Diner Reviews
  • "The menu was less inspired than my local sushi takeout place in New York. The rolls were standard rolls you'd get in any Sushi restaurant and the execution mediocre at best. On the rolls, the rice was fridge-temp cold and on the spicy tuna roll, the sauce was barely there. The shrimp tempura was more greasy than crunchy. My martini was too warm and my friend's margarita too sweet. On the other hand, the service was friendly and attentive. The best bites were the $10+/piece bite size tacos, and the mochi for dessert. Nobu, what happened to you? I'd say you had an off night except that the disappointment started wih the lack of creativity on the menu itself."

  • "I've been to the LA Nobu twice and loved it. Decided to try their Las Vegas location to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were both blown away. The experience was one that will be hard to top."

  • "Waiter asked us if we wanted him to arrange menu. I said please not stupid expensive. We never saw a menu and he racked up a $380 bill with only TWO glasses of wine. food was great but ambiance was busy at our small table. Ten feet away was a loud batchelor party. So ambiance was less than pleasant and waiter ignored my request and charged the hell out of us. I would have wanted a long quiet meal to spend that money for 2 people. Food was great but overall effect was disappointment. Don't order without the menu."

  • "We did the chefs tasting menu. Normally, we do not like to do those, but figured we would give it a try. It was excellent. Gives you a nice taste of some of Nobu's best dishes. I highly recommend this place for good food and great service."

  • "The food of the restaurant was really good, i really recommend black cod miso! Unfortunately the service was a little bit bad when the restaurant was full! I still very recommend this restaurant, i will come back again in next time."

  • "Nobu is always a must when I stay in Vegas .... Delicious freshly prepared gems .... Edamame beans ...then creamy spicy prawns and vegetable tempura ... So perfectly fried there is barely any excess oil ....delicious! Coupled with a chilled bottle of Sancerre ....lovely! The waiting staff friendly but a lot of obviously learnt patter that grates a little! However overall a great meal! Reliable, as ever."

  • "I visited with a Groupon and had 5 course specialty it was worth the money and worth going back and paying full price. Good way to try several dishes. Also bought a cookbook so can hopefully make some of the dishes."

  • "Our server, Dan, was on top of everything. He was very friendly and accommodating. The food was outstanding! I am not a huge sushi fan, but my wife loves it and we've always wanted to try Nobu. The first 2 courses were sushi while the second two were fired shrimp and seared cod. Despite my general lack of interest in sushi I truly loved all the options presented to us. They topped it off with a dessert plate that was awesome. I especially like the Nobu "cappuccino" which was a tiramsu with a santori whiskey foam. WOW! I will have to go back to Nobu just for that dessert. So excellent. I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Nobu Sushi at the Hard Rock hotel in Las Vegas."

  • "Great restruant and great service. The sushi itself was good but probably no better or no worse than anywhere else. However the other items are top notch. The waiters try and push a tasting menu which is $125 per person plus drinks. They can also create one for you at a different budget. I do recommend the tasting menu because it has a wide variety of great items - just expect to pay, $200 per person is not unrealistic by the time you walk out. If you are looking for a high end Japanesse style food that is hip and a hot spot this is the place."

  • "Perhaps it was high expectations but even without them I would have been very disappointed with this place. The sushi was no better than what I could have had in my hometown. The service was good but the food lacked flavor. Even the wasabi had no kick to it. The lobster roll was recommended to me and it was bland. Absolutely nothing special about it. I would highly recommend Morimoto's in Napa, CA. It is a thousand times better and costs about the same."

  • "Once again I was extremely pleased with the quality of food and service at this restaurant. I never miss it when visiting Vegas, and it remains one of the few restaurants that I can say has never disappointed. Be sure to try the Black Miso Cod, the Sushi, and King Crab Tempura."

  • "One of the best meals I have ever had. We had the chef put together a course for us. We indicated before hand that we like a more sashimi style. The yellow tail with jalapeño was our favorite. The wagyu beef was great and an awesome experience. Beef is served uncooked with heating stones. One the best experiences ever but be ready to drop some serious cash."

  • "It's hard to find fresh seafood/sushi in the desert, but Nobu has done exactly that. Great meal, with fantastic flavors to excite the senses."

  • "The best of a Japanese Sushi restaurant fused with traditional Peruvian flavors. The Kobe melted in your mouth with traditional anticuchos sauce and the yellowtail tuna with cilantro an jalapeño in a unique ponzu were an unexpected combo of flavors."

  • "My friends and I were visiting Las Vegas for a birthday celebration. The staff was friendly and accomodating when notified that our party of 9 would arrive 30 minutes late for our 6:30pm reservation. We were scheduled to attend a concert at 8pm in the hotel. The server was friendly, and the kitchen brought our food out quickly. They even remembered to bring the brthday girls mochi for their bday!"

