NIOSExcellent Restaurant in Our Hotel! The Scene: Visting New York City, staying at the Muse Hotel on 46th Street; 6pm; Raining; Had show tix for a theater on 45th Street; Pressed for time; Hotel has a restaurant called "Nios"; Hotel restauarant? Did I mention we wre pressed for time and it wa raining? So we tried Nios - the service was prompt and the food was excellent - I mean excellent; We had eaten dinner the previous two evenings in two of the best, most expensive restaurants the City has to offer. The food at Nios was just as tasty and carefully prepared as we had been treated to the two previous evenings (at, I may add about one-third of the cost). Way to go, Nios!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMNios on 46thEnjoyed a great meal at Nios ! Food and service was outstanding ! You won' be disappointed !5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMMy mom and I were in NYC forMy mom and I were in NYC for a getaway and had great meals leading up to Nios. We wanted something close to the hotel and found Nios, with pretty low expectations. We were really pleasantly surprised. I had a nice Rose and my mom had a great dirty martini. We sat at the bar; bartender was attentive. We had a flatbread, the turkey club and goat cheese and beet salad. We really, really enjoyed everything (I'm picky!). It was simple, tasty and nice portions.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMThe goto for pre- theater lunchAlways delicious and convenient. Had corn soup which was delicious and a club sandwich with a glass of wine.Power lunch for $25.00 and and added sorbet which we shared. Out in an hour and 15. Have been before and will go again.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMHigh Quality - One of My FavoritesI love bringing friends to Nios, especially if it their first time. Our group was split on Saturday evening: four newbies, and three former customers. The table was not one long table for the seven of us - it was set up as a square so we could all speak with each other.
The prefixe menu was wonderful and there was something for everyone, no matter what their dietary needs.
EVERYONE was happy with everything. Our beverage glasses were always filled, and the waiters were knowledgeable about every detail on the menu. All of our meals were heavenly - no one had any leftovers! We all loved our appetizers, entrees, and the desserts.
I look forward to returning again and again.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMA splendid timeWe had a splendid time at NIOS. The food was very good. The service -- thanks to Victor, our exceptionally charming waiter -- was exceptional. As we had an 8pm reservation, the pre-theater crowd has left. So the restaurant was delightfully noise-free. (Not sure what it would be like when full...). We will go back!4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect for Pre-Concert Meal/FunFirst time at Nios, before the Leonard Cohen concert at Radio City. Got there on a Saturday before the Saturday night crowd but had an extremely pleasant experience in every way. Service was good to begin with but the Manager (Nick) made sure at every turn that things were proceeding to our (party of 3) satisfaction.
Food was good--a 3 course fixed price menu--but could have used a bit more quantity. Appetizer (Soup)/Entree/Dessert were tasty.
Can't quite give it a great except for service. I can say for sure we'd like to get back there some day.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food is exceptional here. The food is exceptional here. Service was superb. Would definitely eat at this restaurant again, even if I don't stay at the Muse.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Pre theater findThe seafood appetizer was outstanding. Te salmon entree as well as the risotto were equally excellent. We were all pleasantly surprised at this great find so close to all the broadway theater. We will definitely return to sample the rest of the menu.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMStaaf were accomodating toStaaf were accomodating to speacialist dish required.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWas here with 2 friends forWas here with 2 friends for dinner prior to going to the theatre. We all enjoyed our entrees and my organic greens salad was just right. We were seated in the back room and the front and bar area was a bit noisy with the St. Pat's celebrants. My only disappointment was the glass of Chardonnay at $14. It had nothing to it. I wouldn't have it again for $2. That vineyard and year should be eliminated from their list. Nios is part of the Muse Hotel and in the theatre district so it's quite convenient.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMVery nice breakfast. ReasonableVery nice breakfast. Reasonable price for quality of food and service. Would definitely eat at Nios again!1/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
