  • "This is my husband's favorite restaurant, so it is only natural we'd go there for his birthday. My only complaint is we were not offered a Restaurant Week menu when we sat down, and our waiter came and went a couple of times w/o mentioning it. We finally asked, and he brought the menu. We did order from RW menu, and it was fabulous. Thanks!"

  • "Tried out Nick & Sam's since it was Restaurant Week in Dallas. Even with reservations, waited a half-hour to be seated. Luckily, we were seated in the back room of the restaurant which was less crowded and noisy -- the place is very popular and high-energy in the main dining area. There was good choices on the restaurant week menu and the portions were hearty -- definitely felt stuffed after the 3 course meal! However, my husband ordered the chocolate torte with peanut butter shavings and was given a yellow/white cake so not sure if it was the correct dessert. Overall, great time due to exceptional waiter!"

  • "First time at Nick & Sam's-looking forward to many more! We frequent Eddie V's, Al Bernait's, Del Frisco's & Bob's and those are all great in different ways but Nick & Sam's is our new FAV!. The service (Jamie was amazing!) was top notch from the moment we arrived. The drinks were fabulous and the food was served piping hot and with flawless transitions from appetizers to dinner to dessert. You will not be disappointed!"

  • "One of my favorite restaurants in Dallas. Came here to celebrate my birthday. Hostesses knew I was celebrating, and even my server said "happy birthday". Was a little bummed that all the other tables around me got 'birthday sparklers' on their desserts and I did not :-( But food was fantastic!"

The calamari was fantastic, steaks were cooked to perfection, and the the ambience sublime. Thanks, Nick & Sam's for getting this couple out to enjoy a "date night"!"

  • "I set a reservation for Nick & Sam's for my wife and I to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. In the special instructions section of the online reservation, I just mentioned that we would be celebrating our anniversary, but didn't really think it would mean anything. When we arrived to our table, there was a beautiful card with our names on it, surrounded by rose petals. They brought out champagne to toast us, and offered an additional course free of charge. We are usually pretty systemic about the way we tip, but we gave the largest tip we've ever given to our waiter because his service was absolutely first class. And somehow, I haven't gotten to the fact that it was the best steak that my wife and I have ever had. I hope to go again...soon!"

Joel was our waiter and he did a fantastic job of explaining all the on menu and off menu dishes. Even made some recommendations for my wife who wasn't that hungry. Dessert was amazing - cream brulee; light, yet very tasty."

  • "We came because Nick and Sam's was voted D Magazine's best Steak House 2014. We will be coming back because Larry L, our server outshone the food, as difficult as this would be to accomplish. The steak presentation and explanations by Larry were impeccable as we narrowed our selection to a 120 day dry aged porterhouse paired with an excellent bottle of Stag's Leap Artemis. Throughout the meal, Larry was helpful, unobtrusive and always had a ready answer to any menu question we asked. The steak temperature was perfect, the presentation spot on and we left full, but not uncomfortably so. Larry was extremely helpful but completely without arrogance, allowing for a perfect meal."

  • "It was a great food experience, everything lived up to reputation in Dallas.In comparison to other famous steakhouses, it would be up with the best, however the dining room experience was cramped and at times awkward with several larger parties VERY close by and loud and rowdy patrons close it was difficult to hear others conversations at our table...not a great business or romantic dinner place. Could be great on a slower night??"
