A word from Nick & Toni's Cafe Manhattan
With a focus on local products and seasonal produce Nick & Toni's Cafe Manhattan prepares fresh food simply. We source locally whenever possible and shop the NYC Green markets with twice-weekly visits to our neighbors at the Tucker Square market and others the including Union Square and Ft. Greene markets.

The wood fired oven puts out perfectly crispy pizzas everyday at lunch and Sun-Thurs at dinner. Friday & Saturday nights be prepared for a special treat because, although there are no pizzas, many house specialties such as the Roasted Chicken, Whole Fish of the Day, or Scallops are prepared in the wood oven.

We have a diverse and high quality selection of wines by the glass, and a moderately priced wine list. We also feature a full bar and an extensive cocktail list including a number of house infused alcohols that suit the seasons.

We made a 6.45pm reservation here so we could get to a 7.30pm show at Lincoln Center. The waiter understood from the moment we arrived that we were in a hurry. It was cutting it fine (a 6.30pm reservation might have been better), but we had a speedy, enjoyable, delicious meal and the service was impeccable, not hover-y or dismissive, just bringing us what we needed when we needed it. The food was divine (we had a light meal—shared pizza and salad) and they were thoughtful enough to split the salad onto two plates without us asking. It's a fantastic pre-theater or special-dinner spot, down the street from LC and not too pricey, with a wine list to die for. We liked it so much that we'd be willing to come again on a not-so-special occasion.

This restaurant is attractive enough and service is fine. The food is also fine enough so that I eat here quite often as it is in my neighborhood and very conveniently located to the AMC Cinema. It is not so noisy and one can have a decent conversation - which is not easy to do in restaurants these days.. My friend and I had the Artic Char. I was more pleased with my dish than she was pleased with hers. She found it too bland & added a lot of salt. I thought it imaginatively prepared and found it was to my taste.

The food was good. However, you feel a bit stuffed in. It was so convenient for after the movies. The noise level is very loud so it is not so easy to talk and there is this sense of " tightness" that makes you a bit uncomfortable. The fish was spectacular...so were our salads. That night they only had " pizzetes " not pizza....was disappointing. Overall...it a place to go before of after a movie....but NOT a place to make a night of it.

This place is near Lincoln Center. Service was generally good and also appropriately speedy for pre-Lincoln Center. Food, however, was just so-so. Breaded chicken liver appetizer was so heavily breaded it was like Liver McNuggets and chicken entree was way too salty. Would not go again (unless other places near Lincoln center were booked).

The food tasted great for the price and the service was also attentive. The restaurant is small and crowded so it is noisy and the help has to work in very close quarters. Don't go if you want a romantic meal or have something to talk about. Do go if you only want good food.

Location is convenient to Lincoln Center, our food was delicious, server was wonderful, service was prompt. We were able to enjoy a truly relaxing and enjoyable dinner and get to the Met in plenty of time. Fried chicken livers were incredible; hanger steak was actually tender as well as delicious, and the swiss chard that accompanied the steak was abundant as well as yummy. Pricing was quite reasonable especially for such high quality.

the layout of the restaurant is odd and we found it strange that they did not serve pizzas on the weekends. Instead we were served a very small pizza that looked like they put pasta sauce on a pita bread. The waitress was nice but nothing could be done with the average quality.

The food was fantastic but the service was terrible. When I arrived at 7, the restaurant was packed with older patrons and by 7:30 was half empty yet the servers hounded us and seemed annoyed that we wanted a few minutes to talk before we ordered. I was entertaining a client from out of town so I didn't want to rush him through dinner. No one ever offered us bread so I had to ask for it...twice. Management really needs to work with their wait staff but the food was excellent. I chose it because I thought it would be a great place to take a client but I would not return. Have eaten at other branches and was very happy with the service but this branch needs a lot of help service wise.

