As always, the food and service were great. The outdoor patio in the back is a real treat in the summer. Good selection of appetizers and salads -- fine for a meal, especially in the heat of summer. Good creative seasonal specials. Knowledgeable and friendly waitstaff. Nice every time!

This is a place we come to often, but not often enough. It's right in the middle of Sag Harbor's charming Main Street, near the movie theatre and the 5 & 10. It has a nice relaxed ambiance, interesting food but not wacky or trying-to-hard. There is a small porch in the back which was lovely on a pretty, breezy evening but it could be hot; the inside tables are in a more sophisticated setting, in a long narrow room. The bar is lively without being crazy. A reliably enjoyable meal, nicely presented, pleasantly served. n.b.They do include a service fee for larger parties (ours was 6).

We went here for out anniversary and since we had tickets to the musical at Bay Street theatre our reservation was at 6:00. Not only were the food and service exceptional but due to an early bird prix fix deal our meal was a little over $100. That includess a bottle of wine. I still can't believe it. I recommend the mushroom risotto and the husband loved the bolognase (sp?)

Service was terrible. Waiter forgot to order one of the main courses and it took 15 minutes for that person to get their food after everyone else had theirs. The maitre d ended up sort of waiting on us and the restaurant wasn't even crowded. The food was mediocre and over priced!

After reading the reviews we decided to try the New Paradise Cafe. We were quite disappointed. The food was average, although the effort was there. The price for this average food was too high, although I know it's the Hamptons and it's a short season, there is better food for the same price or less. After the initial specials list from the waiter, he was not to be seen again nor was the busboy, except to clear the plates (i.e. should not have to put our glasses at the end of the table hoping for more water but ending up asking for it when the table was being cleared). The patio was nice but not special and the host was helpful but neither made up for the disappointing food.

My wife and I had an 8pm reservation and were seated promptly. Service was attentive throughout. Duck spring roll appetizer was excellent. Garganelli and Shrimp main course was terrific. Broccoli Rabe with garlic and red pepper seemed to be missing the red pepper and was a little to heavy on the garlic and oil. My wife enjoyed the Vegetarian Wild Mushroom Risotto. Biscotti for dessert was very good. Overall I recommend and would not hesitate to return next time we are in Sag Harbor.

This Sag Harbor mainstay never dissapoints. The other restaurant of the gifted Robert Durkin of Water Mill's "Robert's" is a Sag local favorite. Robert know the biz inside out -- from kitchen to the front of the house. His well-trained skilled staff keeps it all going seemlessly with impeccable, yet informal service, and consistently well-prepared food. It's always a good time and a great meal. Enjoy.

As always, a fine dining experience. Great selection of appetizers, which made up the main meal for half our party. Good wine list including by-the-glass. We sat on the patio in the back, which is quieter than inside. The place was crowded on this summer weekend, but the kitchen kept up with the pace of everything just fine.

The ambience is welcoming and the service quite good. Most of the service staff, as in much of the East End of the Island is from away, They had a sense of commitment. The wines were a diverse selection, both price-wise and in selection. The crispy egg rolls were fresh and delightful, the calamari salad inventive, fresh and lightly battered. For appetizers we were quite satisfied. THe roast duck was crispy, well seasoned, accompanied by wild rice and an assortment of fresh vegetables and a reduction sauce that accompanied admirably. From the attention that was evident from the kitchen to the table I suspect all dishes will please.

Another nice dinner! For ages we have relied on New Paradise as the place in Sag Harbor for very good food, variety of choice, nice wine and the start to an evening at Bay Street Theater. The new show at Bay Street is fun and the soft shell crabs, salmon and a bottle of Sancere as good as I can remember. Service and management are A-1

Good food but a rather generic menu - the menu does not do the food quality and presentation justice. Salads were fresh and crisp. Tile fish was very good, as was the pork tenderloin. Strip steak was ok though slightly undercooked relative to our request for medium-well. The duck was tough and really the only disappointment. Wine list had plenty of choices in the moderate price range, little at the top end, but selections match well with food and menu price points.

I can always count on a nice experience at New Paradise, from the warm welcome at the desk to well-prepared, high quality food. Bread is freshly warmed, crusty and yeasty. I usually have the spicy calamari salad (a generous serving of cornmeal crusted calamari in a frisee salad). Fish is fresh here, whether salmon or the special bass that my husband ordered. Service is consistently pleasant whether busperson or wait staff. Sitting out back in the summer is quieter and I can pretend I'm on a real veranda and not a patio that overlooks the SH municipal lot, which is hidden by greenery.

We had a wonderful time. Went out on a date to celebrate, and had a nice table in the back. No body minded we stayed for a couple hours and enjoyed ourselves. Not over priced, certainly fair by Hamptons standards. A nice addition of specials to go along with a delicious menu. The duck spring rolls are up there as some of the greatest appetizers we've ever had.

We have been dining at the Restaurant for years, as management has changed. It is consistantly good, the service is excellent and the "prix Fixe" is a bargainn for the Hamptons and all its pretentiousness. Had a good dinner on a Friday night. There are not that many good restaurants for the price in this area.
