  • "The best restaurant my wife and I have been to. Unequaled food, service, and attention to detail. The food is also unique and it is an extremely enjoyable experience. A must go when in the area. We went three times in four nights. Different wait staff each time but equally great."

  • "During my stay on Lana'i, I knew I would love to splurge for just one night at a fancy restaurant. From all that I had seen and heard, Nobu's seemed like a good place to go, but I left feeling rather disappointed. While the atmosphere and scenery was great, I wish that they would not rely on that so much, because I felt that I paid way too much for food that I know I could find cheaper somewhere else, or better yet, make myself. I also felt cheated because my server failed to mention that the bottle of Voss water I asked for would cost me $9; I know I should have asked for the price myself but wow, what a rip off. I basically felt this place was an almost $100 mistake, and I really expected better from such a high-end place."

  • "Understandably, when dining here, you're likely to be staying at one of the two Four Seasons resorts. You should already have high expectations. They are met. A lot of five-star dining establishments are likely to be given that rating based on the quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the attention to detail. This restaurant is no different in that regard. However, it has one thing many five-stars won't: An amazing view. Perhaps that falls under atmosphere, but how many five-stars in Manhattan can claim the same? As can be expected the table staff are knowledgeable. They share duties with enthusiasm. They are gracious and grateful. If the other Nobu restaurants are anything like this one it will be well worth the treat to yourself."

  • "We are never disappointed when dining at Nobu. Always fresh, in fact the majority of the greens came from local farms. Creative entrees."

  • "Apparently, the restaurant was in renov'? We were sat outside in the main terrace area-althoug we had an awesome view. Our service by "Blake" was excellent, he was very thorough and informative but not in your face. Our favorite and a must to try is the Hamachi Tiradito style sashimi ...excellent! Blake also made our "birthday celebration" noted on our dessert ( Banana/ caramel with croutons)very courtious of him. Overall, a must place to dine for foodies who appreciates fresh raw fish, Japanese Peruvian fusion style. "

  • "love nobu! wish i could dine here more often. nobu on lanai is very special. waikiki nobu is nice but nothing compares to what lanai nobu has to offer. nothing like what we expected. menu selections and server descriptions turned out heavenly oral sensations. service outstanding as it should be but not intrusive. selections out of this world. flavors to die for. unexpected combinations. a very pleasant surprise in one of my favorite places, the island of lanai."

  • "I felt like I was eating in the hotel lobby. When I asked to me moved to the outdoor space, the host stated we could not and she would move us once a table was open. However, we were there for over three hours and she never moved us. The food was great, but it would have been much better to have a more pleasant environment. We went to the restaurant for my birthday and it was good food and we loved our waiter, but the hostess and the table in the lobby spoiled things."

  • "Food was good, but the value is horrible. Next time I'd rather support local places than a celebrity chef."

  • "Loved the spinach salad and this place has so many interesting dishes and dining options! Of course the view of Manele Bay and the Pacific doesn't hurt either!"

  • "Ambiance, staff, food, everything was wonderful. Normally, the restaurant would be in the leeward side of the building, so not windy. It was "Kona" winds (from the opposite direction from normal), so a bit windy, but still a beautiful spot. They could have turned off the fans to help with the wind since was not needed. The food was excellent, however, the ceviche was a bit lean on the fish (only 3 pieces of octopus...that was it, no fish as represented)...but it was still delicious. Would definitely recommend to all who visit Lanai!"

  • "The food preparation and presentation at Nobu is always wonderful. And at this Nobu, there are great views of the ocean in an open air setting of Manele Bay at Lanai. The only thing That was a minor problem is the "over-attentiveness" of the wait staff. They seem to be there constantly picking up plates, filling water, etc. It sounds like a weird thing to complain about, but you can feel them hovering waiting for some way to clean the table. You can hardly have a conversation w/out stopping as arms come by to pick up plates, bowls, and utensils. A small problem, but bothersome. Otherwise the dining and food at Nobu was terrific as usual."

  • "Having had incredible experiences at other Nobu locations, where you can't wait for the next dish to come out, we were seriously disappointed with our meal. Our first two dishes were very good, including a black cod in Miso and another sashimi dish that had incredible spices, but were followed by just so-so sushi (one the specialty of the house!) and even the local poke trio (unique to Lanai) was just okay. We really expected this to be a highlight of our stay, and other guests we spoke with shared our disappointment. Cannot recommend at the prices charged."

  • "Although pricey the food was outstanding. However most food in the island is so really a good value for the money. The yellowtail with jalapeño sashimi was out of this world as was the salmon roll and the fish and chips"

  • "Nobu in Lanai was spectacular! The food was great as was the service staff and the ambience of the place. We had a table on the veranda area with a spectacular view of the pool and ocean while eating. The presentation of the meal was wonderful and the wait staff were extremely knowledgable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a special night out in Lanai."
