"Parking was horrible!!! I made reservations and was told my party had to wait. My husband pointed out the empty table for four and they said,"oh yes you can sit there." it was 1pm and only had breakfast!! we would have to wait another 30min for the lunch menu. My niece ordered the mac pancakes and she said it was okay. I ordered the Loco Moco and was disappointed!! I'm from hawaii and that was no where near a Loco Moco. There wasn't even a patty!!! My husband ordered eggs benedict and wasn't thrilled either."

"Service was really slow even though there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant. The food was really good though! Because we were with a group, we kept ourselves entertained and weren't too bothered that it took a little while for everything to come out. Overall, it was a good experience and good food so I'd recommend it."

"Outdoor dining is available, but we chose indoor this time (our first). We ordered off the OC Restaurant week menu, and all courses were excellent! Service was a little slow, but very friendly and competent. The restaurant has a casual ambience. Good for couples or small groups."

"Went for a Valentine's lunch. One waitress working for indoor and outdoor customers, kitchen staff helping serve. We waited AWHILE just for salads, when the entrees finally arrived they were not so good. The chicken piccata was eggy( tasted like I was eating scammbled eggs) and the linguini was watery, no flavor at all. My companions dinner was no better, the steak.... well, and risotto was watery and tasteless as well. As bad as the food was I decided to order dessert and take it home,HORRIBLE! I was very excited to read the reviews and try a new restaurant on Main Street. NEVER again, I'll stick with what I know DUKE'S never had a bad meal and more then enough staff."

"i made a reservation for outside on the patio. instead of being in the front on main street, we got stuck in the back outside patio. no one was there and the service forgot us off and on. would have been much happier out front."

"The service was good we arrived and 10 minutes later the city power went out they did an excellent job luck for us we had our drink and our food order was in we were the only and last to get served our dinner because there was no power. We eat under candle light and although we couldn't see our food it was good."

"We carbo-loaded here the night before the Surf City Marathon. It was pretty crowded, but because we'd made a reservation, we were seated right away in their back patio (we'd asked for the quietest place, since the inside seating area was pretty loud. Our server was wonderful and very attentive, in spite of the crowd. For me, the big standard of a good dining experience is to never have an empty glass - and I drink a LOT (or water and tea, that is!). At No Ka Oi, our server not only brought constant refills, but she also brought glasses full of ice to replenish our glasses. Loved her!!!
Chicken piccata - really good. Blackened mahi - somewhat overcooked. Mushroom raviloi - good, but not enough carbs to properly load!"
