"Very surpised how mediocre this restaurant was especially given the mostly favorable reviews that it gets. Service was lackluster. Someone in my party ordered the chicken flatbread. Practically inedible. It looked like a frozen "lean cuisine" entree. Kitchen couldn't get our other orders done correctly. Very bad experience. Would never recommend."

"Took a chance, site unseen as I heard this was close to the garden. Wow, is it ever! It is basically across the street on 7th and 31st St. The food has quite a variety. You can get a pizza or a seared Tuna steak. Both are prepared very well. We went before a show at the Garden last Friday eve and it was just right. We had plenty of time to eat and enjoy the food and the company and our server was just attentive enough so as not to feel too rushed. We will go back next time in the area."

"I don't know why I hadn't discovered Niles before. Great location if you're going to an event at MSG and want something more upscale than the neighborhood bars and pizza slice joints, I suggest Niles. Nice ambiance, spacious layout, and good value. Food is nicely portioned. My risotto with squash, cranberry, and Brussels sprouts was like heaven. I highly recommend and will return."

"Intimate, beautiful little gem near Penn Station. A wonderful surprise of great food at modest prices in an art-like gallery atmosphere. All dishes served with a great presentation and consistently good quality. A great place to drop in for a terrific experience before heading home or going on to see a show!"

"The food was lovely. The service was attentive and very professional. Nice place near Penn Station. We were there on a Sunday afternoon - it was quiet and a pleasant experience. Definitely not the typical restaurant in this neighborhood."
