I love the meat fritto misto featured a few weeks ago - sweetbreads, chicken liver etc. was wonderful, but overly greasy even though served on absorbing paper..has been true of a number of past fried appetizers
The wood fired pizzettas are divine - I especially love the salmon and marscapone for brunch.
The wood roasted fish is always excellent.
As for the renovation...the lights in the front room are great looking as is the pale wood paneling. Somehow the old décor hung together better. The acoustics are much worse in front room, and the lamp shades & sconces in the back room are unattractive and a trend gone by.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMThis remains the "hot" restaurantThis remains the "hot" restaurant in East Hampton. We went a 9:30 PM and the place was packed but still my reservation was respected. (It probably didn't hurt that I am acquainted with the Manager who had previously managed another restaurant that I also frequent in East Hampton.
The cuisine is well prepared and presented and the service is professional and attentive.
The acoustics are not the best and the dining room can be disturbingly loud.
