Diner Reviews
  • "The atmosphere was very charming, which is why we choose to eat here, but the selection on the menu wasn't extensive. The burger is the best thing for your buck on the menu, so good. However, everything else is small portions for high cost. It was our most expensive meal while in Key West and we were still hungry when we left unfortunately."

  • "A friend and I went on a Saturday evening with her 13 year old daughter and one of her friends. They were accommodating to her daughter's picky eating by making her a plain chicken breast (which she loved!). I had the swordfish and it was out if this world. Our waiter was great, the wine was awesome and the dessert was to die for! We definitely put this on our 'must do' list."

  • "This was my first time staying a few nights in Key West, and I came across this restaurant while looking for places to have dinner online. It is top notch and will not let you down! A little pricey, but you get what you pay for."

  • "Excellent food...what a great find on Duval Street. The grouper was amazing!!!! Ate here twice for dinner on our mini vacation away to Key West!!!"

  • "The atmosphere was wonderful, and the food fantastic! There were several items on the menu that accommodated a "modified paleo" diet and several options for lovers of all foods!!!"

  • "915 is by far my favorite restaurant on the island. The food is excellent and the service is out of this world. I recommend this to anyone who comes to key west. I am a local and there are numerous good restaurants in town but this one is where we go for random dinners and important celebrations. I would also like to mention their upstairs which I will go to with girlfriends to grab a drink and more casual dining. Amazing amazing amazing!"

  • "All I am going to say is this: If you find this special spot, it means that it is more difficult for me to get a table, and I live in Key West. I love 915's food, staff and location."

  • "Nine One Five has a reputation as the place in Key West to go to find French fries. In a way that is unfortunate as it suggests a sort of meat and potatoes joint. Nine One Five has the most interesting menu on the island literally from soup to nuts. In my experience it is always very well executed. "

  • "Ordered a bunch of appetizers. Devils on a horseback were outstanding but the pork tacos, tuna dome, lamb, and crab cake were all bland and meh."
    Dined on 6/2/2014
  • "Not much in the way of food choices, overpriced, not great service, and the cut of meat used in the filet was not great quality- then they drenched the filet mignon in a mediocre peppercorn sauce almost as if to cover up the subpar quality of the meat. There are much better restaurant choices in key west."

  • "We had heard of this place from a friend so we tried it out. Upon arriving the host was not very welcoming-quiet and blah. Our waiter was no better. He said it was very laid back and didn't recommend anything or go through the menu. We ordered the crab cake and ceviche a Stella and a Riesling. The apps came and the presentation was nice but the crab cake was the size of a half dollar...the ceviche was 8 chips and a 3oz cup. We were done and ready to move on. After paying the $50 check we went out for pizza-Only Wood was AMAZING. FAR BETTER RESTAURANTS THAN THIS ONE. I'm all about an expensive meal but dont expect to walk away HUNGRY and DISAPPOINTED. "

  • "Excellent service, attentive and professional. The food was outstanding and also good for my wife as a vegetarian. This restaurant is above the rest along Duval in its style and quality. "

  • "I chose Nine One Five as the location for a date with my wife before spending three weeks apart. Our seats away from the street around the side were excellent for just us. It's a bit cozy, but the atmosphere is relaxing. Our server, Elleny, was smiling, enthusiastic and engaged the entire visit. Our calamari appetizer was excellent, and our main courses of a burger and a 10-ounce sirloin had good flavor and texture. The beer selection was a bit better than average and wine list had enough interesting options. We would go again."

  • "Our experience at 915 was phenomenal. From the hostess to the bartender to the server, all were very friendly, engaging and accommodating. We picked a nice bottle from their extensive wine list, ordered some snacks and appetizers to start our evening. All came out in a timely fashion and presentation of the food was very attractive. All menu items we ordered were very tasty and delicious. Once it came time for entrees, momma's soul soup was the favorite. You have to try this dish when dining at 915. The atmosphere at the restaurant was very calm and relaxing. Never did we feel rushed. Dining outside with the cooling breeze always around is just an experience you don't get anywhere else."

  • "A very nice restaurant for Key West. Nice outdoor seating on veranda and in front of restaurant. Despite past James Beard nominations food was ok compared to other James Beard nominees across the country. However for Key West definitely worth trying as long as your expectations are not too high."

