New River Pizza & GrillA GREAT findThis restaurant is a wonderful surprise. While it appears to be just another pizza place, they have a tremendous chef and prepare great meals. The items on their weekend brunch are totally unexpected and as good as there is to be found anywhere. Who would expect to find Eggs Benedict on Shrimp Cakes at a pizza place? While their pizzas are fine, their dinner entrees, such as Seafood Risotto are outstanding! This is definitely a place we will go back to. On our last visit we had a late night sitting and the chef came by and chatted with our table for a bit which was a really nice welcoming touch.
New on the menu which I couldn't resist trying was the Shrimp Cakes appetizer and Chicken Risotto entree – oh my, it was so delicious! My husband ordered the Grilled Butcher Steak which was also very nice.
We had to leave some space for the cinnamon and icing sugar Zeppoli for dessert – highly recommended!

Last night we tried the dining room and were very pleasantly surprised by the delicious dishes and the outstanding service. Instead of just sharing a pizza, we decided to try the new Shrimp Cakes appetizer (delicious and flavorful) as well as two of the Italian entrees, Chicken Parmigiana on linguini pasta, and Pork Tenderloin. When we walked in, we were greeted by the friendliest server, offered beverages, and served garlic rolls.. The atmosphere was enjoyable and relaxing. We are so happy that we have found a friendly and affordable restaurant close to home! We will absolutely be enjoying many more meals at New River Pizza & Grill. We were just hoping for a quick pizza and a drink, but found a nice little gem of a restaurant with white topped tables and excellent pizza.
