We had a delightful luncheon on the back patio overlooking the pool and a slice of the Pacific. With both opted for the fixed price lunch and were very pleased with both meals. they seemed a little understaffed, but that might have been due to the holiday. We look forward to returning!

There is nothing quite like walking into a restaurant and instantly knowing that your every wish will be accommodated and, in some cases, anticipated. This is how I feel every time I dine at Nine-Ten. The staff are both friendly and professional. But the food...the food is to die for! While my lunch this day consisted of only an entree, my partners-in-crime both indulged in the three course lunch. The sandwich I chose was delivered in simple elegance and I enjoyed every last bite of it. My wife and our friend absolutely loved their lunches too! I always recommend Nine-Ten to friends and colleagues and more than a few have thanked me for it. On a side note, don't ever stop the "Mercy of the Chef" dining experience. This is sheer perfection!

Consistently high-quality cooking. Reliable. High-quality ingredients, well-utilized. Very satisfying first and second courses. Worthwhile desserts, and I'm not even a dessert person. "Mercy of the Chef" is a special occasion treat, if you're willing to give up control of your menu. Downsides -- a bit noisy (but that's due to the other diners, not really the restaurant design), and you have to deal with the La Jolla crowds on the weekends. Net - our favourite food spot.

The food was ok. We ordered three cources. The first corse was outstanding. I had tuna tartar with crab and my wife had the crab and lobster salad and both were very good. The second cource was not good at all. I ordered lobster risoto and my wife ordered scallop ceviche. The scallop was a secondary component in the cevihe and was very uneven and the flavors were not in sync. My rissoto was undercooked and was I had to return it. The last cource we ordered duck and braised ribs. Both dishes were ok but nothing outstanding. The duck was cooked so much that there was no fat left under the skin. The braised ribs were well made but lacked any unique attirbutes. Overall service was ok. We had to wait about 25 minutes for third courc

It started out a little strange. We waited quite awhile in the hotel lobby for the restaurant to be ready to seat us. The maitre d' said they weren't ready. The demeanor of the maitre d' and the hotel staff, particularly the less than professional doormen, did not seem an appropriate prelude to such a nice restaurant. Once inside though, the waiter was great and one of the highlights was the little tastes that were provided to us "on the house." They were delicious and what makes 9-10 unique in my experience, from other upscale continental restaurants that use local and organic produce, like Pampelmousse Grill in Del Mar.

We enjoy wine and usually bring our own bottle, as we collect; we forgot to this time and were shocked at the prices on their wine list. On principle, we opted not to order a bottle. My husband ordered a Chimay beer, which he enjoyed and wanted another, and we were told that it was the last one-on Saturday night at 8 PM. We were disappointed to say the least. Nine Ten is usually one of our and most of our friend's favorite restaurants.

The price was gracious for the experience. It wasn't very busy for a Saturday, if you want to get noticed or have some hussle and bussle, you'll need to find another place.

We had a wonderful experience and Nine-Ten. Food ws great, as was the service. We asked to be seated at a table for four, although we were only 2, since we found the tables for 2 a bit close together. They willingly sat us at a nice table at the window. It was our anniversary and they very graciously comped us the dessert we selected. We'll be back.

We enjoyed our lunch for three very much. My only criticism would be that the "pomme frites" were actually just ordinary french fries. "Pomme Frites" should be very thin, as served in France. Kudos to both the door man and the valet attendant. They were both gracious and professional. This was my second visit to 910. We will be back.

This is my third trip to the restaurant and really love the menu and wine list both in a small, almost intimate setting yet very appropriate for a dinner meeting as well as a nice dinner with your significant other. This last visit, the kitchen was short-staffed and our entrees took seemingly forever. The server was very apologetic and sent us 2 more glasses of wine complements of the house to apologize which was very classy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant when dining in La Jolla and will be back for sure.

We had the Mercy of the Chef 5-Course Tasting menu. All courses were delicious. The flavors were wonderful and in some cases surprisingly delicious (i.e. tangerine and chocolate with swordfish). I really like that this restuarant offers the tasting menu and will prepare 2 different menus for a couple. The two of us actually get to taste 10 different items. The service was very good and the staff was very knowledgable about the food and wine being served.

This is our third time at Nine-ten and they must have had a bad night. Our food was uninspired and mediocre. We found the food much better at Wiskandladle down the street. One minor detail caught my eye; someone forgot to dust the furniture and ceramic vegetable displays...yes, I know its minor, but come-on clean the place for Pete's sake! The staff seem tired and bored.

We went for the Chef's Whim- and it was such a delight. The cuisine was fresh, artistic and represented such a lovely variety of flavors. Sophisticated. The only negative thing is the service at the bar was slow to get a glass of wine while waiting for our table. The bar staff was frantic and did not provide very good service. The wine list was fantastic... so it was worth the wait.

Our waitress was on point. Corrin. She gave good explanations on each dish and was able to properly pair our selections with wine and cocktails. She checked in on us regularly but never intruded. The busers were also on point. Our water glasses were never empty and that goes a long way in my book! The only damper to the evening was that I was not greated by a host when I came in. I was greated by a wait staff and taken to my seat. Due to this, my party did not know I was already seated and was waiting in the lobby.

Jason Nibb is, hands-down, San Diego's best Chef. Anyone would be lucky to enjoy his 5-Diamond/5-Star food at 3-4 Star prices. There is a back terrace overlooking the Hotel's pool and a beautiful view looking through to Children's Pool. Sunsets there are silohetted by the beautiful palms. There also is a side-walk terrace perfect for people watching and pooch friendly. The restaurant ambiance is lively and for a group they provide a "Parlor Room" off the back terrace that seats up to 12 I believe and other banquet facilities for extra large parties. Come early before a show and let the wait staff know, they'll have you out right on time. Mike Yen, the worlds' best bartender makes the best cocktails with only FRESH juices. Heavenly.
