The ambiance was really nice and the decor was really relaxing and romantic at the same time.
The sushi was alright, the reason I picked the restaurant I thought the sushi would be a little bit better than the ones I've gone to. I also ordered the gyoza and that was extremely good.
All in All my experience was good and I'm glad I went to Nobu to celebrate my 46th birthday.

We are a family of five diehard Nobu fans! (The boys are now 11, 16, and 18). We eat here often in NYC, have tried the Nobu at the Atlantis (ate there twice in four days)... and were eager to try the LA version. Nobu never disappoints. Our favorites are consistently delicious as we expect, and the sushi is always delectably fresh. This is not your typical "chain" restaurant.... This is NOBU folks!!

Food was bad. Too salty, tried to do fusion but the taste of couple dish doesn't go well like the artichoke salad and the tomato ceviche. Tempura batter was soft and detached from the veggie. Chopped scallop sushi was the worst I've ever had in my life, it has no flavor. Just plain with literally chopped scallop bits wrapped with rice and seaweed. I guess the toro with caviar and truffle oil was the only decent dish that evening. But I've had super fresh bluefin toro at other japanese restaurants, so this makes the toro at Nobu not so special. Basically, nothing I liked about Nobu. I was very disappointed .

This is our second visit to a Nobu (previous location was in Las Vegas) and once again, it didn't disappoint. I love that there are local specialties in addition to some common menu items. We tried the salmon, cilantro dish which we had previously had and again, it was melt-in-your mouth delicious. Our server, as in the previous Nobu, gave us some great recommendations that we tried out, specifically an oven-baked (I think) bass dish that was also fantastic. And once again, the staff made the dessert a nice birthday dish for my wife. Nobu is on our list of go-tos now whenever we're in town that has one. Thanks, Nobu!
