The steak was good and very flavorful but a bit tough. It was not worth price in our opinion. Ceasar Salad and side potato was very good. We don't eat steaks that often and see no other reason to consider this pricy restaurant."

  • "I made a reservation for my daughter and her 3 friends to eat here before they went to their prom. The mgmt preauthorized my credit card which was very helpful. They all raved about the steaks and the sides. My daughter remarked that it was the BEST Caesar Salad she had ever eaten and her steak was so tender she cut it with a fork. The scalloped potatoes were still being discussed on Sunday afternoon. The only issue they had was she said the wait staff made them feel very uncomfortable staring and whispering. They are beautiful young people so I explained maybe they were unaccustomed to seeing such "Beauty" both inside and out. They also found it very difficult to find the restaurant. No visible signs from the street."

  • "My sister and I took our mother (age 87) out for dinner to celebrate her birthday. We were initially seated in a dining room next to a table with very young children and my mother, who is hard of hearing, did not want the noise from the children in the background. So we were re-seated near the bar. The hostess learned that it was my mother's birthday and, upon being re-seated, there was a bouquet of flowers and a card from the restaurant staff at the table. My mother was very pleased. The wait staff was super efficient, knowledgeable about the cocktail and food menu, and gracious. The food was delicious. We had a great time."

  • "tried to sneak in an early dinner with some friends from out of town before an event at USC...wanted them to try N&S's great steaks. As always, the ribeyes, baked potatoes, and delicious salads were gobbled up in our short trip. The staff was kind enough to rush the food out, as we only had an hour ...only hiccup was that one of the steaks was not cooked as ordered...but the waiter caught it before it even reached the table. So, we did not all get served at once...but the manager walking by with his keen eye spotted this error, and when the late steak came, it was perfect...and a comped dessert arrived at our table. I like the sublety of this move..professional and not full of drama. It's pricey, but worth it. Never disappoints"

  • "Went before a show at Nokia on a Sunday. The place was pretty empty. The food was nothing special. The standouts were the crab cake and the long beans (side dish). Ordered a 28 day aged rib-eye and I've never seen so much fat in a steak. The porterhouse was good, as were the desserts."

Told them our time frame and they were good about it, no issues and didn't feel too rushed. Slightly odd that others who came in after were served before. Very comfortable to be here before the show, quiet and easy, place fills up by 7 pm."

  • "We went for a pre-show dinner. We each has a different martini prepared to perfection. The split pea soup was the best I have ever had. My Rib Eye was extremely flavorful and cooked perfectly. Also served was the Mahi Mahi which was delicious. The chocolate pretzel bread pudding was a perfect ending. Tea is served in a pot so you don't have to wait for a second pour of hot water."

I'd never had beef caesar before and was happily surprised to find a bit of spice in the beef, played off the caesar really well. Our server, Joseph, was great--very attentive and warm, knew what he was talking about. Especially appreciate that the restaurant knows it's a business spot so if you need to linger while talking work, that's never a problem there. All in all, a good, solid, dependable spot with above par service."

I would come back anytime I'm in the mood for treating myself to a fine steak dinner. Their signature old fashioned was good but a bit on the sweet side."

The pie was better than in Key West and the rectangle shape was easier to eat and share than the typical pie shape.   • "Had read mixed reviews about this steakhouse in Downtown LA but glad we went and decided for ourselves. We arrived early for dinner and took advantage of their happy hour prices (til 9pm) in their bar. After a couple drinks we headed into the dining room for dinner. Our waitress was amazing...helpful, attentive, explained not only the Dine LA menu but the steakhouse in general, as they age their meat right there on the premises and that was pretty cool to see! Our party was split as 2 of us ordered the Dine LA menu and 2 ordered off the regular menu. Everything was delicious, from the popovers to the dessert and we will definitely be coming back in the future! Thanks Dine LA for introducing us to another fine establishment!"

  • "I looked up this restaurant ahead of time through Yelp and I was a bit anxious coming because it got 3.5 stars. Also, I thought the portions would be extremely small, especially because I went for DineLA but I was pleasantly surprised! I am a steak girl all the way, but I thought I would try something different this time and I got the sea bass. It was perfectly buttery and everything else on the plate paired very well with the fish. I also got a bite of my friend's filet mignon and it was extremely tender, juicy, & delicious! Our server (Justin) was extremely nice and gave us just the right amount of service + space. It's not a restaurant I could afford to come to often, but it's great for a fancy dinner for some special occasion."

  • "We stopped in here during DineLA to try out the restaurant. The menu was simple, straightforward and delicious. We had the Filet Mignon and Half Chicken. Both were prepared perfectly to order and wonderful. The ambiance is very nice and definitely a high end steak house feel. They have a very interesting display of their dry aged beef, the only place I know of you can view the process right up and close. Food was priced well for DineLA, and the regular menu is about what you would expect. The only downside was that it was difficult to locate the restaurant unless you know where you are going. Signage in downtown LA is tough enough and the restaurant is in the middle of a large bank building."

One may think that the dining experience will suffer when prix fixe menus are the majority of orders, like during DineLA week, but N+S simply shines! I was supremely satisfied with my order of wedge salad, burger, and bread pudding! Thank you for making me happy!"
