  • "Great place. Unique menu, easy to follow, great food !!!! Service was great but I didn't catch our waiters name until the bill came. Good noise level, I could talk to others without a problem"

  • "Traveled to St. Louis for the first time and booked a night at Niche because of the chef's nomination for a James Beard Award. The restaurant is gorgeous. I was happy they were open Monday as many fine dining restaurants are not, and pleased with the more casual dining style. My guest and I were very happy overall; however I would say our server could have been better. She did not go over the menu, which was apparent at the table behind us as they ordered Hen of the Woods thinking it was a poultry dish. Hearing another server explain the items at greeting made our server's lack there-of more prominent. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant to any one in or visiting St. Louis."

  • "I don't know where to begin , just after the first corse I could go home and die it was so good, I had parsnip soup. The teasing menu was an awesome choice . We got to taste serval different dishes, and everyone of them was better then the first. If you lucky to get the reservation soon, go without a hesitation . You will enjoy it"

  • "I had a wonderful anniversary dinner with my boyfriend here. We opted to order the chef's tasting menu, having saved for a few months and wanting to do something special. It was a decision we did not regret. The food was innovative and delicious. Our server was great: the perfect amount of wit and banter while conversing with us and explaining our courses. My boyfriend and I had so much fun eating all the different courses. I will say that, as a small person with a small appetite, I took care to pace myself through the tasting menu. If you are small, like me, I would recommend doing the same. It was well worth it to make it through the entire experience! Thank you, Niche, for a lovely and memorable anniversary!"

  • "They are excellent with dietary restrictions while still making the experience a culinary adventure. The noise level would be challenging with hearing impaired. The service was great and the food was exciting and focused on flavor experience rather than just flowing with culinary trends to keep up. Still a birthday favorite! Sara"

  • "Food was outstanding, service was impeccable, and everyone did a great job! Smoked trout beignets were unbelievable!"

  • "Wife and I did the $65 prix fix. Mine (parsnip soup, pulled pork, rib eye, cheese) was excellently delicious. Wife's (fava beans, escolar, snapper, rhubarb) was less fine according to her. She thought our recent dinner ( 2 months ago) at the Brasserie in West End was much better. After the nice hostess sat us at the table with the busiest waitstaff traffic (after telling us it was not a busy waitstaff location), the service from our waitress was excellent. Acoustics terrible (way too loud - couldn't hear my wife without her shouting)."

  • "I was visiting St Louis, and someone recommended Niche to us. We selected the pre fixe option, and we could not have been more pleased with our food. Our server was outstanding! The only little downfall was they were not able to explain the wines we had questions about, but I won't deduct points for that."

  • "Niche is clearly the choice for many seeking the special occasion experience. We planned months ahead for our anniversary celebration at Niche and could not have been more pleased. Niche is one of those restaurants where nearly everything on the menu is unusual even for frequent diners like us. For some, "unusual" is not a positive but for frequent diners who love diversity and surprise, Niche is the full experience."

  • "We hadn't been to Niche in a while, so we were excited to go back for my birthday. Our waiter was nice, but he was rushing us. He asked us for our order five times within fifteen minutes of our seating. He then brought our first two courses at the same time. My husband asked another server to please let the kitchen know to slow our entrees. Had he not done this, we would have been out of there in under an hour. Our meal was over $200, which we expected. But for that kind of money, I expect to be able to really enjoy my food, wine, and time. Instead, we were rushed through without the chance to enjoy much of anything. I don't think we will be returning. There are just too many other great restaurants in STL."

  • "Arguably the most creative cuisine in St Louis. The food was at par with those in the world's top 50 without being pretentious. The service was seamless and maybe even better than some 3-star Michelin restaurants but totally down to earth. I love this restaurant!"

  • "I come from the San Francisco Bay Area and was thrilled with the imaginative and totally unique combinations. Definitely worth a journey."

  • "My husband and I dined at Niche over the weekend. We got the only open reservation at 5:00 pm. We arrived about 5 minutes early and they were not ready and asked us to wait. The gal at the bar was not very friendly. We were seated right on time at 5:00 pm. From then on, the service was impeccable. Our waitress was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. We settled on the four course prix fixed menu. We were both impressed with all four courses. The restaurant uses a lot of molecular gastronomy techniques but they were used in inventive ways which will keep us coming back for more."

