Diner Reviews
  • "Had a starter vegetable tempura, tofu entre and trout. They were ok on the whole by American standards, but therefore should have been priced the same as your average pseudo-Japanese place. Everything we ordered tasted overpoweringly of Ponzu which showed the calibre of the chefs there. Overall disappointing, will not recommend or return myself."

  • "Sushi is great but it's defenetevely too expensive!!!"

  • "It is a hot spot, cool and vibrating place with Excelllent food. The tasting menu is great!"

  • "wine list poor. Service very slow. Overprised for food quality."

  • "We have been to Nobu in New York and were very happy to find a slightly different menu in Miami. Everything we ordered was delicious, but even more impressive than the amazing food was the outstanding service. So many people helping, we never wanted or waited for a thing. Highly trained, very accommodating staff. Will definitely be back the next time we are in town."

  • "A Treat, food was excellent. But very expensive. A one time visit to experience great cuisine is sufficient."

  • "Expected far more since I have been to Nobu London & Cape Town, both were far more upscale in decor, dress code & menu. Only highlight was the Miso Black Cod, as for the rest of the menu we've had better sushi at our local in Austin!"

  • "We have eaten in the Nobu's in London, NYC, Budapest - Miami menu is different but has all the classics - family of four had a night of foodie indulgence"

  • "Great sushi, excellent sushi, still stunning flavors and great service."
    Dined on 7/24/2014
  • "Food was really ok. Service Level compared with proposed gratuity of around 20 percent not covering our expectation. It was more a Main Station Feeling instead of upper class dining. Speaking together not possible. It was too loud. So overall cost/benefit ratio not ok. Price Level too high for that. We were really disappointed."

  • "Great food, very good service, extremely expensive."

  • "We have been to Nobu in Miami, Malibu, and New York. We always have a great experience. We could eat unlimited yellowtail & jalapeno every time. Look forward to our next Nobu experience."

  • "This was an unbelievable dining experience. Some of the most delicious food I have ever eaten. The lobster risotto and pork belly was incredible. The service was excellent too."

  • "Muito bom!!! Ficamos na dúvida do cardápio, fomos muito bem orientados pelo Garçom, as sugestões foram excelentes."

  • "We visited Nobu some years ago and had good experience, so we went back again. However, portion got smaller and dishes are more overpriced. We are disappointed by declining of taste and of curtesy of dishes. For example, chef's selection should come with best ingredients, but key element was missing; some of the dishes has misleading name. "Hiyashichuka" supposed to come with specific chuka noodles, but it was made of somen and with strange taste. Should change the name of the dish."

  • "The food and service were great - as expected from Nobu. But the dining room look and feel was disappointing. Although it was difficult to get a reservation, the restaurant was half empty."
    Dined on 7/3/2014
  • "The food was very impressive, but they were stingy with the amount of food they gave for such an expensive price. My night ended with a large bill and a hungry family. Don't get me wrong though, I truly did enjoy the food they have! If you want to go to Nobu just be prepared and have a bite to eat before you enter the restaurant."

  • "It was definitely expensive but the food was fantastic- sashimi was fresh and tasty, cooked dishes were perfectly done, all using the choice parts of a fish. Subtle flavors came through. Definitely be back next time we are in Miami."
    Dined on 6/27/2014
  • "Don't bother with this one, food is very americanised and doesn't come close to the London or Hong Kong restaurants. Has a diner like feel instead of a high end restaurant. For anyone who has sampled other Nobu restaurants or other notable Japanese restaurants you will be very disappointed."
    Dined on 6/26/2014
  • "Over priced and portions are very small.. Nobu should be ashamed of this restaurant"
    Dined on 6/20/2014
  • "In an almost empty restaurant rather inexplicably we're seated near the fire exit. We tried the chef's special -85$- which consisted in five courses one of them being the desert. It was good but not exceptional by far. Too expensive for what it offers."
    Dined on 6/12/2014
  • "Disappointing on all levels - grossly overpriced, ridiculously tiny portions and wooden tables with no linens! Still hungry after dropping $350 - went for pizza! Next night experienced Sushisamba - outstanding!"

  • "loved it and al of Nobu's restaurants. We have been to many Nobu and Matsuhisa establishments over the years and they never disappoint us."

  • "Nobu never fails. The food is outstanding: fresh, creative, and presented beautifully. The service is impeccable. For a hot, (still) trendy, hip place, Nobu delivers what matters: food and service. (Oh, and outstanding drinks as well!)"

  • "Food was mediocre, ambiance nothing special , very noise , I left the restaurant still hungry, bill was over $300. Not recommended "

  • "We had a terrific meal, can't say enough about the yellow tail appetizer, and the waitress was extremely knowledgable and helpful. Be prepared for the prices, though, especially if you want to sample the specials."

  • "Not quite what I expected, but it was nice. I have no complaints. "

  • "Being my first visit to the famous Nobu, i had a high standard in mind. The food definately lived up to expectation. Flavour, texture, presentation were great! The surroundings were rather a disappointment though. I think i was expecting something chic & refined, so was suprised to find the decoration as textured wood & turquoise tiled combo; the effect being somewhat 'garish'; certainly not with the finesse i had been expecting. Our server was not forthcoming with information on the menu. Having dined in high end restaurAnts throughout miami we had been introduced to the menu and dining style immediately. This was not done. He was very informed however, once we had asked questions. Overall a good experience and we would return/recommend. "

  • " Food way below other nobu restaurants...and expectations level. Wines overpriced."
    Dined on 5/12/2014
  • "It's kind of hidden in plain sight, but once you find it, you won't regret it, the food is simply amazing, an impressive sake and wine list"

  • "The restaurant is at the Shore Club, so from the outside it looks a little dated, but once you come in, the place is really charming. When we walked in at 7:15, there were just a few people, but by 7:45 the place was packed. The service was impeccable. Our waiter was not only helpful, but so accomodating we felt like royalty. On top of that, there were at least 6 people walking around the restaurant just looking around to refill water glasses, clean your table and pour wine. Loved it! The food was delicious but the portions were too small. The sushi rolls were tiny but amazing. The Sashimi salad, greens with a few pieces of salmon was definitely overpriced at $36.00. Still, I thoroughly enjoyed the food, the ambiance and the location. "

  • "The food was absolutely delicious! I will go back again and agin for the food, but for the high quality of food and the high price, the look of the restaurant was not consistent. It looked like we were at a $15 a plate restaurant. "

  • "Wonderful food. It was our first time going to a Nobu, their staff was very friendly and guided us through the fantastic menu. All the selctions our server helped us choose were delicious. Black Cod Miso was extraordinary, and the yellowtail appetizer was also very tasty."

  • "We have been to 3 other Nobu's and this one in Miami did not disappoint at all. This Nobu is located in a very trendy hotel as the walk to the restaurant was ordained in a very eclectic atmosphere. Food was great and the miso sauce is amazing. Sushi was ultra fresh; melts in your mouth with no fishy taste. "
