I might expect to sit at a counter table at MacDonalds, but not at a proper restaurant. The waitstaff was overwhelmed and undermanned. The drinks sat on the bar for ten minutes, and arrived immediately before the entre. The food was good, albeit less than warm, as I am sure sat on the counter unattended before serving.

Warm and cozy yet sophisticated bistro. Scallops with butternut squash risotto were excellent. Duck breast with gnocchi our favorite. Definitely worth a try if you have not been since opened as Noelle.

The staff of Noelle provides a warm welcome when we enter the restaurant. The chef is outstanding. We enjoyed every morsel of the food we dined on Saturday night. The previous visit, I had the duck which I usually do not enjoy and which I thoroughly enjoyed that night. Our servers have been knowledgeable, friendly and diligent. We like the way the tables are spaced, so that we can engage in conversation without shouting. The rest room is lovely and clean, the lighting throughout Noelle is eye-pleasing, subtle and sufficient, and the staff gracious along the walking routes. The owners are lovely, humble and gracious as well.

This was our first visit to Noelle and it was eagerly anticipated. There are a lot of hard surfaces and the noise level got loud enough that our party of 8 could not converse the length of the table. Although house-made breads are listed in the starters, no complimentary bread arrives at the table, which seemed strange for an upscale space. When I asked for lemon for my water, only 1 piece was brought. When I asked for lemon for the table, the server said lemons were too expensive, so management told servers only to provide them to patrons who asked for them. Like the absence of bread, it's curiously stingy for an upscale spot. Food was good but not exceptional.

We found the brighter atmosphere an improvement but the metal top tables without covers not urban but stark It was nice to not have the blaring music of Whitfields or the very dark atmosphere. . Food was above average and better than the last days of Whitfields. Service the night we were there was very good. While excellent I understand the complaint of so many people about having to pay $5 for bread and butter. The restaurant was very empty for a Friday night and will have to draw a much larger crowd to last. I hope the ownere reads and responds to the numerous negative comments on various web site reviews.

I liked the feel of the restaurant. My husband had the scallops (3) and they were pretty pricey. I had the lamb chops and they were chewy and stringy. The salads, although very good, are pretty small and not inexpensive. Overall, I think the food is overpriced. They also charge for bread. I'll try Noelles again, but it may be awhile.

I came to Noelle with some anticipation on the basis of what appeared to be an interesting menu. Regrettably I will not repeat. Service was prompt, friendly, courteous and not too obtrusive. Ambience was austere to say the least for a high-dollar place. Steel table tops? And bread as an appetizer for five bucks? Drinks were ungenerous and expensive. The menu looked great, but execution was unfortunate. The scallops were tasty and tender but overwhelmed by the bitterness of the chard, and the mushrooms and miso may as well not have been there. The short ribs were completely done in by overuse of a strong spice (cumin?) and the sauce was pasty. In comparison with the many other Nashville high-end bistros, this was low on the list.

Noelle is located in the old Whitfield's building. Thankfully, it brings an amazing "farm to table"-esque menu to West Nashville. Great, friendly service and incredible food. Incredible. They make their own bread and butter, melt in your mouth pork tenderloin, truffle mac n cheese, delicious salmon and so much more. Our server Brian was fantastic. Whitfield's quality declined significantly toward the end of their era, and now Noelle blows them out of the water. One of the three owners of Whitfield's stuck around to bring his restaurant dream to life, and this is his result. Delicious!

Noelle was quite refreshing after having had good experiences at Club 106 and Whitfield's before. Completely redone and the food was a smash. The pork tenderloin on polenta/kale was one of the best preparations that I have ever had. I went in with a preconceived notion of what it would be like and was very, very positively surprised. The service was very attentive and the overall experience was top notch for a late night dinner. Easily will recommend to my foodie friends.

This was our second wonderful experience at Noelle. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable & attentive, and make you feel welcome & taken care of from the moment you walk in. Our party was a variety of eaters and everyone was very happy with their meals. I'm vegan with a severe dairy allergy and didn't feel like I missed out on any course. The staff graciously adjusted my dishes and my main entree was a fresh creation. At many local restaurants they feel that an entree of random "sides" should suffice for the vegetarian/vegan option, but the chef at Noelle went out of his way to make sure I had a savory, delicious dish. A table favorite was the melon salad which was a fantastic combination of super ripe honeydew & spicy nasturtium leaves.

apps were good, but how can you mess up a cheese platter and it was odd the bread and butter was an appetizer therefore you had to pay for 2 rolls and 2 flavors of gourmet butter. salads fine. took a while for the entrees to come out. Tomato risotto with shrimp, shrimp was cooked perfectly but the rest of the dish tasted like rice in condensed tomato soup. the pork, so-so, the salmon, also so-so, and the short ribs were good. the desserts; creme brûlée and the peach crumble were good - creme brûlée was a light and airy type and was nice after a heavy meal. waiter was experienced and knowledgeable and he was right on. the parking is horrible-extremely tight, come in a Leaf or smaller or you back into one of their 100 balusters like we did.

You don't have to drive to East Nashville, or the Gulch or NashSoBroHoBroWeSoHo to have a fine dinner. Do not skip the cheese plate or the bread with compounded butters. Risotto was very good. Service is quite good, attentive and engaged but never haughty (which is becoming a problem in some places in Nashville, but that's the price you pay as you become a restaurant town). West Meade/Belle Meade is not known for supporting new places; listen people, give Noelle a try.

My wife and I have been intending to go out for a special dinner for several weeks, and things kept getting in the way. I was uninspired on selecting a dinner location, but noticed Noelle popped up and gave it a try on total faith. It is a fantastic restaurant, both the food and the service were excellent. Cory, our waiter, was helpful and informative on food and wine recommendations. He also gave us a secret coupon that can be used anytime in August, and we are already planning my wife's birthday celebration there in a few more weeks. Classy place, and excellent food.

My friends raved about Noelle and insisted we go. I was surprised to see it was Whitfields. You must go but don't expect to feel any De ja vu for the past establishment. Noelle is a rebirth in that its a total new look and complete new menu. The small plates are perfect for late evening. I think we had them all along with some excellent wine. Our service was great ad the owner visited with us as well. I plant to be a frequent guest.

We did not love this restaurant and wanted to as it is in the neighborhood. Most of us had the roasted oysters which had too much vinegar and ham when lemon juice and black pepper would have been better. The steak was good as was the crème brulee. The beet salad was excellent but all in all it was too expensive for what we had. Our server was good.

I dined at Whitfield's many times, and was quite sad to hear that it was closing. But after visiting Noelle, I liked the atmosphere so much better! Stepping in is like a breath of fresh air. While the food was great at Whitfield's, often it felt a bit stuffy. Noelle has a whimsical but sophisticated vibe with a color palette that reminds me of the beach. The staff was very knowledgeable about food allergies (I had Dee Dee who was awesome!) as I have gluten intolerance and am a pescatarian. I had the scallops, which were pretty good. (I'm extremely picky when it comes to scallops). For dessert, I had the Chocolate Peanut Butter Terrine, which wasn't as sweet as I had expected it to be, but I think that made it even better.

Brought my Sister in Law to dinner here. She thought Noelle was an expensive restaurant to enjoy on special occasions. She loved the new décor and the fact the pricing allowed her to dine here on a weekly basis. Her comment was she couldn't wait to tell her friends. She also was excited to see that her favorite server from another restaurant (Nero's) - Dee Dee was working here! A bonus she said. I on the other hand will continue to tell my family and friends about this great restaurant that has shot to the top of my list as my favorite!
