A word from Nino's - Atlanta
Nino's, opened in 1968, has been owned and operated by Antonio Noviello since 1982. Originally from the Amalfi Coast of southern Italy, Antonio worked in Monte Carlo, then Bermuda where he met his wife Helen, an Atlanta resident. After moving to Atlanta in 1981, Antonio's life-long dream of owning his own restaurant became a reality when he purchased Nino's. For more than twenty years, Antonio has taken pride in serving authentic Italian Cuisine made with fresh, imported ingredients and cooked to order for each guest. His reputation for serving exceptional Italian cuisine has attracted devoted locals who return time and again, along with a long list of celebrities (see below) who had heard of Nino's reputation and stopped in to sample the fare. Many of the dishes on Nino's menu are original recipes brought from Italy by Antonio and his brother Giuseppe. Antonio invites you to relax and savor some of the great culinary treasures of Italy in a memorable dining experience.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "A wonderful standby when you are looking for good Italian cuisine. They can easily accommodate a large party or furnish a comfortable booth for two. An old family Italian restaurant who has welcomed us in so many years that we now feel like part of the family! Saturday night I had one of their specials, a seafood ravioli with a lobster/crab cream sauce. It was amazing. Also one of the best places to have escargot. Never tough and so delicious. Use your bread to pick up the flavorful butter and (brandy?) sauce they are cooked in! Enjoy!"

  • "The dinner was very tasty, and the menu options were plentiful. We inadvertently thought the restaurant opened at 5:00 pm, showing up about 5:10ish for our 5:30 pm reservation, and the wait staff was very gracious in letting us sit at the bar, even accommodating our 4 year old with plenty of maraschino cherries until the kitchen was officially open. The ambience was very pleasant, albeit rather empty given the early hour. The service was very timely and competent. Overall, it was a delightful and satisfying experience."

  • "The menu is large enough for everyone to find something but not too large that dishes are not meaningful. There is free self parking available. The service is very good and everyone is eager to do whatever it takes to make your meal perfect."

  • "This is the perfect Italian comfort food place, with a welcoming, efficient staff and delicious, consistent cuisine. Parking is easy, and it is always full of happy neighborhood diners."

  • "I have eaten at ninos once before and really liked the food and service. This last visit was a disappointment. We tried to order an appetizer with our beverages when we sat down and our Waiter told us that chef highly recommend we order everything at once so the timing of our meal was in sync. That was a first for me seeing that we waited over an hour and fifteen minutes to get out entree after we ordered. The calamari was tasteless and we had to salt it ourself. Veal was overcooked. Salads were prepared nicely."

  • "Nino's has been around in Atlanta for years. The food is fabulous, the service was very good and truly joyful. The waiter knew the menu and could answer the questions. The brick walls and cozy surrounds reminded me a few Italian restaurants the I had experienced in Chicago and New York. I would recommend to friends...."

  • "Very good caprese salad, the gnocchi and saltimbocca were great, not a fan of the angel hair. But overall a great first experience and will be back for more."

  • "I have been dining at this great locally owned Family restaurant for 25+ years. Always good."

  • "My husband and I went for a date night before a big run. Nothing was very good. The mussels were not very flavorful. We each ordered a different veal dish. The veal was very dry in both and therefore the dish was not good. We had recommendations from friends, and maybe it was just an off night, but I don't think we will be returning."

  • "I've been to Nino's a few times, and each time both meals and the service have been great! The reason for 4/5 stars is that the portions seem repetitively small compared to the typical Italian restaurant, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I do wish the veal cutlets would have been a little thicker along with the eggplant, but I will definitely go back and recommend to anyone."

  • "Food was delicious but service was a little on the slow side. I give them a pass on that as it was Valentine's Weekend and the place was SLAMMED. With the crowd inside, and waiting I was impressed with the attention we received from our server."

  • "Went the day after valentines, and it was packed, but the way they did food, filling drinks, and appetizers, you wouldn't have noticed. The food was delicious, portions were a little small, but my appetizer helped fill me up. We had gnocchi and fettuccini which were both delicious! Food was fresh, and we had a booth which helped keep things quieted with the amount of ppl at the restaurant."

  • "Took my girlfriend to Nino's for Valentine's Day. The restaurant had a nice look to it and felt romantic and cozy. Our waiter was spacy and did not pay attention to drink details. I requested a scotch on the rocks with light ice. The drink I received was a glass full of ice with an adequate amount of scotch. The food was timely. The Caesar salad was a disappointment, but the beef Carpaccio was pleasant. I had the Lobster fra Diavalo which was phenomenal. My girlfriend had a lasagna, which she really enjoyed. Enjoyable experience, but nothing otherworldly."

