Nicola Restaurant and BarVery Authentic ItalianWe really liked the total package. They have achieved their goal of making a place for people to come that travel to Italy, or are Italian. Several folks on the beautiful patio were speaking Italian and singing with the accordion player. The ambiance was great right down to the guy passing around homemade Limoncello. Let me start by saying this is probably our go to restaurant. The Pecorino con Pere appetizer was excellent! My friend had the Anatra in Salsa di Fichi and it was excellent. I had the Ciopipno and was packed with seafood it was memorable. Very good. I do look forward to going back soon, I could go there 100 times and still find items on the extensive menu to try!

The food is always good, the pasta fresh and Nicola and his wife Speranza make you feel like you are guests in their home. The design of the restaurant keeps things intimate with two distinct dining rooms and a bar. Nicola's does not disappoint! The ambience of this small manageable space is elegant without being ostentatious - nice slacks and a cigar shirt work for the guys. The food is delicious, and the service is focused on ensuring the customer knows they are important. Both the chef and his wife stopped by our table to check on us. We have taken our adult children there and also met up with several groups of friends for wonderful dinners. There lunch menu is fantastic, patio makes you feel you are sitting in the Tuscan garden and co-workers and I have found it a relaxing get-away. The staff is very courteous and efficient. The owner is great - she remembers you when you come in and always has a special greeting for you. We have often said that a restaurant this great is usually found in downtown Chicago or perhaps New York so we feel fortunate to have it in Upper Arlington. FromNicola's is wonderful. From Spiranza the manager/owner to Nicola the Chef/owner. I have had 10 people to dinner, friend get-togethers, lunch and even closed a huge business deal while eating the spectacular food. There are menu items you want to see at an Italian restaurant and items you won't see outside of Rome Italy. The delicious pasta is made on site and the desserts are gorgeous and light. My favorite is the Diplomatica. Chef Nicola even makes his own Limoncella. Awesome. Try the ravioli made as they do in the Tuscan countryside. Then next time the light and lovely Risotto, any one will surprise and delight. You will be delighted.
