If you order a side of asparagus for $8.00 you literally get 6 of them so if have a party of 4 or 5 and everyone wants it, you have to order 3 of them which means you are paying 24 dollars so each person can have 3 of them. On the other hand, if you order au gratin potatoes, there is plenty for 5 people. The steak was very good but it was typical Nebraska corn fed........nothing that will WOW you if you are used to eating them.
The service is fantastic, the artwork and ambience is general is fantastic, and the hostess's are smokin' hot!

This is my favorite steakhouse in Dallas and I have been to all of them more than once. The service is attentive yet not burdensome. The food is second to none and so is the atmosphere. I took a group of 8 executives, 4 were customers, and we had a fantastic experience. I got a recommendation for this place from our local sales rep who lives in the Uptown area. Steaks were great, sea bass excellent, sides all very good. Quail appetizer excellent as well as the shrimp, oyster, and clam appetizer which came out with a dry ice plume - great presentation. They have way more wines than anyone could possibly need. Dessert looked great but we were so full that no one had room for dessert. The restaurant is unique in that it offers a numbeer of family-style steak options - very large portions of prime beef, intended to be shared with all guests at the table. The cowboy cut ribeye with truffle butter is to die for, and is the go-to item for my husband and me. A few places in Dallas offer lobster macaroni and cheese, but Nick & Sam's is TO DIE FOR!! They greeted us by wishing us a happy anniversary. I had asked for a quiet, corner table and they gave us a quiet , corner table. They provided complementary champagne and the service throughout the evening was exemplary. The food was excellent. Nick & Sam's went out of their way to exceed our expectations.
