The service was friendly and prompt. All in all I am looking forward to returning to Noah's in the near future.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMNot so small plates.....Had a brilliant evening at Noah's - loved every aspect and keen to revisit next time we are on Long Island. The place is buzzing and eating here is fun. We decided to try a selection of small plates but assumed they would be European size tapas plates.....and so definitely overordered with 6-7 plates for two. But we got a great variety. Stand outs for us were the white shrimp, the sauted brussels sprouts, the port belly pot stickers and the pulled duck with polenta (which tasted so much better than it looked!), A real find. The people of the Norfh Fork are very fortunate. Only slight negative - wait staff have to work very hard (we were there on a Thursday so perhaps it is a quieter night usually?) and one or two more staff would be good.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Dining Experience in a WhileTHIS PLACE ROCKS! Enjoyed it so much we came back for seconds the next night. We decided to go with the "Taste" & "Small Plates" side of the menu.
We shared 6 plates plates each night doubling up only on the Truffle Gougeres (Cheese Puffs). All plates were excellent. Exciting / interesting dining where you can't go wrong. The dining room is electric yet - somehow - we could comfortably hear each other (great acoustics). This time I brought 2 diners who were doubters due to not being fish lovers and, somewhat put off by the menu layout. We are glad to see the expansion into the space next door. The cocktails are interesting and delicious - especially the ginger cocktail. Favorite tastes are the almonds, olives and roasted garlic. The Brussels sprouts small plate is awesome, as is the hummus, tempura, calamari, etc. SO many fabulous choices. The small plate menu has something for everyone, and the portions are generous. Perfect place for a fun dinner for two or to please a small dinner party.
