian. The menu is extremely limited (we could not find a suitable appetizer) and the description appears to be only a "suggestion" as to what is actually served. The etouffee was to have had beans, rice and greens, but the plate did not have either the beans or rice. The food is not Cajan/Creole, it is more Indian-spiced. Not bad, but not what is really advertised. The couple who own the building try very hard to please and for that reason, we'll be back. However, they need to expand the menu to be in business for the long-run.

We showed up on time for our reservation, and no one was there. The main door was open, we walked into the back of the place and called out, but no response. The dining room doors were locked. We waited about 10 minutes, then left and ate across the street.

When we got there they were so disorganized that even though we booked there was no table available. Probably happens a lot since only a tiny piece of the space (formerly Nectar Wine Bar) is considered Nola. They asked if we wanted to sit in the "other restaurant" which is connected (same owner). This other space is a "global cafe" which would lead me to believe their menu would have a variety of food. Its mostly Indian food so we stuck with the Nola menu. We got a shrimp poboy which was flavorless & cost $19. We sat in silence until someone turned on music. Wait staff was less than attentive & could've brought some bread since it took almost an hour to make 1 sandwich. Wine was good but such a tiny pour! Owner was very nice.
