Nick & Nino's is 30 stories up in the Springfield Hilton. The view was sparkling. The service was friendly. The menu was nice and the food was served in an attractive manner. The restaurant is closed on Monday's. We went to the lounge for after dinner drinks. A great evening out, especially as the area has limited restaurants.

The staff, ambience and service were amazing, however, my husband ordered the lamb chops and my friend ordered the Porterhouse, both of which they were out of. If you have a limited menu then I feel as though you should have enough meat at 7:15 in the evening still. It's a prime dinner time at an expensive restaurant. Although our appetizers were comped, which was very nice of them to do so, I just feel like they need to have enough meat for what the customers wants. Other than this, everything was above average!

It was a great dining experience. I would recommend booking in advance to get a window table as it is on the 30th floor. We had a wonderful time and the food and waiters were very good. View is the best.

I had the filet and my wife had sea scallops. The filet was good but not as good as it should have been for the price. My wife's meal consisted of two of the smallest sea scallops we've seen at a high priced restaurant and a piece of pork/bacon that was used for seasoning but was bigger than the scallops. All sides are a la carte for two or more. In my opinion, the only thing this restaurant has going for it is the view from the 30th floor. We were early for our reservation so we went to the lounge bar. The bartender was very good and there is a piano that's played most evenings but not when we were there. It may be a good place to go for a couple of drinks before or after dinner with the entertainment and view.

This restaurant exceeded all of our expectations! Wonderful 30th floor view. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Food was outstanding with a slightly different twist on the Caesar salad, au gratin potatoes and bread basket all of which were very enjoyable. Steaks and lobster also did not disappoint. Although a little pricey it’s well worth the splurge. Highly recommend!

My wife and I went their for our wedding anniversary dinner. We both had filet mignon, and thought these were superb. The garnishes, side order of baby asparagus, and Caesar salads were also quite good, as was the Malbec we ordered. This restaurant is small, quiet, and has panoramic views of Springfield from the top of the Hilton hotel here. My only disappointment was that for a restaurant with such an elegant atmosphere and great food, there was a male guest dressed in loose basketball-style shorts and a tank top, and others at his table were engaged with their cellphones.

Nick and Nino's was an amazing place to have a special evening. Though I did not get the table requested, they made sure that I still had a great table with the most beautiful view of the sunset over Springfield downtown. The deco was wonderful, staff was excellent, and more importantly I ate everything I order and wanted seconds!

When I made the reservation, I requesting a window. I was told that request could not be guaranteed. When we arrived a window table was available. I was told it was being held for someone else. The table set empty for most of the evening. Someone was finally seated there, but did not stay long and remained empty until just before we left. The food was fair to good. You can go to at least a half dozen restaurants in Springfield and get food this good or better for less money. It was very hot in the restaurant. I don't believe this makes it a Hot Spot. They should get the A/C fixed.

Our food was fantastic. Our server and server's assistant provided excellent and friendly service. The hostess was friendly and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our table, and even checked on us during the meal. The executive chef made himself available to all and personally visited each table. A nice touch! Overall it was an experience unmatched by any other restaurant in Springfield.

My daughter and I choose Nick & Nino's to celebrate my wife's birthday and I also used the occasion to ask my wife if she would marry me AGAIN. We met with the Ma'tarde a week in advance to the whole thing up and she arranged to involve the entire staff in this event - it was all a surprise to my wife who was absolutely speechless when I proposed to her. The Ma' tarde even came over and helped my daughter record and take pictures of the event. The waiter and staff were excellent as was the food, service and atmosphere. We will be back and recommend Nick & Ninos for any special occasion.

There is a wonderful atmosphere in this restaurant, and a great sense of hospitality extending from the hostess to the very knowledgeable waiter. We were there to celebrate a birthday, and it was an excellent choice.

This is not a scenic place to go as only two tables have window views. Noise from other tables was so loud that our group of 4 could hardly hear each other. Food was acceptable, but way overpriced. ($224 for 4 people) This is not the scenic views of Chicago! I was very surprised - in a bad sort of way. We won't be going back.

I think this was our seventh or eight visit to Nick & Nino's and it was another winner. Hand's-down best restaurant in Central Illinois. It's rare to go to any fine restaurant on a regular basis and not be disappointed by something eventually, but it hasn't happened yet. Great service by Bill and a warm welcome from Denise. We went to Nick & Nino's to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. This was our first time there. The menu had a very nice selection and our server knew the items well. My wife enjoyed her filet and I my cowboy rib eye served on the bone. Each is served with an optional crust and/or sauce. The steaks cut easily and melted in your mouth. We would highly recommend Nick & Nino's for that special night out when you want to splurge on a meal and be pampered by the serve staff.

