I have been some of the finest restaurants all over the world and there is no question that Niche is among them. It is definitely the best restaurant in the St Louis area. I have been there at least 50 times dating back to the week they opened at the Sydney Street location. Every single dish I have had there was superb without exception. The portions are perfect and presentation is pure eye candy. Chef Gerard Craft is a culinary genius.

Only reason for less than 5 stars was the trout dish was not great. Everything else on the 4 course tasting menu was excellent. Love the cheesy rolls and the custard egg most of all. Tenderloin was superb as was the spaghetti squash. Home made Camembert cheese was wonderful paired with the wine we brought. Service is impeccable.

My wife and I live half-time in Paris and have dined at more than 100 restaurants that have one or more Michelin stars. And we thought our meal at Niche this past Wednesday was worthy of a Michelin star. Yes, the portions are small, but the dishes are brimming with wonderful character and tastes. We had the four course tasting menu and left wonderfully satisfied. Bravo!

We had been wanting to visit Niche for a long time and then finally did for our wedding night (we eloped, so it was just the two of us). The service was wonderful! They greeted us with complimentary champagne to congratulate us and every staff member we encountered made sure to make us feel welcome and recognized our special day. Our waitress was a joy to interact with the entire 2 hours we dined; very kind and attentive. I knew this was supposed to be a good restaurant, but had no idea what experience we would be in for. The food was amazing! We ordered the 10 course chef's tasting, and loved every bite. It took 2 hours to get through the entire meal, it was an adventure we loved!

It was raining when we went so I parked in the building's garage. Signs told us to proceed east for restaurants and shops we wound up in the lobby of the office building. Security told us we had to go out onto the rainy street to find the door. I tried to reserve for 6:30 and was told that was not possible. We got there but our friends were late and I kept worrying that the big 6:30 crowd would lead to our being rushed. The place never filled up, however, and I was left wondering why we could not have reserved for 6:30. The pork shoulder was disappointing, My wife thought the Spaghetti Squash was delicious. I expected everyone to be snotty, given the high praise the place gets, but they were all nice.

If you have a special lady you're looking to show a great time, Niche is the spot. The waitstaff is excellent; I never felt rushed or lacking attention. The food was amazing. While I was tempted to try the ten course meal option, I'm glad I only went with the four courses. When I left, my palate was still enjoying all of the unique flavors I had the privilege to enjoy. Hands down the finest dining experience I've had in the States in the past 30+ years...Bravo!

Through the years, Gerard, Adam, Matt and their Team have evolved and "come into their own"- becoming one of the most respectable business stories in St Louis. The current menu was executed flawlessly, shows an amazing level of finesse, and exceeded my expectations at every turn. The service was perfectly attentive, genuine, and precise. The cooking, led by Nate Hereford, was controlled, deliberate and beautiful. Flavors "popped" where they should, textures were sublime and each dish was an extension of the previous ones' glory. Most importantly, neither the Chef/Owner or Maitre D' were present, and the Team was as galvanized and firing on cylinders as possible. What a testament to their operation!

This isn't a "grab a quick bite before the Fox" type of place. Plan on staying 1 1/2 to 2 hours. The cocktail list is TO DIE FOR. We wanted to try them all. Alas, so many yummy drinks, so little time. The food was totally delicious. Totally unique. The set-up makes it easy to check out others' choices and is conducive to conversation with other diners. I enjoy that but if you don't, don't be scared away by that comment. Jennifer took great care of all of her tables but we could think we were her only table from the service we received. LOTS of personal attention from the entire wait staff.

The attention to detail that Niche delivered to please him and myself was amazing. My son enjoyed the many courses and discussing the ingredients and Flavors. It was one of enjoyable meals in every aspect one would want to experience with a favorite person and their palate;) Niche needs to be complimented that their food , service, and ambience can be enjoyed by all:)

We had the 4 course meal for our 8th wedding anniversary. The food looked great when it came out and the fusion of flavors were fantastic. Just about every dish had one ingredient that I would not normally eat, but when combined with the rest, really made the dish quite scrumptious. My wife is gluten intolerant, and Niche was very accomodating to her needs. Henry was our server, and he was quite informative, and delightful. He really helped us have a nice evening.

We were so excited to try Niche, which has gotten incredible reviews. The prices did not upset us, because we expected really high-quality food. However, the food, while tasty, seemed incredibly fussy. Delicious ingredients were masked by overpowering dressings. Portions were tiny. If you don't get the 4-course option, the portions are itty-bitty and wildly overpriced. The mushroom dish , while tasty, was literally a ripoff -- $34 for 5 mushrooms? I don't care how great they are, that is too much money.

From start to finish, our dining experience at Niche was excellent! My husband and I were treated to a fabulous meal and superb accommodations. Sitting at the "Chef's Window", we were warmly welcomed to the restaurant as each chef greeted us. We chose a "4 course meal", and each course was amazing by itself. The colors, flavors, and textures all provided beautiful presentation, as well as mouth watering enjoyment of each sweet and savory combination. The wait staff was timely and prompt, and fully attended to every step of the meal. We look forward to returning and enjoying the seasonal variety that is offered on the menu!

Our experience at Niche was excellent. Five stars for the food and service cannot describe the experience. Each dish is created with ingredients that most of us would never think about. I describe it this way: Chef Craft and his team spend as much time creating the bottom layer of a dish as they do the top, sometimes even more. When presented to you the server explains, in detail, every ingredient in the dish. We ordered the four course. During the dinner the Chef also sent out tidbits of other dishes. They were equally fantastic. The recommendation: GO TO NICHE! Reservations are a must.
