A word from Ninety Acres
The Natirar Estate, a nearly 500-acre site atop the mountains of Peapack, is the home of Ninety Acres Culinary Center, which consists of a cooking and wine school, and a restaurant offering unique and exciting menus featuring produce and livestock fresh from the estate farm. The restaurant, along with our private party facilities, redefines what a quality dining experience can and should be. We offer an a la carte menu in our dining rooms, a light bar menu in our bar and lounge areas, and the "Bring Me Food" experience, our interpretation of the tasting menu concept, exclusively in our kitchen dining area. Diner Reviews
  • "Mediocre, overly ambitious food and clumsy service at very high prices. The drive up to the restaurant is gorgeous, but the restaurant itself is in an odd location with difficult (valet) parking. Much is made of organic and locavore, but that's no excuse for uninspired cuisine. Wine list is extensive with okay pricing. Overall, a bit of a disappointment, given the rep this place has."

  • "This restaurant is one of my favorites. Arrive before sunset to appreciate the setting and stay long enough to enjoy the fire pit on the back veranda under the night sky. The food is excellent and the ambience is perfect. "

  • "This was our first visit this year. The food did not disappoint, and we are major foodies, it was beautifully presented, delicious and nicely served by very friendly, knowledgeable servers. We were not rushed and really enjoyed the ambiance. We will go back to try the tasting menu, and the bar. Bartender made the best COSMO EVER! Maybe its me, but I still love when someone to greets us warmly greets us on arrival. We waited for someone to acknowledge us, even with up to 4 people at the desk. Hello? we are your guests. Since Ninety Acres is so nice, with beautiful upscale design, offering micro-experiences for very desirable types of dining, I just hope that good old warmth when your arrive, becomes part of the package. • "We decided to come up to Ninety Acres for a Sunday night dinner. We usually go all out with our menu choices, but this time we just had an appetizer and two pizzas. We were not disappointed! The pork belly pizza was delicious. While usually top notch, the service was a little off and we were left searching for our servers a few times. However, it certainly did not put a damper on the evening. We look forward to returning. "

  • "I've been here many times and have never been disappointed. Ninety Acres always keeps the menu interesting and seasonal and the ever so professional staff never misses a beat. I look forward to the next time :-)"

  • "I love Ninety Acres. Each time I'm there--whether it's for dinner, drinks on the patio, a bigger group at the farm table, or a weekend event, it never disappoints. They've brought tables to the farm where everything is as locally grown as 300 feet away from your table. Wonderful service with down to earth people who enjoy what they do. "

  • "Food was outstanding, some if the best ever. Service however lacked a personal touch though. The wine pairing with the 4 course fixed menu, was very limited quantity of fairly low cost wines, that didn't meet the same level of quality as the food."

  • "90 Acres was recommended to us by a family member. It was a very enjoyable dining experience. Our meal was delicious and the waiters and staff were extremely pleasant. Based on our first experience, I know there will be many more visits to come.."

  • "Great menu, terrific wine list, great execution, will definitely be back."

  • "The restaurant, the service, the food and the grounds were absolutely amazing. A few of my friends had told me about this restaurant over the past few years and on several ocassions I did check our their website and thought this is a place I would love to "experience". We reciecved a gift card several months ago and I pruposely waited for the warmer weather to arrive. I do wish that I had waited a bit more, to see the grounds in full bloom and have the ability to relax more outside. The drive on the grounds up to the restaurant is beautiful; II knew we were in for a treat. There are not enough characters for me to write everything, but the price fix with wine pairings was well worth the monies and another must... Cucumber martini!"

  • "Setting, food, service and ambiance all top notch. Chocolate chip cookies and vanilla milk capped off a wonderful meal."

  • "It was not our first time but we always feel like the dining experience we are having is designed just for us. Thanks once again to a very adept on staff sommelier we enjoyed a "wine experience". They offer a range of deliciousness from appetizer to dessert with a menu that has both perfectly prepared familiar plates and opportunities to expand your palette. A very attentive staff. While on the higher end of a dining opportunity it is truly a "dining experience". We look forward to our next reservation."

  • "After my firm hosted a client event at Niney Acres I said I had to see this for myself. Clients raved abour everything from the food to the incredible service. There is no better time to go to a special place than for a birthday dinner and that is exactly what me and my wonderful husband did. With expectations sort of in the middle we went and let me say this, the experience was off the charts!!! This fabulous venue has everything--- food, ambiance and superior service. Our experience was incredibly memorable and Ninety Acres will be our go to choice for many special occasions to come."