  • "My daughter and I went to Nino's for Valentine's Day dinner. The only reason I chose the restaurant is because they had an available workable reservation time and it's Italian (which is my daughter's and mine favorite cuisine). Unfortunately, the restaurant did not meet my expectations. My waiter was nice enough but I have grown accustomed to a very high level of service that I just didn't receive. The food portions were much smaller than I am used to. I have been to many Italian restaurants and the portion sizes are always above average. Fortunately, the food tasted good and the wine was great! I would not consider eating at this restaurant again (at least not for a special occasion)."

  • "This was the first time we tried this established Italian restaurant, so we thought we would give it a try on Valentine's Day. Service was very attentive, but the food was slightly disappointing. We expected stronger spices and flavors, but my "fresh" grouper was just okay, not outstanding. Even my husband's shrimp scampi was not as flavorful with garlic as we've had at other restaurants. We split a flourless chocolate cake with a raspberry topping, in which I expected fresh raspberries, but it was only a sauce on top of a dry cake. All in all a relatively good experience but not what we expected."

  • "After hearing all the good things, we must of caught them on there worst night ever. While our service was good, everyone around us had horrible service. It was the day after Valentine's Days, so it was packed, but still. Food was good, but did not live up to expectations. We even saw a couple leave after waiting 15 minutes. Rough night, I suppose...."

  • "This was our first visit to Nino's; it was recommended by a friend. Parking is limited. The service was excellent and the food was very good. We were expecting a slightly more formal environment, but that is not the case."

  • "Even though Nino's has been here forever as have I this is my visit and I really liked it. The veal special was different (artichoke hearts and sun-dried tomatoes) and very good and the julienne vegie side was excellent as was the house salad. The bruschetta was also very good. We ate very early (6:00) so the restaurant was not very crowded and I'm not sure how good the service would be with a crowd but it was very good for us. My sister never had an empty coke glass and that's her main service criteria."

  • "This was the first time I had been back to this restaurant in YEARS and much to my surprise, the atmosphere was quite similar to my memories. The food is not knock-your-socks-off gourmet Italian, but good, traditional, well-prepared from first to last course. The service is excellent AND they offered nightly specials which I found delicious...but simple. Simple is good! Give it a try!!"

  • "Since finding Nino's several years ago through a Scoutmob, I have returned many times since. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere is busy but still romantic. Always make a reservation when going to Nino's because the restaurant is small and they are always busy. Try the gnocchi.... It's the best. :)"

  • "My husband and I love this Nino's, its one of our favorite date night places. The atmosphere is romantic, reminds us of our vacations to Italy, and the food is always delicious. We had friends in town and wanted a great spot for the 6 of us to enjoy dinner--loud enough for us to talk, but still energetic enough to feel like a fun night out. Nino's is a perfect spot for both date nights AND dinner out with friends. THanks!"

  • "We had our "usual" -- the veal piccata -- and it impressed as always. Worth the trip just for that."

  • "We had a great family dinner here. EXCELLENT Italian food that could run with the pack in Philly, although the spaghetti that accompanies the meat dishes is strangely unimpressive. Portions are just right. Extremely friendly service. Dad forgot a nice leather cap, and they held onto it for us. Be sure to bring your own sippy cups for any children - they only have glass."

  • "Nino's has been around for decades and the food, while unremarkable, is consistently good. We chose vegetarian dishes (both with eggplant) and while we enjoyed them they were overpriced. The bruschetta was tasty and the warm bread delicious. The wine list gives ample variety at reasonable costs. Service was adequate and friendly but not overly attentive. It was nice to go back but it will be awhile before we return."

  • "Food is always very tasty and you get a very friendly and well attended to dining experience. This appears to be a family owned restaurant and the you can taste the love in the food."

  • "It has been several years since we have been to Nino's, but we will be back very soon. The food is outstanding. Fresh, fresh fish. Quality ingredients. We arrived to a packed parking lot (a good sign!) and only 1 table open in the restaurant (our reserved table). Their signature caesar salad was so-so, the bread was okay. But the entrees were exceptional. We had the salmon, it was prepared exactly as we ordered at medium rare (so many Atlanta restaurants over cook medium-rare salmon), and my was it fresh. The eggplant parmesan was layered with sliced thin, no breading, eggplant. Delicious. The side of meatballs was incredible....the meat bursting with flavor and an earthy but rich tomato sauce that had to have been slow cooked for hours."

  • "A terrific neighborhood Italian restaurant that I wish was in my neighborhood. The food is always good and the eggplant parm is the best between here and New York. Service is friendly and professional. Even with a packed Christmas eve house (and we were a table of six), they didn't falter. And don't miss the marscapone cheesecake when available."