Food was fantastic, had a great table in the corner. All of that was overshadowed by a rude and condescending server. He was stretched with a large party, and therefore took it out on us. Service was slower than we would have liked, however we sat patiently. When we asked a busboy a question, we were suddenly challenged by the server who told us not to speak to the busboy again and made a highly inappropriate and threatening comment. Our group brushed it off since it was so awkward. His anger issues ruined our meal, and the evening. We paid a lot of money for a rare evening out. Might as well have have stayed home ans saved $. Management must know about this.

We were going to the ballet so chose this restaurant because its convenient to Lincoln center. And remembered fondly meals at their East Hampton restaurant. The food here was so bland, poorly presented and unremarkable. I've had better in old fashion mom and pop Italian in Brooklyn. Amazing they do a lively business, i don't know how they can get away with this, especially at these expensive prices. the restaurant has a nice ambiance though, its fun and the location is great. They really need a new chef!

I like Nick and Toni's Cafe a lot. It is a great Lincoln Center Restaurant and everybody is always very nice. The last time I was there we were seated at a table for 2 so that I was looking down a stair well which was unattractive. The restaurant was not full when we arrived and we had a reservation. The ambiance would have been better at a better table.

Actually went on Open Table from my seat in Lincoln Center before the show and saw good reviews. The place didn't disappoint, dinner after the show was perfect. After a very friendly and professional welcome and seating, two of us shared three small plates before entrees; clever and beautiful presentation of very delicious food. The server was exceptionally friendly and engaging not only with us but all other tables; impressive since clearly this was the end of his shift. Our new go to place for dinner before or after performances at LC.

Recently went to the Opera with a friend from Europe, and wanted to find a place close by to the Opera. I'd been to N&T's several times and knew it would be a good spot. But boy have they stepped up their game since my last visit. It was the first dinner serving of their new fall menu. It did not disappoint. We both had fish for our mains, Fluke and Tuna, cooked perfectly. And we both had starters, I had the figs and my friend had the crispy chicken livers. Both were presented beautifully and just yummy. The excellent wine list allowed up to pair our dinner choices with some lovely wines. Expert friendly service. Make a res...or you will wait. I have a new pre-show fav!

Light foods or pizza, served quickly if you need it that way, or relax and dine normally. Ultra thin pizza crust, good appetizer selection. We arrived too late for a full meal and really appreciated the front desk man's assistance to help us get in and out quickly. (an amazing 25 minutes from entry to departure) Two hot appetizers and a pizza later, we made the show, with time to spare.

Used to be a favorite go-to restaurant in our neighborhood, but not for awhile. Tried again recently but my young girls shared a dried out turkey burger and soggy fries. Nick and Toni's turkey burger used to be one of our favorites! We were not asked if we wanted any drinks with brunch and servers seemed much more intent on speaking with one another rather than their customers. I had shredded chicken salad, which consisted of some greens and stringy burnt pieces of chicken. And greasy, gristly pieces of skin. Would never eat that salad again.

I hosted a lunch for old friends who enjoy good food and conversations. Nick & Toni's didn't disappoint. The pastas with velvety sauces, a baked peach with Gorgonzola and proscuito and heirloom tomatoes were wonderful. The desserts were delightful. My only negative comment is that the expresso was watery and weak. But I'd definitely go back.

Service here was not attentive nor fast enough; even when we asked for a dessert menu there was no interest in getting it to us in a timely manner. We ordered the Zucchini Squash Blossom as an appetizer as I thought the server said it was zucchini and blossoms, but no, we paid $8 for one little greasy blossom, such a disappointment as we love fried zucchini. The margarita pizza was good on a nice thin, crispy crust. We decided to skip dessert as it took so long to get the menu, we feared we would miss our show waiting on a dessert.

Stopped for a quick dinner at Nick and Toni's. It was early when we arrived and we were the only diners in the place; by the time we left they had a full house. Service was responsive and pleasant and we appreciated the server's recommendations on menu choices. The arctic char was plentiful and seasoned well; and the squash salad underneath was light and refreshing. The arugula salad was plentiful and the marinated olives brought to the table with the bread course were an nice treat. Prices were reasonable and the dessert rounded up a nice meal.