  • "Ala carte or Bring Me Food. After researching some reviews we decided to do BMF. We arrived early and sat at the bar and had cocktails. I have the Farm Fresh speciality drink. Infused cucumber vodka!! Fresh and wonderful. Wine by the glass for my boyfriend. We were then seated for dinner. My boyfriend chose a different fish and they accommodated his request without hesitation. Portions were small, which to me was fine. We both thought we had enough food. The presentation of each course was beautiful. I like to eat food in ways I can not do on my own. I was excited for every course. The evening ended with cheese and dessert. Let's just say, I was smiling from ear to ear. Great company and great food. We both agreed we will be back."

  • "Our party of five were all very pleased with the food, service and drinks. The service was very attentive and well coordinated - particularly given the number of people supporting our table, must have been 5 or 6 at least. The food was well prepared, tasty and innovative compared to your typical high-end steak or seafood restaurant. They also have innovative to choose from a menu. Three of us who were dining had birthdays during the week. We shared just a few gifts and the staff, without a word from us, provided a little dessert for the birthday celebrants. Of note, I felt the entire cost of the dinner was quite reasonable for the all-around quality delivered."

  • "Service is good. Food was good but limited in quantity. Menu is limited. Not to the level of the cost."

  • "We are longtime lovers of this restaurant, but it has been going downhill for the last year. The food is still top notch in every instance. But the service drops another notch every time we visit. This time, the # 2 server did not understand enough English to properly order and deliver a very simple drink - Grey Goose and Cranberry. After two misfires, I hand carried the drink to the bartender to get a third and final correct version of it. The rest of the dinner service was just mediocre - not up to the standards we have been used to in the past. Management needs to take a look at how bad some of their new servers are."

  • "Food was just Ok. A bit on the salty side. Wait staff isn't up to par for this type of restaurant! Plates were taken away and the bus boy pressed the silverware into the food with his hands so he could easily stack the dishes!!!!!! Sommelier was wearing blue jeans and a sweater not in keeping with their dress code on their website. Third time dining here. Will not be back!"

  • "We came to celebrate a birthday and was not disappointed. The atmosphere was comfortable and sophicated. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was exceptional. The chef was more than accomadting with our requests. We started with the most delicious cocktails, the paprika rubbed octopus, and the meatball pizza. The beet salad was dressed perfectly. The scallops were sweet and tender, the short rib fell apart with a fork, and the rib eye was like butter. Dessert was no exception. The pretzel sundae was unlike any sundae, the carrot cake fritters were decedent, and the chocolate cream pie was incredible. Overall an unforgettable dinning experience."

  • "In a word, pretentious. Nice decor. Food is quite good, but a fine dining experience is not only about the food. Service is polite but aloof and plastic, devoid of any actual personality. Its as if the waiters are in training mode, instead of relaxing and relating to customers. The wine steward is annoying. Given the location, design, and menu I felt like I should love this place, but did not, and found myself wondering why we bothered."

  • "Ninety Acres restaurant Natirar nestled in the forest is a great venue for a special event or just a relaxing evening. The furnishings and atmosphere offer a soothing tranquil setting suitable for dining, conversing and unwinding. I look forward to eating outside during the warm weather months."

  • "The whole atmosphere was an enjoyable experience, from the moment we arrived until we left. Our group of 4 was all pleased. They acknowledged a birthday in at our table right away and also brought out a brownie lit with a candle after dinner during dessert time. Very clean, and scenic grounds."

  • "Great dinner. Our group of 4 shared a meatball pizza and a polenta with crispy pork to start. The polenta was the winner with a cake like texture. Dinners were 2 strip steaks, salmon and the scallops. All superb."

  • "There were 5 in our group and everyone selected something different on the menu. All 5 dishes were described as outstanding. It was a Saturday evening so I ordered the special "Prime Rib". I am skeptical to order this because of the fat ration in some nice restaurants. Ninety Acres got it right. Loved it. The side family dish we ordered was the mushrooms and onions. BEST EVER:)"

  • "The winding road up to Ninety Acres in itself is peacful, relaxing and sets the tone for a wonderful dinning experience. The service, menu, the wine list... made for a great dinner. Great place to dine with firends, family, date night, corporate dinner... I plan to go back soon."

