Nice bread basket, great service, good cocktail. All the food was excellent and desert was right up there too. Last evening the Petit Filet Mignon was tasteless, and on previous occasions the strip steak was too chewy. We ordered a garlic oyster dish which was phenomenal! Our waiter has been there for 13 years and understands the clientele. The steak wasn't the best I've ever had but it was extremely good. The Lobster on the other hand, to die for. Ordered the creamed corn and it was not very good. Large amounts of pepper. Told the server and I was surprised he didn't take it off our bill. Very impressed with the overall experience. Love the little plates on the table. I don't think I had to ask for one thing during the experience which was amazing. Everything was either on the table or brought with our dinners. We lovred the filet and bake shrimp in garlic sauce. The bartenders Erin and Jimmy are so friendly .. Service is wonderful .. And the music with Donny is the Greatest!!!! and yes you can dance. . As I was unfamiliar with most of the wines offered, I was given a taste of the 2 Pinot noires on the menu. After making my selection,,our server, poured a very generous amount into my nice, clean wine glass. Ok, at $19.95 for a glass of wine, I would hope for a generous pour! The oysters on the half shell were plump and sweet -cocktail sauce had a big kick. Shrimp were large. Also very good, our porterhouse steak for 2 was cooked to perfection although the strip side was a bit on the chewy side, otherwise very good. The prices have become just too high. The $99.50 Porterhouse is the highest priced steak I have seen. It is really good, but not worth that much.
The service carts used to serve and clear tables is sometimes bothersome. It's ok, but some staff leave it uncomfortably close while serving other tables and sometimes block comfortable passage through the tables.3/3/2013 12:00:00 AMChargrilled to PerfectionVery good steak restaurant. I love steak charred, which not many do & do well. Expensive but not over-the-moon. Lovely ambiance.