  • "Our experience on Friday evening was outstanding! From the service and attention to the delicious food, it was a memorable night. This was our first time at this location and we will definitely go back. Truly lucky to have such a wonderful restaurant in St. Louis."

  • "My friends and I had wanted to try Niche for sometime now. We went for the Chef's Tasting Menu, and it did not disappoint. There are surprises along the way. Jordan was our server, and was fantastic! Service was excellence, the food was unique in the best way and of course absolutely delicious! The food served is different from how it reads on the menu, and Jordan did a great job explaining that to us. I highly recommend for usual foods served in a most unusually delectable way! Loved every moment of this amazing dining experience!"

  • "I treated my son to a dinner out at Niche since we wanted to go somewhere special , We are used to really great restaurants in Dallas, NY, San Francisco, and Chicago. We both agreed that Niche could have been in one of those food-loving cities. Every dish had an amazing range of flavors! We ordered the coxinha appetizer (yum) and the four course dinner. The parsnip soup was smooth and creamy and flavorful. The pork shoulder as others have reviewed was so tender and tasty. My son had the steak which came with a much bigger portion than we both expected, cooked perfectly as he ordered (medium), and I enjoyed the lamb. And the desserts were great and huge portions. Thanks also to Jennifer for great service!"

  • "My wife and I don't get out as often now that we have two small kids, but when we do - it's special and we want to make it memorable. Our evening was perfect - starting with Sarah who accommodated all of our food allergies, to the wine, the Chef Tasting menu, and finally the champagne. Each course had a wonder combination of freshness and innovation. We've never had an average meal here - they have all been great. Thanks for celebrating with us!"

  • "TOO MUCH PORK! Gerard Craft is always amazing with his menu's, but this one was one pork flavor after the next. - Pork in the tea (extremely "unusual") - Speck in the charcuterie - Smoked Pork shoulder - Pork broth with the Ravioli While my wife's (sous vide) filet was under-cooked, and neither of us were fans of the Beet puree in the dessert or the Oakwood tea with rendered pork fat, everything else was really good. To top it off, our server (as always) made us feel special, just for being there. Her knowledge and attitude made a pretty good dinner an absolutely amazing experience."

  • "It was Valentines Day and my wife's 65th birthday. Niche is our special occasions spot, so we went there as a party of three (our daughter came along). We had the 4-course meal; there were three choices for each course, so we ordered one of everything. Then ate a third of each dish and passed plates. The only hard part was deciding which dish we likes best. (And it wasn't unanimous by any means!) Speaking personally, my favorites were the Parsnip Soup, the Smoked Pork Shoulder, the Double Star Lamb, and the Winter Citrus. But honestly, all of the choices were superb!"

  • "We went to Niche for the first time after glowing recommendations. In spite of wintry weather, our experience was very warm and welcoming. From the greeters to Wait Staff, we could not have been made to feel more welcome. Jordan was our Server and he was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and fun! Being new to Niche, he explained the menu offerings, made suggestions when asked, and made our dining experience a memorable one! We found ourselves laughing, smiling and savoring each presentation in the Chefs Tasting Menu. Portions were small but filling and bursting with flavor. A must for an adventuresome palate. The dining experience was pricey but a delicious, fun and memorable Valentine's Day Experience!"

  • "Great place for a celebratory meal. The menu is high end, but the price is really quite reasonable for the level of food and service. Quite disappointing that they no longer offer the wine pairing option with the four course dinner (they said they were having to waste tons of wine, so I suppose they had too do away with it), but the server was good about offering suggestions to pair the courses with. The vibe is trendy, but casual and definitely not stuffy."

  • "I've come back to St. Louis where I grew up to explore some opportunities with opening a new restaurant so wanted to see what the top spots in town are doing in terms of decor, cuisine, wine list, etc. I had eaten at the old Niche several times and was always impressed but the unique dishes and flavors the kitchen was putting out. Never to be disappointed, we had a fabulous and memorable meal, several bottles of wine and really didn't want to leave after dessert was all over. I will go back frequently when I'm back in town and look forward to the new experience. We also went to Taste and Brasserie and really think chef Craft does a fabulous job!"