  • "The place as you drive in really brought you a feeling of getting away and then when you arrive to a nice calming ambiance of the restaurant, it really allows you to get the feeling of getting away. The food was excellent from appetizers to meal to desert from all parties (4 total people). I was the only one who was vegetarian and I thought the website said the chef can prepare a plate for vegetarian or special diets. When they said the chef would pull a plate together for me, I said fine. I've done similar things in the past, but I didn't expect a plate of all side dishes put into a meal. Besides that, everyone else completed each dish ordered and without leaving a crumb. The ingredients used are great and you can taste the freshness."

  • "Have not visited for 3-4 years as getting a reservation is like having congress agree to anything, but the wait was worth it. Did the chefs table they out-did themselves. We will go back sooner this time"

  • "This was our first visit and we all thoroughly enjoyed all aspects. Food was great but even better was the service; attentive but not overly fussy or intrusive. Everyone was friendly and helpful. A special kudo to Brooke Sabel for her help with the wine which went well with all the diverse food but affordable and delicious. We expect to return soon."

  • "Had BMF/BMW (Bring Me Food/Bring Me Wine) back to back nights. Both times everything was excellent!. They changed the menu for us the second night knowing we were there the night before. Great mixology and bourbons at the bar including nice mocktails. We had a vegan with us and David and staff went out of their way to accommodate with wonderful dishes and a super special chocolate pie with nut crust vegan desert. Another guest had BMB (Bring Me Beer) which was wonderful with beers from around the world that worked perfectly with the food. The service is impeccable and the setting and ambiance can't be beat. Overall the most exciting dining venue in NJ."

  • "Hands down, one of the best dining experiences my husband and I have ever shared. The space is magical - from the architectural features to the lighting. The service from front desk, to bar staff, to servers was top notch - the sommelier was honest and not pushy about trying a more expensive bottle. The food was so delicious and there was no issue accommodating a request to hold the beef from one dish. It took us months to book a table on Sat. night at 8:30 - every aspect of our dinner there was worth the wait. It's a must try."

  • "Service is friendly and responsive. Food is the specialty here. Have tried it several times and enjoy ordering a la carte from the menu. The tasting menus seem to drag out, although the selections are delicious. The specialty drinks at the bar are unique and fun. Wine list is extensive, but a bit overpriced. Overall a wonderful experience."

  • "We had the 4 course pre-fixe at 90 acres and it was really fantastic. I am especially attuned to when restaurants have good pacing and portion sizes for multi course meals and this place was perfect -- the right amount of food so we could really experience all the courses spread out over a leisurely amount of time so we could chat and enjoy. Really excellent dishes. Can't speak to the wine list since I am pregnant and had to abstain, but my husband was please with his Pinot Noir recommended by the waiter. Was a lovely evening with excellent ambience -- highly recommend!"

  • "A perfect night out for my husbands birthday! We enjoyed drinks at the bar prior to dinner, which were delicious. The dinner menu had many options, and we both opted for the nights specials. Dessert and an after dinner scotch recommended by Mike, the Beverage Director, topped the night off perfectly. We can't wait to return."

  • "This was the 2nd time I've eaten dinner on the weekend. Both times were great. I did notice that the first time, I ate in the bar, which was nice. I took a look at the rest of the restaurant, and the room I ate in on Sunday, 3/2, was so very noisy. On 3/2, we ate at 4pm and the noise level was quiet. I don't think I could eat in that big room during primetime hours."

  • "Had another wonderful meal for a family member's birthday at Ninety Acres, there were 6 of us in total, including my 12 year old daughter. She didn't like the sauce on the salmon from the menu, so they made a special salmon dish just for her the way she likes it and I love that special service they provide. The ricotta cavetelli app was delightful, creamy yet not at all heavy and the special pizza of the day with pancetta was light and delish. A few of us had the scallops for the main course and they surprised us with a couple delicious short ribs on the plate. Our waiter was phenomenal, very knowledgeable about the menu and helped me pick a perfect white wine to complement my scallops. Going back at the end of the month! Cant wait"

  • "The main dining room was warm and cozy...the fireplace and the warm colors created a romantic and soothing atmosphere (almost as if entirely lit by candlelight). The food was delicious, although some of the bar choices were a bit odd...i.e., no Tangueray. Extremely high noise level, but not enough of a deterrent to keep me away long!"