  • "We had the scallops and filet, both were amazing! The falls Cabernet was a wonderful wine to compliment the meal. They also carry la fin du monde, an excellent beer if you haven't had it. The calamari is okay but overall delicious meal and we will definitely come back on our next visit!"

  • "They will seat you before 6pm but they will also tell you they have no servers until 6. There is a separate bar upstairs with small plates and a happy hour until 6pm, we decided to go up there for a drink first. Once we came down for our table the restaurant started to fill up quickly. The hostess was not very professional or outgoing, she gossiped with a coworker (within earshot) more than she talked to us. Our server, however was very knowledgeable and friendly and the location is good for people watching. I had scallops and my friend had grouper, we both thought our meals were wonderful. Overall, very good food but the ambiance was lacking. "

  • "Food was geriatric no seasoning. Good quality on the food just no seasoning at all. Hand the chef a salt shaker and a pepper grinder plz. "

  • "Have chosen the place to propose cuz it's super. She accepted BTW. Would totally recommend their All Grown Up Root Beer Float. Delicious. Of course we had a Veuve Clicquot before that :-) "

  • "We had dinner on their front porch one week night and it was excellent from start to finish. We ordered a lot of food so here goes: appetizers of Tuna Tower (incredible!), Pork Tacos (incredible!), Angels on Horseback (incredible!), Moroccan Lamb (nothing special) and Caesar Salad (good). We all shared two Rosemary Crusted Grouper entrees and an order of fries (we saw so many tables order them so we had to as well! The portion size of the fish was pitiful really, over a bed of greens with 2 shrimp on the side and overall just an ok dish. The fries were a large portion and extra yummy. We were glad we ordered so many appetizers to begin with. They had a great cocktail/wine/beer menu as well."

  • "We enjoyed dinner and will be returning. Especially liked the porch dining! Fine wine list. Certainly one of the best Key West has to offer!"

  • "Took a group of family and friends. My husband and had been here before and enjoyed the food. Enough of a selection of appetizers and salads for those who did not want too much to eat. Service friendly but a little slow with the first course. But was nice not to be rushed. Had a wonderful evening"

  • "We went with our server's recommendations: Soul Mama Soup (a green curry seafood stew) and the Whole Snapper. So glad we did. Both were wonderful. "

  • "We visit this restaurant annually on our vacation. It is hard to believe, it just keeps getting better and better. The owner is always present and congenial; the wait staff seem to enjoy their jobs and professionally deliver excellent service. The food is outstanding."

  • "We decided to see if 915 could seat us without a reservattion. We waited at the hostess desk. It took a bit for her to get there & there were a few parties ahead of us. She said: 'who has reservations?', & then seated the parties that had a Rez. Another 5 minute wait, with child. When we got up to the front, I advised her again that we did not have a reservation, and she then told us that they were booked & could only seat reservations. When I told her she could have just said that to the small group waiting in the first place instead of making us wait, her response was to rudely say, 'I've got a lot going on here'. Quite unprofessional. We made a reservation for 2 nights later. Food was good, waitress very nice. Bit pricey. Great setting."

  • "We had some of the most delicious fresh seafood that was beautifully prepared and presented in all of Key West at 9 to 5. We live in Boston, where we are used to great seafood and 9 to 5 delivered the Key West equivalent. The rosemary crusted grouper was lovely and the whole snapper was delicious. Wonderfully creative choice of starters and appetizers. Wines were moderately priced, also."

  • "We eat at 915 every time we are in Key West (usually twice a year) and have never been disappointed. We always enjoy great food and fine service. I highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "We have dined here before and Stuart and his team continue exceed expectations. Food is delicious and Duval Street ambiance is wonderful. What sets this restaurant apart is consistent, outstanding service, warmth and excellent food."

  • "My wife and I ate there on Friday night. The food was very disappointing. We heard so many great things but something must have changed. For us, it is all about the food. My wife started with the ceviche which appeared to have been cooked; it was drab in comparison to Peruvian restaurants in and around Miami. She also had the duck which was dry and tasteless. I had the grouper which also lacked taste.......which tends to happen when food has been frozen for too long. We looked around at the tables around us; and no one appeared to be having a good time......... I am not sure what happened to this restaurant; but we won't be going back."
