No. VI ChophouseGreat Service Good FoodThe service was fantastic, the booths are comfortable and over all it has a great feel. The food however was not to the level you would expect at a high end restraunt. It was certainly good just not excellent.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMExceptional dining experience! My family had a special request and it was accommodated. Fabulous & romantic evening. We'll be back!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMDisappointing EveningI was looking forward to excellent food. I was there for my son's 11th birthday (yes, he was the one who wanted a porterhouse steak) and we brought in a DQ ice cream cake for dessert.
The steaks were disappointing. My father commented that the fillet at Outback was more tender. My bone-in Ribeye was well seasoned but overcooked. The sides were not very good. The asparagus was served with a clump of (cheese? sauce?) and was bland. The skin of the baked potatoes had some seasoning that made it almost inedible. To top it off, despite spending over $250, I was charged $10 for the privilege of serving cake. Really?4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was excellent. WaitFood was excellent. The ambiance was romantic and relaxing. The service was outstanding; Mark was our server and he was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable about everything. We asked him about two wines and we ended up getting his suggestion, which was lovely. The food was incredible, just amazing. For starters, we had the tuna tartare; it was exceptional. For dinner, I had the filet and my date had the NY strip; both were very delicious and cooked to perfection. We ordered the black truffle risotto, which was equally good. After dinner, we each got an espresso, which was the perfect ending to a perfect meal. The whole experience was wonderful and I will definitely be back.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and serviceMy husband and I celebrated my birthday which happened to fall on a Monday night so it was relatively quiet -- I'm sure the atmosphere is much different on a weekend evening.
I ordered an 8 oz. Filet prepared medium = Steak Au Poivre (Rubbed with Cracked Telicherry Black Pepper,
Pan Roasted with Martell Cognac & Porcini Mushrooms ) along with a side of sea scallops. The side of black truffled risotto was so good I could have made a meal of that alone.
The entire entree was excellent.
My husband had the Pan Roasted Sea Scallops (Roasted Butternut Squash Risotto, Prosciutto, Black Truffle) which was also excellent.
The menu was pricey but both the food and service were superb ($150+) -- I would definitely go back to this restaur4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food Excellent service.Excellent food Excellent service. The steaks just melt in your mouth. I recommend this restaurant to everyone. Brent was our server, and just to hear him describe the menu just made you want to order everything!!! His service was impeccable!!!!! He made the whole dining experience world-class for us.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience for special occasiI thought the food was great except on of the sides. We ordered the fried brussel sprouts. iI thought there was way too mush balsamic vinegar in the dish. I love balsamic vinegar but it was over powering for me. I would change the dish by roasting the sprouts and lightly drizzling the sprouts with the vinegar. Still top with the goat cheese.
Two of us ordered the filet with a bernaise and king crab topper. Very good. I would get again. My.daughter shared the porterhouse and beef Wellington. She liked the porterhouse more.
All of us had excellent bread and salads. Wedge excellent, Caesar excellent and spinach excellent4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMVery surprising atmosphere.Very surprising atmosphere. Could not understand however why we were not able to get a 6:00 reservation when the restaurant was practically empty when we arrived at 6.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMvery good place..smells like a poolvery good experience but just one thing....the whole place smells like chlorine..Like the pool next door, no kidding. I'm am not sure how to fix it but I would have an HVAC guy look into it ..maybe an air exchange with the outside because it really takes away from what is otherwise a very nice restaurant3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had been to the ChophouseWe had been to the Chophouse several years ago. It was coming close to our anniversary so we decided to go again. We are very glad we did and will visit again and it will not be that long down the road either.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Place!!My Steak was over cooked the first time and rare the second time. I understand these things happen when you order steaks, as well as the management acknowledged and rectified it without me even asking...now thats service!!!