It was a great way to spend our anniversary evening. The night began with a delicious cocktail with Nicole at the Pinnacle Club. Our Hostess Denise seated us for dinner, and Rick not so young did an outstanding job as our server. Rick was knowledgeable in all aspects of the menu, and guided us through some excellent choices. I look forward to our next evening with the great staff at Nick and Nino's.

I feel like the food is wayyyyyyyyy too over priced. Yes it was good, but price is too much. I was really excited to try the lobster bisque and it just tasted like tomato soup. VERY disappointing. I feel like my husband and I were looked down on. We didn't order wine or any alcohol for that matter. I highly doubt we will ever go back. At least if we don't we won't have to worry about filing bankruptcy. They were generous enough to pay our $1.50 bill from parking in the parking garage. Maybe if we would of received our food faster that would of at least been cheaper.

We were celebrating a birthday and it was a delightful experience. The hostess and all the servers were both efficient and fun. The food was definitely a 10. The Chef had so many clever touches like the Vichyssoise soup that had three small bowls of different delicious soups. For the dessert, we have never seen such a wonderful gushing sparkler. The entire restaurant was impressed and intrigued. This birthday will not only be remembered, but also considered one of the best!

My husband and I recently tried Nick and Nino's Penthouse Steakhouse. We were celebrating some good news. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the views were nice, the staff was very professional, but I felt as though they were trying too hard to create something that I just don't think works in Springfield,IL. The restaurant is not a 5 star restaurant. The food was in my opinion average. I could have made the same food at home and spent less money. We also ordered dessert to go and I found a hair in my dessert. I know life happens but if they are trying to convey 5 star class it should never have happened. I probably won't be back but I will definitely hit up the Pinnacle again, it's down the hall from Nick and Nino's

Booked the restaurant, after reading Open tables reviews, on our overnight stay in Springfield. This really is a one of a kind restaurant, with amazing views, especially at sunset. The service and food were very good, from start to finish. The decor is like glam 70's style with black leather, sparkly tables and a touch of pink. It was almost empty when we arrived and we got a window seat which was a bonus, it stayed pretty quiet and we missed a little more buzz and atmosphere, but the whole experience was great overall and the manager/ staff are so very attentive and efficient.

My wife and I wanted to celebrate a special occasion and we were not disappointed. Denise warmly greeted us and escorted us to our table by the window. We both enjoyed a panoramic view of Springfield and a beautiful purple orange sunset. Mathew our waiter was the perfect combination of friendly and attentive but not intrusive. My wife ordered the sea bass and I ordered the steak trio. Both entrées were perfectly prepared and delicious. Kudos for the burgundy mushroom steak sauce. We topped off the evening with a delightful white chocolate cheesecake. While Nick and Nino's is an upscale fine dining experience, it is not pretentious. A perfect place to celebrate a special dinner with family, friends or business associates. We'll be back.

I took my girlfriend here for a spontaneous romantic dinner, and Nick and Nino's did not disappoint. We both had the Filet Mignon and it definitely was a melt-in-your mouth kind of meal. We ordered two sides (which serve 2, by the way): the chef's sauteed vegetables (ask your waiter exactly what that is; it may change), and a hashbrown brick (HUGE); both were great. Try an appetizer as well. We had these spicy sausage and chicken rice egg rolls that were a great way to kick off the meal. I would HIGHLY recommend getting there about 15 minutes before your reservation and having a few drinks in the Pinnacle Lounge, then going back for a nightcap after the meal is over. Dress lightly, too. It's warm up at the top floor of the hotel!

I made reservations at 7pm to celebrate my boyfriend's parents 26th wedding anniversary. We were promptly seated by Denise at a window table which is what I had requested when I made the reservation. Denise was very nice, and made small talk with us before our server came over. Matt was our server. He was very knowledgable of the food, and made recommendations of staff favorites and the most popular items. It was the first time for my party so we needed a little more time to decide what we wanted. Matt checked in periodically to make sure we were doing well, and took our orders when we were ready. The food was EXCELLLENT! Everything was hot, flavorful, and came out at a good pace. We were all stuffed when we left. Overall, great night!