  • "I felt it was overpriced....there are by far better restaurants in LasVegas for the money. For 2 people, the chef's selection which is a taste of a bit of everything is $100 a person. We do not drink so I can only imagine how expensive it would have been if alcohol was included!!! Yikes! The reason we dined at Nobu's we were going to a concert at the Hard Rock. Been there, done that."

  • "The edamame was a little too under cook for me. The sliced hamachi with jalepeno was really good, fresh & excellent quality like their nigiri assortment platter for the signature tasting menu. The creamy rock shrimp was good on top of the arugula. The miso glazed black cod was soft and melted like butter. The cappuccino with whiskey foam on top was a good dessert to end the course."

  • "We were seated in the lounge area because I accidentally made the reservation for the night before. It turned out to be a great experience. The lounge was relaxing and very cozy. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and I saw the Groupon and have always wanted to try Nobu. I was afraid that we would be treated differently with the Groupon but everyone from the hostess to the manager to the wait staff was extremely warm and friendly. We ordered a few cocktails and ordered an additional course to add to the Groupon pre-set menu. Everything was delicious. We will be back!"

  • "I found a groupon for $95 for 2 people for the signature tasting menu, and while I was embarrassed to go to dinner there with a groupon, that feeling quickly went away when the manager scanned my phone for the groupon, and the waitstaff new exactly how to handle it...come to find out, mostly everyone else was using a groupon too. The food is to die for b/w the jalepeno yellowtail, shrimp tempura, and miso cod, this chef has ruined me for all future sushi excursions! the waiter recommended a crisp white wine that pairs beautifully with the menu, and it was delish! We finished with a phenomenal dessert that I won't give away, but well worth the wait! Adore this place.. much more chill than the caesars palace location!"

  • "We used a groupon for a tasting menu and while the food was very good, it was nothing remarkable. Of note, however, was the black cod and the dessert trio. Both were outstanding. Service was very good and loved the ambience."

  • "Both the food quality and service are superb, but it is sorely lacking in ambiance. The music blares, nothing in the restaurant absorbs any noise, it has a frantic atmosphere. We expected it to be expensive which it is but were surprised at the reasonable cost of beers and tea. Not sure if we would return as there are many other high end sushi bars in Las Vegas that do not subject people to all this noise."

  • "I truly enjoyed Nobu I will visit again. I visited from Houston and they exceeded my expectations"
    Dined on 7/9/2014
  • "While the ambiance is perfect for a date night, be prepared to spend a lot of money for a little bit of food. We decided to order just sushi as we did not want to spend $125/person for the chef's tasting menu...which they push as something "most other diners do." The sushi cuts were fresh, but very small for the price you pay. Service was excellent, and we never had to ask for anything extra. Overall, I would say this was a one and done for us due to the cost."

  • "Fan of Nobu Matshuhisa's various properties and the Hard Rock location is no exception. Finally had an opportunity to have true Japanese A5 Wagyu and it was amazing. Nothing more to be said. Special mention to Misty for exceptional service."

  • "Most high end restaurants in Las Vegas are a poor imitation of their originals. Nobu is an exception. The food was spectacular, creative, fresh, beautiful. Our server could not have been more gracious and knowledgeable. All in all, it was a wonderful and romantic evening. I'll go to Michael Mina in San Francisco, Bouchon in Napa and Emerils in New Orleans and not waste my time and money on the Vegas version of these. Nobu, will always be a must."
    Dined on 7/4/2014
  • "It was pricey enough that we probably won't be regulars, but we will recommend it to others to try for sure. The recommendations by the chef were excellent and the service was very nice."
    Dined on 7/3/2014
  • "We had the highest expectations yet they were surpassed. Our waitress offered us options: order from the menu, go through the 8-course option of signature dishes or for us to name a price point and answer a few of her questions so that she could customize the meal for us. Every item was great! We were full but not bloated (a common event when I dine in Vegas). I recommend the customized meal option. I never realized how great it was not to have to choose an item or too off the menu: the pressure is off! We were never rushed but soon after we finished each course, one person would clear, another would tidy up as needed and the next course would be on its way to us. the waitress checked in after every course but not in an intrusive way."

  • "Wagyu beef, tuna belly - melt-in-your-mouth utterly fantastic. Excellent sushi/sashimi; fresh and perfectly cut. Service was outstanding!"
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "All Nobu's are good, but this one is always one of the best!! Ditch the menu and tell them to just bring you their favorite dishes. Dinners are expensive but worth every $100 (I'd say penny but I did say expensive)."
    Dined on 6/26/2014
  • "The food was excellent; totally fresh and imaginatively prepared. The service was the highlight for me: knowledgable, friendly and efficient. It was very expensive, but you already know that, right? It was EXTREMELY noisy; more like a bar than a restaurant. Demographic skews younger. I have been told that there is another Nobu in Caesar's Palace which is much quieter. Our party of four did have a great meal and a good dining experience, however."
