  • "We went last night for my mom's birthday, the table we had was awesome, right in the bar area and the host was nice and placed confetti on the table! The food was amazing as usual and the group that brought out our food was really nice! Also, we got a special dessert with a sparkler for my mom's birthday, the guy that brought it out took our picture and was super nice! But, of course the only bad thing to occur was our waitress, she was rude, had an attitude the entire time. We couldn't help but laugh at how rude she was being. We have been to Nick and Sam's many times and never have we experienced a horrible waitress, we loved the food and everyone else was nice, but our waitress really ruined the night."

  • "Outstanding dining experience. One of the best, if not The best rib eye steak I have ever had. This was our first time at Nick and Sam's and we were very pleased. Jamie, our waiter was friendly, informative and took excellent care of us and was very helpful in explaining the menu to us. If I had one criticism was the noise level but that just took some getting used to. All in all an excellent experience and we will be back!"

  • "The food and service were excellent. Our table started with a cold seafood appetizer tray; shrimp cocktail, oysters, mussels, jumbo lump crab meat and all wonderful. I had a veal chop that was as good as it gets. Wonderful dessert and great service without be overbearing, although the waiter was a bit pushy trying to get us to order the more expensive entrees. An outstanding meal and venue."

  • "Our 27 year old picked Nick and Sam's to celebrate his birthday. It was spectacular!! They were ready for us upon arrival and made the whole evening just fabulous! The waiter was perfect and the food was divine! The manager came over to wish us well and brought champange and caviar. I loved the piano music and the decor was so beautiful. We all agreed that was the most fun birthday party we had ever celebrated!!"

  • "After waiting two weeks for our reservation we were sadly underwhelmed. We have eaten at N&S several times and have always enjoyed the experience. First, our waiter was condensending, almost to the point of rudeness. The Cesar salad was wilted, our New York strip was perfectly prepared but on the tough side. Our cauliflower and brussel sprouts were the best part if the meal. With all the marvelous steak houses in Dallas I will probably think twice before returning to N&S."

  • "Virtually impossible to hear or be heard, and we were in the smaller, quieter room. Pork chop over cooked, and Kobe beef steak over hyped (not nearly as good as at a couple of competitors). The salads were good, and the desserts were good. Too many tables jammed too close together. Too bad. Likely the last visit."

Wine service incomplete, no offer of dessert, coffee, or after dinner beverages. Sides were very meager. With so many top notch restaurants to select from, one does not need to feel unappreciated."

  • "This was our second time here, and the food and service was very mediocre compared to the first time we were there. Our steak was bland and extremely over-cooked, the fish lacked seasoning, the side dishes were served cold, and the waiters took forever to come ask if we needed anything. It was our family's Father's Day celebration, and we regret choosing Nick and Sam's for the occasion. Never going back."

  • "Went here for our 2-year anniversary and had a great time. The server was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The food was unbelievably good. We shared a 22oz bone-in ribeye and the server even offered to cook each side of the steak at a different temp if we so desired (we didn't). The atmosphere and ambience was great. After informing our server we were celebrating 2 years we were given a couple glasses of champagne on the house and a hostess fluttered some rose petals onto our table. It was a nice touch. Other than the fact that it's freezing inside the restaurant (which is quickly remedied with some wine drinking!) I have no complaints. The steak was the best I've had and the 3-cheese Mac was amazing. Just an awesome experience."

  • "The service we received on Friday night was IMPECCABLE!!!!! Our server, Gabriel, was so attentive to our every need and the fact that he remembered us from March and what we ate was incredible. My daughter's steak was a little overcooked (she ordered it that way) and she didn't like it, one of the managers came by to check on us and immediately brought her another that was done to perfection. To round out our dinner, the chef brought us a slice of the red velvet cake and the never seen before Green Apple Cotton Candy. Thank You, Samir, Gabriel and the entire staff for an outstanding evening."

  • "Requested a table away from the piano because the last time we were seating directly in front of the piano. We were seated in a booth in the back of the restaurant. A four top table was next to us and then a large table of eight was next to them. But the acoustics in Nick and Sam's are excellent. Large tables are not so loud and overbearing like in most restaurants and we were able to carry on a conversation. The restaurant was full and we were able to talk at a normal level throughout the entire dinner."

  • "The menu was extensive enough to handle anyone's desires, but then they brought out a tray of the special meat cuts for the night. Huge bone in steaks, wagu, kobe on several levels, a 14" long prawn that was bigger than a lobster.... awesome all around. Complimentary caviar appetizer (don't worry, you pay for it in the long run) was really nice. . I work out a lot and try to eat clean and, even with all the great sauced up offerings for side dishes, we were able to find several paleo type sides to compliment our entrees. They even did berries for dessert. My first time here as I am generally a Bob's guy, but I will definitely be back. The elevated grand piano in the kitchen is classic!"

  • "My wife and I went here on our honeymoon and we had a fantastic time! The service was fantastic! We told them it was our honeymoon and they threated us extra special! The 22oz cowboy steak was one of the best I have ever had and I will definitely go back for! The only down side is that it was a little loud but felt like it was still semi private."

  • "We haven't been to Nick and Sams in a few years trying all the new restaurants that have opened in town. Well we were fools because none of them can beat the food, service and experience at N&S. Our waiter James was so fun to talk to and interact with throughout the meal. It was my husband's birthday and they made it so special for him. The sushi appetizer was really nice and unexpected. Lemon sole was great as usual and my husbands steak was amazing. We have strayed but won't anymore - Nick & Sames for special occasions and a great night out!"

The tables were close together and it seemed like there were wait staff constantly walking by our table. The steaks were good but my daughter's salmon was over cooked.   • "After much build-up of food expectations, we were disappointed in our meal. Drinks and service were excellent but the steak was very disappointing. Came under cooked and very fatty. My wife and I have had excellent steaks other places in Dallas, so there was plenty to compare with on this evening out. We will give it one more try to see if it was just an off night, or this restaurant is more hype than substance."

  • "I put in a special note to the restaurant that I'm bringing my fiance for the first time. We currently live in California but Nick & Sam's was my favorite steakhouse when I lived in Dallas. To say they went above and beyond the call of duty is an understatement. We had a table in the private dining room, champagne compliments of the manager, and dessert wine with dessert. My fiance was floored at the level of service and attention we received. Somehow, someway we'll make it back to Dallas for this gem of a restaurant on a yearly basis. Simply the best!"

  • "The restaurant was very noisy - there is a live piano player (a nice touch) and were were surrounded by several large parties, so hearing the servers, and each other, was a challenge. The food was good, what I expected. The service was slow. We had gaps of time before we saw a server, and they never came back to check on each course. One of the reasons we wanted to try Nick & Sams was for the wine list. Surprisingly, when we asked for help with selecting a wine, the server suggested three wines, and when asked for other suggestions, directed us back to those three again. I was disappointed because I would have thought that a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence winning restaurant would have a sommelier available to make suggestions. "
